Went there to see a gastroenterologist and I got nothing but attitudes from the nurse desk, not to mention that when I told them that I'm diabetic and needed to eat they just said sorry there's nothing open to get food. That's just nice well I won't be going there again.

Place is terrible I ve waited 6 hours for our results back and still nothing. Workers are rude and not helpful at all. If your thinking about coming here turn around and go somewhere else. They d let you die in the waiting room before doing something.

I have been fortunate to not live in the area, so I hadn t had to go to this hospital.
I came with chest pain, shortness of breath, 170s/120s blood pressures and was left in the waiting room almost two hours.
My blood pressure was high the whole time I was there. They treated me like I didn t know my own body. I was mocked by two nurses. I had been stuck NINE times and they finally used an ultrasound to guide it. Which is what I asked for from the beginning because for some reason no one there can ever get it on the first try. I had asked every single person I was in contact with for Tylenol because when you have extreme blood pressures you get headaches, anyone in health care should know that. I was given two Tylenol about an hour before I left on my own.
I was given a nitroglycerin patch and not monitored AT ALL. No blood pressures, no ekgs, nothing hooked up. I called several times to try to get someone to remove the patch because it was making me nauseous and have a migraine. I was told my first ekg and second showed different things so they wanted to keep me to observe at least a night.
If my issues were so serious that I needed to be admitted to the hospital, why was I not checked on? Monitored at all? I pushed every button on the remote to try to get someone. No one responded for over an hour. I had to get someone to take me to the restroom because no one working would do it. I have a history of syncope and collapse that is well diagnosed. I was told not to try to walk around on my own. Yet, when I needed assistance to the restroom. No one ever came. I have a bladder condition that is well documented, so they should know someone cannot hold their urine for 6+ hours.
I went to another hospital after being treated terribly from ~1230-~7
The other hospital got my blood drawn and IV in, in one try. No ultrasound needed. They took me seriously, checked everything that needed to be checked. Gave me blood pressure medicine and got it all under control in less than two hours. They also treated my migraine. No questions asked. I didn t have to beg multiple people for Tylenol.
Super disappointed in my experience, but it s no different than any other time I ve been there.

I have a friend who's scared of doctors but needed to go for an infection on her arm and she wanted me and her girlfriend to go in with her to help her feel calmer and they only let one of us go in with her, I get with covid is still happening but this friend is very afraid of doctors so I don't see why two going in was a problem, they even had a sign outside thag said only two visitors allowed for each patient so it wasn't like we were over the allowed limit.

Today was the third time I've had to come to the ED here and I have a mixed review. I came via ambulance and was forced to wait in the waiting room for over 4 hours. The front desk and triage were rude and unsympathetic to my pain. (Turns out I had a uti and kidney infection - not a stone as I had assumed from previous experience)
But once I was finally given a room, I was surrounded by kindness and moderate efficiency. Dr. Jones is a fantastic doctor and helped with a difficult IV stick and blood draw. He ordered appropriate tests and medications. Meg was a pleasant and helpful nurse and Mark was a kind, albeit older, a bit uncoordinated and slow but attentive nurse as well.
Although my entire medical experience here lasted about 11 1/2 hours, I feel like I've gotten the care I needed - even if it took a long while to get started.

Went there and sat for 4 hours. After being sent there by urgent care. They put an IV in in triage, and took blood. Sat me back in the waiting room. After setting there all that time. I get a room, and was told they were just sending my blood off. Very unorganized and highly rude at the front desk.

Poorest excuse for a hospital that I've ever seen in my life and that says something because I've been to both this awful place and Smyth County Community Hospital. I went to get stitches last night and they took care of it and didn't give a splint and sent me immediately to work the next day only to have pain.

Me and my daughter had surgery here. Staff was superb to us. Dr cummins was most appreciative. Anesthesiologist Angela was the bomb. She was so great with my daughter. That was most important to me. I thank the surgery team.

They were very rude. They kept coming in and telling us one thing then they would leave and come back saying they were wrong. This happened 4 times. Then we sat in a room for 2 hours before they came in. Then we did some tests and they didn t come back four 3 hours. The only people who were nice to us were the radiologist and the X-ray techs.
