I'm a beer nerd and a foodie. This place served both vices well.

Chef Miguel is a maestro in the kitchen. The brie appetizer was sinfully delicious and the Chicken schnitzel was arguably the best I've ever consumed. The presentation of scorched asparagus atop a tower of schnitzel and red potato mash was impressive. So impressive, I had the desire to take a picture to show my friends. I fought that desire though, since I didn't want to be one of those douches that takes pictures of their food to share of FB.

The beer selection is more crafty amazing than craft. The selection included mead plus German, Belgian and English oddities. There were even a couple good American crafts too. Vlad the bartender provided excellent service and guidance.

I learned that there is a sealed off smoking area in this place too. I don't smoke but I know many who are always searching for a great place to have a beer and a cigarette.

If you are from out of town give this place a chance for one of your evenings. If you are a local, make this place your Cheers.

So I went here many months ago, and I guess they had just opened/relocated. At the time, I had a rather mediocre experience. However, I decided to come back after awhile and give the place a second chance. The second time, everything seemed to be much improved. (But I had also been hitting up their bar a good bit, so I thought my judgement might have been a little swayed, haha.) Another couple months passed, and I decided to go again this past weekend. Third time's a charm! Seems like they've been extremely responsive to feedback. The menu was easier to understand, the food was unique and absolutely delicious, and the wait-staff were all hilarious, and self-aware enough that it didn't feel too cheesy/forced. I got the Sausage and Mashers entree, and went absolutely nuts over the cinnamon carrots and the pear sauce. I also got the Mead Stout cocktail, which mixes mead, scotch, and lemon juice, and that was pretty tasty! Overall, I'd say definitely drop by this place for dinner sometime if you're feeling a bit adventurous! I'm planning to go again soon, and I would like to see one of the shows they put on upstairs. I've heard those are excellent as well.

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch there on shop small Saturday. He had the burger and I had the gallentyne(?) pie. They also had mulled wine, which was delicious, as was the bread pudding we shared for dessert. We have been to several medieval madness performances at the original venue and are looking forward to attending them at the new location. We will be back for more meals.

Tasty food and unique drinks. Medieval ambiance. Staff don't take it all too seriously; some are pretty candid, which I always appreciate. The sausages are quite tasty, as are the veggies.

We went in the early days and were hoping it would improve. It definitely has!

They have come into their own with the full, new menu. The sandwiches are the best deal, we love the pot roast sandwich and the Strongbow's dog. The fritters are great, too, but pricey (I think $7 for 3-4). The pork shank was amazing, but again, pricey. I haven't had anything I didn't like, but I have had one or two things I was disappointed with. For example the meatloaf is fine, but nothing special.

They have a good drink selection and lots of deals there.

I do wish they would change the music. Classical would be better than the strange mix of pop/rock they play. Why not Celtic rock? Or folk?

I have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the food has always been good. I did go here one night to celebrate my birthday and do the dinner theater in the upstairs portion of the restaurant, but the show was cancelled due to unforeseen illnesses for two of the actors. In order to accommodate those who had purchased tickets for the show, the restaurant offered 50% off of their dinner to be served in the restaurant if they stayed.

Did not regret stopping in for dinner. The meatloaf dinner is a huge portion of good home style cooking, the Sheppard pie is a bit on the small side, compared to the meatloaf. Everyone in our group loved the sweet potato tots. I also was happy to see Weihenstephaner beer offered. The place is nicely decorated, the waiters did a great job.

This really was the quickest lunch on King Street. Hot food buffet with salad bar for a reasonable $10. The food was unique and quite delicious. The vegetarian lasagna and asparagus soup was my favorite. Having a fresh salad bar is always a nice touch at a place like this. The staff are very interesting characters who certainly kept me entertained. Their garb and accents are from medieval times! I would love to go back for an evening show sometime.
