Super nice sales assistant from the nursery department who showed us all the information we needed for a pram purchase. Shout out to the friendly staff here! Very good shopping spot for any baby / kid needs.

I had often shopped at John Lewis over the years and their maternity and baby section and services are great. Their wedding list service is also good and I have personally tried both of them.
Now that the Debenham's store next door has closed down, John Lewis has and will become for popular with shoppers.
My recent experience was great because this was the only place in Oxford Street that I found children's crocs and in a variety of sizes and colours!
They also had a great sale on children's school shoes and competitively priced wellies.
The staff on the shop floor (children's section)were helpful but the staff at checkout were not (hence the 4 stars).
One of them was on her phone swiping and tapping away the whole time I was making the payment and absolutely no eye contact!
The other one was also not so friendly whilst dealing with another customer.
Overall the experience has been good.

Just bought some school uniform stuff online, and it arrived with an obscene amount of plastic and paper packaging - bags, hangers etc, all going to tip/recycling. This is irresponsible behaviour from a major retailer, flying in the face of current opinion and efforts to limit this kind of waste. We will be seeking a new source for this type of product until John Lewis can be bothered to deal with this issue and bring their ethical policies up to date.

Great service with a smile. All my clothes were wrapped beautifully. Great choice. Changing rooms to try things on. Well managed. Clarins were offering freebies. Wanted to stay for tea and cake but had to go. Love John Lewis!

If you need help buying ladies jeans, Will, on the first floor will sort you out! He was absolutely amazing and listened to my feedback after every trial, bringing out more and more options when ... Miracle of miracles, he found me my perfect pair! In fact, I found all the staff courteous and enjoyed lunch upstairs too.

It s July and I just tried to buy a sofa. A shop floor model reduced to clear from 800+ to 595. A bargain right? We saw it yesterday, did our research, were willing to go a bit over our budget to buy it. I trekked (back) in to London to purchase it only to find out they won t let me get it delivered until September!!! Because they want it for the shop floor and when I do deliver it they can t guarantee what condition it will be in. They are however willing to kindly sell me a full price one, which they would happily have explained at the sale point so I have no idea what I mean when I say their sign is deceptive. You wasted my time effort John Lewis.

What a store, what a place, what an experience. It is absolutely amazing to see that the spirit of department stores survive with the flagship store of John Lewis. It is large but accessible and organised, it is diverse yet specific with helpful, knowledgeable staff / partners everywhere and this store has it all. We browsed around and it is great to see different brands together and I would argue it's better then scrolling and searching on a webpage with ads. Some say they are more expensive / higher end retailer, but honestly they have products for every budget, for example their new Anyday range is very affordable. I would definitely recommend visiting this store and see what you can find!
