I was required by my company to take a CPR class which was held in building D at John Deere. We took a restroom break so I walked to the bathroom staying inside the yellow lines. Two men saw me walk by from the break room and waited outside the bathroom for me to come out. He approached me in a very rude tone asking if he could help me. I explained to him I was taking a class for my security job. He then replies saying that I needed safety glasses to walk on HIS floor. I said okay and told him I didn't realize I needed to. He kept questioning me why I was there. So I keep explaining to him who I am with and what I am doing. He then looks at me and again says "well you need safety glasses on my floor and uhm those shoes won't work either." As a visitor who had permission on property , also had a badge that said so and allowed me to have access in opening doors, I felt very disrespected. Rules are rules but at a professional stand point he did a very poor job.

Otr Drivers.. Stop at gate#4. Go to Guard shack and follow instructions on the signs. Stop at the stop sign take a left to go to staging area. Go to Shipping Office. Shipping clerk will break the seal. Drop the trailer in the staging area and make sure the landing gear is on the pavement. Go to assigned Lot letter or go to G lot to pick up empty trailer. There are nails and wood in the back of the trailer which is bs. Take a left at stop sign and head to the exit. Check out at gate#1 guard shack and show paperwork and verify the trailer is empty with guard. Bs on getting out.

Arrived 1.5 hours early and checked in, got the text with the door assignment before I left the guard shack. Was done loading and had the paperwork in hand in just under 30 minutes from bumping the dock.

Very efficient and secure facility. A very large property and a lot of traffic both transport trucks and employees moving product. Security was helpful in explaining how the process worked and where to go and what needed to happen at each step.

You know I gave up everything for this job once... I tried so hard to get hired on even went home crying because they took me to the office and told me that they were hearing bad things about me even though they said they didn't think they was really the truth they couldn't hire me because of rumors went to work for them again and it took a month to get on there and I couldn't afford the shoes and pants that they require for you to work there. So I didn't go and they called me but I couldn't work there I told my temp service my issue and they swear I didn't. And John deere was rude and said they didn't want me and that I was to go home. I don't recommend this job to anyone if they need people badly. And treat people like they do then I hope they crash and burn. Until they get their stuck up attitude fixed.

If you are a truck driver traveling I-40 West do not exit until you reach exit 23 on I-81. If you decide not to heed my advice and listen to your navigation absolutely do not get on HWY 349 to come to John Deere no trucks allowed on that road. Continue down 321 until you reach HWY 70 at the red light. Take a left. Your navigation should reroute by then.

Meh. This is for getting loaded. Signs up on the roads directing you where to go. Follow them. Drive around the guard shack, park in the staging area, walk to the guard shack with your po number or paperwork. Follow the directions. Get your call or text and go to the door as directed. When they're done they will call and you go get your paperwork. Drive around to the right to the exit gate and guard will seal your trailer. 3 stars because I spent 2 hours there. They do load you fairly quickly once you get to a door. Although I did get loaded before 2 other people that were there before me so idk.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I cannot stress this enough... the guard at the receiving desk did not know what he was doing, he appeared to be high or just mad confused because he was moving in slow motion saying "Idk whats going on man, its just crazy.." while the line just kept on stacking up... I seriously hope I never get sent here again!!! that would be awesome...

Good place to be loaded.
Guard was polite and helpful.
Everything is clear and understandable even for my Ukrainian a*s.
Pay attention for the signs and listen advises from guard.

24hrs 365 , there is a bathroom for drivers in the Guard Shack. Spotters aren't very driver friendly but they are better than some places. They're not truck drivers but most people driving Trucks today aren't truck drivers. I basically ignore spotters and they ignore me, however they do get your attention when they drop the trailers so close together you can't reach the dolly handle. LOL, no napping of course on their precious lot.

Muddy yard, rude guards (both male and female, contractor, not working for John Deere), main issue the big sign showing trucks 'gate is not big enough, so first you see a random gate with a misleading sign and a few docks. Don't get in there, proceed until you see the big square sign pointing the trucks' guard shack. The "team leading manager" should have the leading quality to fix that. Please put a sign on 1st gate that "TRUCKS ENTRANCE AHEAD". Nobody texts you with dock info, you park in the mud, walk to guard shack then they send a yard jockey to assign you a dock so THEN you EXIT facility and GO BACK to the 1st gate you saw.

Kinda of slow to unload being the parts I had were expedited from NC. Said I had the missing parts they were looking for, but still took them hour to a hour and a half to unload me. I figured if you was needing that bad you would of had me unloaded kinda of quickly, but what do I know I'm just a truck driver.

If you picking up a live load then you'll wait long, long. Finally when you get your paperwork you'll see they put time like you loaded within two hours and you'll not be able to get a detention. John Deere use to be a good company but those days are gone.

I must have came in the wrong damn way. Narrow winding two lane roads. Once I found this freaking place though I guess it was okay. No trucks in front of me at the gate and it was a drop and hook. Well, without the hook because there are no freaking empty trailers here. Guard was friendly enough I suppose

My only redeeming grace that day was that I got to drop my trailer instead of live unloading like the other poor slobs. But the problem is at the security gate, with the unknowledgeable security guard. He doesn't seem to know that the driver has to ha e possession of one of those bill of landings when he leaves the premises. They are not ALL for John Deer.
