Just a great place to get Mexican food in Texas. You can throw a rock in any direction and hit a decent Mexican food restaurant in Ft Worth but if you had one place to eat as you were passing through this would be the place.

Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Seats were not the most comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. They only take cash and do not split checks but the receipts are itemized. It is family style eating and there were only two menu choices for dinner. The food came out quickly and for the price the food was good. Just not run out and tell your friends and family good. I left feeling satisfied but given a choice I would explore other options before making a return visit.

Decor, service and serving size good. Unfortunately all this is not enough to offset mediocre food quality, long waits for entry, well-watered drinks and embarrassing rest rooms. I've certainly been in worse Mexican restaurants -- however there are a lot better options out there.

Save your money and go somewhere else. ... Also please note that Joe Ts only takes cash (something we didn't find out until the end of the meal).

A Ft Worth MUST DO.... loved this place since I first went with my Mom and Dad back in the 1970 s... their food has remained virtually unchanged for more than 40 years. I ONLY get their family style dinner consisting of nachos, tacos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and guacamole. Ahhh.... perfection!! Their patio is gargantuan sprawling nearly a full city block. So much character and appeal. Love this place!!!!!

Went there around 10pm. We got seated very quickly even though there was a lot of people. Drinks were good. Came to find out at night they only serve 2 different dishes. I got the beef fajitas. Plates werw very decently sized you get a good portion of rice beans, guacamole, tortillas. Our server was very attentive and checked up not to early and not too late. Definitely going back. Forgot to mention it was my first time there too.

We came on my mom's birthday which happen to fall on a Friday. Everything would have gone fine except for our waiter. After ordering the combo fajitas. He failed to mention that even though all fajitas normally come with the pico salsa and cheese and duh the tortilla's, he decided to change us for the combo of beef and chicken fajitas which was 17.45 AND a $1 for all the extra that normally come with fajitas. I have never heard of such a thing. Then the crappy server thought he did so well he deserved a $33 tip. Uh No....so never going back. Your service sucks and so does the food. Please inform your customers that you charge for everything!

P.s
The food is actually really gross!!

I've been coming here since I was a kid and I still love it. I've switched from enchiladas to fajitas but that's the only change. Fajitas are great and I love their corn tortillas. This is only one of two places where I eat refried beans, they're that good.

What an experience! Actually met the owner when I was being nosy looking at the various areas to seat people. The waitstaff told me they can seat 1600 people, with 3 full kitchens. You have to try this place just for the amazing patio experience. The food was pretty good.

THIS IS CASH ONLY!!

THIS IS CASH ONLY!!

That being said, don't be scared away by the large crowds of people waiting. Grab yourself a beer or margarita and hit up the line and make some friends! Sure, you could sit inside and avoid the wait, or you can join the line and experience Joe T's the way it should be, on the beautiful, shaded and breezy patio! CHEERS!

Vile violent food poisoning after my recent visit on Saturday evening, May 14th. I remember going before and it was marvelous. I was longing to go back. I should have stopped when the first bite of taco tasted funky....fortunately I was smart enough to stop after the third bite of my funky tasting enchilada...or I think it would have been much worse. I LOVE mexican food....but I won't ever, ever, ever go back.

Great food and amazing atmosphere. Got to sit outside and you can hardly tell it was hot. I really wish they would start accepting credit cards. The waiter was super friendly and speedy. He was nice enough to give my kids quarters to this in there fountain to make a wish.

Food was excellent. Big servings and reasonable prices! Server was wonderful, but service was ssslow. My friends and I got there around 11:35 AM and orders were taken about 5 mins. after being seated. The salsa and chips were great and they were refilled twice because we didn't get our food till about 12:05. The place may have been busy because it's Christmas season. It was our first time. Hopefully, it isn't always that way.

We have been to Joe T's many times over the years. This trip was a let down that will send us elsewhere.

The server was nice and tried to resolve the experience.

However, we ordered fajitas and the food was overcooked. The meat and beans were burnt into the cast iron pan and tasted like it. The manager never came by, instead an unseasoned meat dish was sent our way to take home that tasted worse than the meal.

We just had dinner there after not being there for a year, (while I was sorting out my diet), and the food was perfect- we had actually forgotten how good it was. The red sauce on my wife's enchilada's is as good as ever, and the meat in my combination fajitas was perfectly marinated. It's really easy to be low carb (keto) with guacamole, meat, cheese, sour cream and a little salsa there while the rest of my family has what they like too. A huge thanks to little Savannah, our server for taking the time to explain our options, and even modify my order according to the keto diet. We've always experienced Joe T's as having unparalleled, food, service, and professionalism, and I was glad to see that nothing has changed from this high standard!

First time, amazing food and great service! Get there early for lunch, 11:15 worked well for us. It was a windy cold day so we didn't mind sitting inside. The food was amazing, I know I already said that and if you ask me, I'll say it again.

Great ambiance - nice lights, but definitely a tourist attraction! The food was good, but not great. Not really authentic. The margarita was really strong, the service was fine. Probably wont be going again.

This place is disgusting!!! I had the enchiladas and my wife had the fajitas, enchiladas where very plane with canned enchilada sauce!! Fajitas was like skirt steak or hamburger meat and old dryed out chicken with some nasty sweet sauce! The tacos literally almost made me throw up, seriously just one bite! Chips are store bought chips and queso is so bland!! Do not waste your time or money here. I was born and raised in Texas and this place has to be the worst Mexican food I've had in the entire state!!!!!! Two major disappointments in north Texas Joe T's and the Gaylord!!!!

I dislike Mexican food. So it comes as a surprise that I would rate it a 5-star restaurant, but it far exceeded my expectations. There's no menu. You can get chicken or steak fajitas. (And something else I forget.) But seriously, it's amazing. Like what could they do to make it so good? I don't know but it was well worth the drive from Dallas and well worth the price.

The outdoor seating is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. However, I was very disappointed with the food. It was very overpriced for the quality you received. We ordered both the enchiladas and the fajitas. Both were lacking flavor. Our frozen margarita pitcher was also VERY watered down. I am rating three starts purely because of the beautiful garden and staff.

We had a great time at Joe T. Garcia's last night with several friends.
The food and service was excellent. It was a perfect evening for dining outside and we were glad that we chose this restaurant.

Our vehicle was broken in today during lunchtime in broad daylight while parked in their parking lot.Window was shattered out, vehicle ramsacked with personal belongings taken to include our checkbook and tools. They do not monitor their parking lot and do not care to help you when something like this occurred on their property. Owner refused to take responsibility for crimes committed on his property and only offered a refund on our lunch. Are you kidding me?? Will not be coming back to this place ever again. A police report has been filed.

This was highly reviewed, but we had the worst experience. They charge $25 a plate with a portion like childs menu. They only take cash, no cards...who does that these days. You order a fajita, they charge you for the sidea that comes with the fajita. The foos did not taste goo at all. They charge you $8 for a side of queso, very small serving. The service below mediocre, no smile or greetings from the server. The worst place to be at dinner to be with your family. We were here for our 14th year anniversary, and we were beyond disappointed.

Five stars because other people tell me it's a great experience. However... Take CASH. I actually left the line because I didn't have cash. And from what I hear, the food isn't anything to write mama over. But I do love a great dining experience! And if I get full and happy too, I'm almost home. So you should try it, with a group, if you have a chance.

Food was tasty but as you see posted, only two choices. AND CASH ONLY. Service was excellent. By all means go when you can sit on patio. It is beautiful!!!!!!!!! Plenty of parking. Even with limited menu items, if you can fit outside this is a must visit. Outside is also excellent for large groups

The best mexican food in DFW and the venue is even better! If you have not been to this location it is a must. Fair warning they ONLY accept cash so make sure to hit the atm before heading out . Also they only serve Fajitas or Enchiladas but both are AMAZING!!!

Lovely place with great scenery and wonderful service. First time here and greatly enjoyed the friendly staff and wonderful food. A great restaurant too bring the whole family. Some of the tastiest fajitas in Fort Worth. I will definitely be coming back.

P.S. The margaritas are delicious.

You have only 2 choices here enchiladas or fajitas. Which aren't bad choices if that was want I want to eat all the time I go to a Mexican restaurant. The fajitas looked like chunks of sliced beef with very little grilled peppers or onions. I wasn't to pleased about only having 2 options to choose from.
