Amazing margaritas! Seriously the best. Great atmosphere, very romantic out side patio. Be prepared to wait but it is well worth it. They don't advertise, only by word of mouth and when they're this good why would they?! Simply AWESOME!
Not the greatest food you'll ever eat but going to Joe T's isnt about the food. You can sit out in their beautiful garden patio at tables full with family anf friends. What Joe T's is about is having a good time, munchin on some chips and salsa or nachos while you catch up with some old friends.
Cannot beat the service, food is delicious and food is delicious.
My very favorite place to eat! My hubby took me there for mother's day...the line was long but the wait was worth it!
Great dinner at great restaurant. Waiter was quick and attentive. Took my wife there for the first time and she loved the place!!
A true white bread Tex Mex restaurant
Everything bland must be geared for cowboys
Awesome Waiter that my Husband and I hard for Our Anniversary Dinner
Those margaritas though. Yet honestly, during my stay I saw 2 people throw up. Those margaritas are a kicker and great but people don't know how to handle them and makes the place look trashy. People kept walking around the throw up until 15 minutes later when it was finally cleaned up. The food is decent, not the best but does fill you up. The staff here is friendly and laid back.
I love to come to Joe T s with friends and grab drinks. Great food as well.
Good food at a good price. Definitely better Mexican food around, but it's solid. Was going to remove a star because they don't take credit cards, but added a star because of the awesome patio. Great service and friendly staff.
The food is good and the margaritas are Great. It has a beautiful outdoor garden patio and that is where I prefer to be seated. Online, their reservation policy is not outlined well so, If you have a large group, call 2 weeks before at a minimum to claim a reservation.
Beautiful scenery and perfect food. Great for big or small groups
It's Joe t's. Not much else needs to be said. Never had a bad experience. Love it
My absolute fave. Go early- wait in line and ask your friends to grab margaritas. Sit outside and enjoy! Get the fajitas - one order feeds two people comfortably!
Really good food, rather costly, however the portions serve are more than enough for an individual or a couple. The service is also pretty good :)
Beautiful amazing venue but food wasn t like 5star worthy but definitely worth checking out and celebrating at!
The food is Awesome and the decor is really nice too.
This place was absolutely stunning. There were weddings going on when we dined here and understandably so. The food was plentiful and served fast although I wish it wasn t cash-only. All the food that came out was served fresh and hot. There wasn t one thing that I didn t like.
You just simply can't go wrong choosing Joe T's. Perfect place for group, or just a couple
Portion size was amazing, fajitas had a marinade that was to die for and the guacamole was the best I ever had. Our 2 portion was enough to take to a small party! We ate inside and avoided the long line waiting for the patio. Great great venue!
Great food and my party of 30+ were well satisfied. Nachos were great! Made to order exactly the way I wanted.
It's a time capsule and a museum the food is not good at all they should just turn in into a tour and not sell food and they only take cash update guys
The one bad thing is that they don't take credit cards. Cash only!
Food is authentic, big plus. Plenty of tables. Wait not too long. Moves real fast.
I came here once in 1993, and 25 years later it was just as great as I remembered. The back patio is beautiful. It reminds me of the River Walk in San Antonio.
Great authenticity, Great Margaritas and an absolutely gorgeous (huge, as well) patio with all kinds of well maintained greenery. Its nationally known for a reason and when the NFL comes to town they address Joe T's and show pics... Did u expect anything less?!
I'm trying to review more places so here we go:
I'd best sum up JTG with the following: Meh.
Everything was dece. Nothing was excellent.
Pros:
-Outdoor seating as others have mentioned is top notch. Truly beautiful.
-Guacamole served with Fajita dinner is plentiful, probably the most flavorful thing on the table
-Flour tortillas were soft and great
-Chips were solid
Cons:
-Salsa very well could be Pace
-Cheese dip (yellow) tasted like it was cut with cream of mushroom
-Fajita beef seemed much more like stew meat in state and texture than flank steak.
-Cash only could be an inconvenience for some
Again nothing I ate was very impressive. Overall underwhelmed.
Gorgeous atmosphere, amazing food and friendly waitstaff...will be eating at again
Amazing gardens, courteous staff and delicious food. We will be back!
Only couple menu choices, but food great. Great dining experience. Glad we arrived when we did, it's a very popular place. Plan to revisit it.
Good food and margaritas (I have had better) but a fantastic environment.
Fabulous food, vegetarian friendly, best margaritas and Brunch! Amazing ambiance (specially the garden/patio) areas
The best ambience anywhere in the world! Good fajitas, awesome margaritas.
Always a good time and good food. The margaritas sneak up on you real quick.
Nice atmosphere. I was thrown off by the family style.
Very nice atmosphere! Food was ok, too simple but still enjoyed it. Service was great, server helped us out being first timers there. Would go back again that for sure!
So this place is famous for thei fantastic landscaping. They have a beautiful garden with fountains, flowers and plenty of space for family gatherings. They don't have a menu, you basically select one of two items which means that their ingredients are always fresh. Their food is truly delicious. Wait time is approx 30 mins but it's worth it.
Visiting from California, stopped for dinner. The line was a bit long to be seated in the patio area but moved very fast. The patio is so big and beautiful! Had the mixed Fajitas (chicken and beef) plate. The meat was so tender, never had fajitas like this! Served with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and homemade flour tortillas. So delicious that we came back for lunch the very next day! For lunch I ordered the small enchilada dinner plate, another delicious meal! This was definitely worth coming back for. Also, the service is excellent! A MUST try if you are in the area!
The atmosphere is 100. They have a lot fountain. The garden so beautiful. But the food just OK for me. Is a good place bring family and friends to spend time.
Food is just not good at all. I have had better prepackaged fajitas from HEB. Guacamole is not seasoned. The cut of the meat is poor, cube meat, almost and most likely is stew meat. No flavor. Rice and Beans eeeehhhh. Taco cabana is even better than this. The margaritas are horrible. It's a pitcher filled with sugar water, cheap spit of tequila, and ICE. So when the ice melts the margaritas are even more watered down. Atmosphere fair, nice enough, but not enough to return for such horrible cuisine and drinks. Unsure of prices, I didn't pay and there is no menu. So can't even give you a value analysis. It's cash only, probably so you can't call your credit card company and let them know you didn't receive services rendered. Anything you pay is too much. It's a tourist trap. Go 2 streets down to a neighborhood Taqueria. True Trap House.
Streamlined menu and they only accept cash but the food is very good, service is fast, and the atmosphere is nice. The outside seating is great and they have heaters in winter. The place is huge and a bit mazelike and it is always packed.
First time going to Joe T.'s ummm I seriously was NOT impressed. I'm from Down South Texas where they cook with spices but this food had NO flavor at all. I don't understand why they sugared their fajitas . We ordered enchiladas but I don't think they were enchiladas, each enchilada had 4 cubes of tough meat in eat. The Drinks were great though!
I'm sorry and I don't mean to sound rude and all but I guess i'm just used to down south mexican food. The highlight of the evening was the fight that broke out as we were walking out, police had to break up the fight but then again who can blame that from happening when you have to wait 2hrs in line and people are drunk from the pitchers of Margaritas they're drinking while in line smh...well there's always a first time for everything but never again...
Family style Mexican food in the heartland of Fort Worth, what s not to love?
Always AMAZING!! So weird that we have had the same server the last few times, without request, but he's great!! Delish food; fajitas, enchiladas, nachos.....can't go wrong! Ps, margs are a must!!....but get a DD!
The Family Style dinner with family bowls of guacamole, beans, and rice, with your choice of 2 enchiladas with chips and hot sauce and hot tortillas is the best. The service is always good and friendly. Always, always good.
The only thing that is good here is the atmosphere on the patio. The margaritas are not that great either. I find it hard to not to be great when you only serve 3 items on the menu.
Amazing fajitas. Really good food and margaritas. Unique indoor/outdoor garden environment. It is cash only.
Average (at best) Mexican place. The outdoor patio for dining is amazing...great place to hang out and enjoy the weather. Definitely a good place for hanging with friends and family over margaritas...but if you're looking for good mexican food, you should look elsewhere. Menu is extremely limited, and offers nothing spectacular. Fajitas are chunks of meat instead of the traditional strips of chicken or beef. Other than the atmosphere, I have no clue why the line is around the corner for a table ALL the time. Would much rather go pretty much anywhere else for my Mexican food fix...
Our waitress was so nice. The patio is gorgeous. I prefer the more relaxed, less crowded atmosphere of a Tuesday night over the massive weekend crowd. It was a nice evening of visiting with friends and family.
Average, bland food. But the best patio dining atmosphere in Texas.
Beautiful dinning experience! Delicious spicey salsa! Definitely want to go back!
Wonderful atmosphere, very limited menu but that's part of the charm of the place-- and since it is so limited, they certainly do get it right. Priced very reasonably. Eat outside if it's nice out.
The place is an institution. Reminds me a lot of the salt lick South of Austin only for Tex Mex.
Menu is small and simple, food is good (not great but good), portions/quantity is a lot, service is great and atmosphere is awesome.
There's definitely better Tex Mex around but there's also a lot worse. It's a fun place to take visitors before or after visiting the stockyards or downtown fort Worth.
The menu is pretty much, cheese enchiladas (ranchero sauce, I prefer chili con carne usually) and/or fajitas.
Salsa is decent even if they use canned tomatoes.
Either way you'll leave happy and full and likely with leftovers.
My son had his wedding reception there. Everything was perfect. Cannot give a high enough rating to this famous Ft. Worth restaurant!!!
The enchiladas taste like spaghetti-o's, queso looks like cream of chicken, tacos were mostly lettuce, and tostadas looked like they were microwaved. This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Definitely not worth what we paid. If I could give negative stars I would. I couldn't understand why everyone suggested this place. The atmosphere doesn't make up for horrible food.
Wait was really long (1 1/2 hours), but everyone loved the food.
Went here for dinner on a whim about 2 hours before closing and they have no menus and only take cash.
This is the best Mexican food I have ever had anywhere in my travels. Servers were the friendliest also. So much good food and desserts.
The food is pretty standard fair, but the Margaritas and Outdoor make this place a staple of Fort Worth.
Great food, also great service. I definitely will go back if I'm done there agian
