A company approached me with a report after scanning my resume the score was 67%.
I paid to havee them reformat and in theory put in keywords so that I would increase may job search result. I asked them to rescan it, but they would not.
I used your tool and my resume scan did increase to 76%, but I don't think I got what I paid for from the resume company.

I found JobScan to work much better for my thought processes than working with a resume writer. I found this service to be simply amazing. The focused, cutting-the-fat approach to resume building and tailoring each resume to fit the job description was so incredibly helpful. The world of HR and employment has changed. I am a highly skilled professional and was surprised at the difficulty I had getting responses to my CV, let alone to interview stage.
Doing my research, I soon worked out that may larger and more reputable companies don't leave candidate selection to "people" anymore. They have autobots that parse your CV to text and run it through software. If the computer doesn't see you as a match, then a person will never get to read your CV. That's the unfortunate truth.

Don't just think of Jobscan when applying for jobs. You can use it to check and improve your LinkedIn profile. Think about your skills, use Jobscan to compare your candidacy with "ideal" job ads. Then, when you have your CV refined, reflect it on LinkedIn. This is so important, as it is how employers and recruiters look for you and validate your skills through your connections.
So, don't think of Jobscan as a tool only for seeking a new job. Using it to keep your profile up to date will significantly improve your online image.

I love jobscan I honestly do. In anticipation of an acquisition, my employer laid off 5% of the company. This was the second time in the past 10 years that I found myself unemployed.
Ten years ago, I sent resume after resume into the black hole of HR systems. After 3 months, i was able to get a temporary position through a recruiting agency I walked into.

This site is a SCAM!!! They charged me $89.95 twice for a one-month free trial and don't respond to emails. All the reviews on here give it 4 or 5 stars. That is enough to be suspicious. If you need resume help I suggest looking elsewhere...anywhere else other than jobscan!

Jobscan provides an incredibly valuable and easy to use tool that works. It helped me get several interviews and a great job offer.
I subscribed to Jobscan during my four months of being "in transition" between jobs. It was very useful to have a tool that could take a job description, and compare it to my resume, and show me how close (or not so close!) my resume fit the qualifications, based on key words. This helped me tailor each resume closer to the requirements, so that I had a better chance of being seen via applicant tracking systems. Company recruiters also had an easier time since I was using their terminology.
I would recommend using this tool for all job seekers to help get through the ATS maze!

Using Jobscan I went from a 50% match the first time around and then after making the suggested changes, boosted my resume to a 100% match. It works....I submitted my resume to a large health care organization on a Saturday and was contacted for a phone interview on the following Tuesday! I am not sure that without it my resume would have been picked using the keyword scanning tools I assume this company used. Thanks!
Jobscan is awesome. It really helps with the job search process. Sometimes it's not what you say, but how you say it. Jobscan was the push I needed to get through the resume screening process.
This website is a game-changer. I was previously searching and applying for jobs for a year and a half unsuccessfully, but within 2 weeks of using Jobscan, I had an interview for my ideal position. Fantastic system and exceptional content throughout the site, I couldn't recommend it enough.

The resume scan feature is worth it well beyond the generous free trial, I paid for the tool for a few months while in my own career change search and it was very helpful to run my different resume versions through the system to make sure what I submit is as close to the role posting as possible to get past the screening systems and in front of an actual human.
I was getting some responses on my resume but after using Jobscan my response rate doubled. Jobscan helped me tweak (in just a few minutes) every resume to match the job for which I was applying.
Right now companies in the tech industry or those looking for software developers, use AI to scan resumes. The AI systems pick and choose the resumes that best match the job posting. In many cases, your resume is never seen by anyone in the company if it doesn t match the job posting closely, so even if you have a great resume the system won t let it though unless you have exactly the right keywords.
These AI systems are not that sophisticated and so are very literal. If the person writing the job post says something like Candidate must be a self-starter, personable, and motivated then you better have at least two of those key words in your resume or you won t make it past the AI system.
It s a sad state of affairs but that s how it is now and if you want to get past the computer algorithms you need a product like Jobscan.
Jobscan helped me a lot in landing my dream job. With the help of keyword scan, I feel way more confident in my resume. My job hunting results proved it. For those who can afford to pay for premium services, there are options to scan LinkedIn profiles as well.

Back in February this year (2020), I got to know about Jobscan and started using it to tailor my resumes as I was looking for jobs in Melbourne, Australia.
My first job application using Jobscan secured me the interview in which I did well and got the job. In this sense, Jobscan works and did give me an edge to land the position.
Having said that, that is not the only reason I give this 5-star review. The other important factors include:

Jobscan is an amazing tool! It makes your job-hunt simpler, effective and saves a lot of time. I always made sure my match rate is above 80% for each of the jobs I applied and have received a call/email for phone interview for 60% of the jobs I applied.
Jobscan is great. They really help you edit your resume so that it gets your foot in the door. I learned that my resume wasn't bad, it just needed to be modified to better reflect my skill set. Utilizing Jobscan I actually found employment by tailoring my resume to what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for. I definitely recommend it.

I am an employment specialist who has been using JobScan to illustrate the value of keywords for resumes in this age of Applicant Tracking Systems. I can explain the importance of it, but demonstrating to clients how the computer "thinks" is what brings about the lightbulb moment.
Since running my "resume vs. posting" on jobscan and using your suggestions I have been receiving 2-3 job calls/emails per week-- compared to ZERO for months.
The crazy thing is, I already had the simple skills that these program scans/recruiters were looking for but they were not represented 'accurately' in my online resume. For instance I had "Microsoft PowerPoint/Excel/Word" and your scan showed I did not possess any of these basic skills. Per jobscan I merely changed the complete wording to "Microsoft Excel" and my match to the job shot up.

I resigned myself to believing I was never going to get a job in the field where I had 25 years' experience ... until I found Jobscan.
For 7 months, I tried to outsmart the Applicant Tracking Systems by using a word cloud/text cloud service to manually match word frequencies in my resume to job postings. I did get a few responses to my applications, but the response rate was incredibly low. I was frustrated and depressed; I spent hours, every day, looking for a job and was getting nowhere. Then I found Jobscan. I tried the Sample Resume and Job Scan function using the information from my last job application. Prior to running the scan, I thought I had updated my resume to be the perfect match for the job; once I ran the Jobscan match, I saw my match score was only 16%! The easy to use Live Score Resume function allowed me to update my resume in real time and see my match score improve until I exceeded the recommended 80% match rate. This is a really great tool. It focuses you on what your resume (and for that matter your cover letter) needs to say and how to shape it for each job you apply for. This tool is VERY helpful in making sure that your resume is aligned to the job description. It not only tells you how well it matches, but gives you the specific issue areas so you can be focused and efficient in getting the resume optimized. I found that while I was qualified for a position, my resume was a terrible match because I wasn't using the same words as the job description.
Kudos for creating a great tool for a success-seeker's collateral. When you find that one job posting that's exciting, you also want to expediently execute a top-notch resume to deliver quickly!
