The absolute best educational experience I have had so far with both my lil guys. The support they show not only your child but your family unit as a whole is unparalleled. Its like a shock when you leave this environment and enter the school system you miss the supportive family environment. This is my last baby, this is my last year with the league, I will miss you all and I am grateful for all you guys have done for us

Friendly staff. Good place for services for people with special needs across the spectrum. If you're having a hard time trying to figure out your special needs child, or even what to do; this is a good place to start.

My family and I visited League Education Treatment...

My family and I visited League Education Treatment Center for our 3 year old son who was diagnosed with Autism. Prior to our visit date, I am pleased to say that even my first many phone interactions with LETC was extremely impressive. The staff members were all pleasant and courteous. The atmosphere was welcoming; from entering the doors meeting security, alongside meeting the receptionist of LETC. When finally meeting with the intake and evaluation coordinator I had originally spoken with, I found her to be a breath of fresh air for myself and my family. I found her to be knowledgeable, informative, and passionate in her work. She helped in understanding the ins and outs of the program and all of what schools such as LETC have to offer any family looking to enroll. For me, this visit helped in putting all into perspective for my little one. I was able to find a "safe net"/support that was by far exactly what my family needed. Insight with caring individuals not looking for service to just run but run accurately according to the child's needs. 5-star

The Staff is Unprofessional, Dishonest, Reckless and Uncaring.

The only reason why The League Treatment Center/Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) located at 483 Clermont Avenue Brooklyn NY 11238 received 1 star is because that is the minimum rating I can give this poorly run school.

The following are the facts:

a) Children sustained injuries while attending the school such as scratches, bruises, cracked lip etc. But the school failed to document the bruises when they occurred. This is a serious problem because as a result of them not documenting the incident/scar when they occurred it lead to the school "wrongfully" filing a case of child abuse with a state agency.

This is extremely serious, because the last thing any loving and caring parent of a child with a special needs has to deal with is false allegations of abuse involving their child. Especially when it turned out that the injury that was reported by the school acturialy occurred during school hours. Also, one of the Teaching supervisor admitted to seeing the injury mid day while school was in session. NOT when she removed the child off the school bus in the morning as the report "falsely" stated. The child NEVER sustained the injuries at home as the school falsely reported. The injury occurred at school. This is why I refer the League Treatment Center / Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) as dangerous and reckless. They are very quick to file a false report abuse. Loving families could easily and wrongfully be divided and separated. In spite of the parents innocence.

I also called the school unprofessional and dishonest because the child was in a small size classroom that was suppose to be supervised by teachers. Who was watching the students while these numerous incidents that resulted in scars occurring??? and I am not talking about an occasional boo boo either. I'm talking about scratches, bruises, and badly bruised/cracked lip that look like a busted lip to the point where the school thought they had to get a state agency involved. The truth all of this occurred while the child was attending school. Never at home.

I know they are wrong for putting loving parents in this predicament and for allowing children to sustain repeated constant injuries while under their care to the point where they had to get the state involved when they could have simply resolved the issue once the parent had brought the abuse to their attention by doing the following: a) acknowledging when it happened and properly documenting it. b) Hire teachers who properly monitored and supervised the students to prevent the abuse from occurring in the first place c) simply have all the facts before filing a state report and know all the facts before stating "The abuse occurred at home" which unfairly and inaccurately blames the parent for the child injuries.

Therefore, I feel it is my duty to warn other loving parents about the destructive pattern of the League Treatment Center/ Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) .
