Came because my uncle cut his nose off they was rude didn't care took there time literally let him lay there and bleed out. Was there for hours I will never come back I will take my chances driving to madisonville. I understand they may be underpaid but people's lives are at stake and they just slowly move around as they do not care

I gave one star cause I can't give zero. The worst hospital ever. Unfortunately it's the only one by me. The doctors don't care about the patients the nurses are unpleasant in the emergency room and rude a majority of the time. They dont have the proper equipment or training and really just want to get you in and out. I was misdiagnosed twice here and had to go elsewhere and had surgeries following this both times. The patient advocate didn't care and neither did the doctor or the hospital itself. Don't go here. Ever.

The only reason for a single star is that the medical and tech professionals were very good and deserve a much higher score. Unfortunately the billing side would have warranted a negative score.

I had a CT scan done in January. I was told my portion of the co-pay would be $950 and had to be paid before I would be provided any service. I took them at face value and paid the "co-pay" amount. Didn't think anything else about it. Until mid March when I received a bill for almost $7000 claiming my insurance had not paid anything for the CT scan. The letter even threatened collection action if it wasn't paid within 15 days even though it was the first bill they had sent me.

Looking online, I found that my insurance had in fact already resolved this bill back in January only two weeks after receiving the claim. I also found that my co-pay was only supposed to be $57. So I called the number on the collection notice to discuss.

I was told not to worry about it because that had been re-submitted (don't know why they would be re-submitting something that had already been addressed months prior). So I asked the young lady on the phone if I would be seeing a refund of my almost $900 extra I paid above the co-pay within the 15 day deadline they were threatening me with. It has been over two months and I have not heard a peep from them or been refunded the extra co-pay they charged me.

I guess I'll have to start looking for any government agency that investigates hospitals for fraudulent activity in billing and insurance claims.

The staff and nurses were so sweet. With everything that has been going I have to say they are really holding it together. Doctors seemed a little impatient I was interrupted alot trying to talk them while staying there. I didn't really care for that. Food was awful. One day it actually looked like wet dog food on cooked pasta. I had the nurse come in and take it out. It smelled...I'm a type 1 and unfortunately I've had my fair share of hospital visits and nutrition is very important.

Went to ER on 10/16/21 with chest pain, shortness of breath and rapid heart beat. ER doctor gave me a aspirin and ran alot of test. He decided to keep me for observation I ended up staying until 10/20/21. Once on the 7th floor I met 3 great people Brittany, Sean and Ashley. These 3 took very good care of me they need a raise. The food was horrible they should let you choose your meals I was starving after 4 days. I see why this hospital got such a bad name.

I'm a Veteran and I was having a break down. First of all they made fun of me in my mental state and made jokes about me with EMS so screw them. I promise I will never go to this hospital again

We took my grandmother to Jennie Stuart for increased shortness of breath, central cyanosis, and confusion. When we got there, they had policies implemented for COVID-19 which is very reasonable. We did not mind the wait. Of course we understood that an emergency room would be busy, and that it would be time consuming; however, what I didn t understand and in fact cannot fathom is the lack of unprofessionalism that is within this facility.

My grandmother got one talk with the nurse practitioner and he discussed nothing further than relaying that her x-rays looked fine . I the. Asked about laboratory values, etc. and was blankly ignored. When asked for a copy of lab values and imaging to make an educational medical decision for her once discharged they said we don t have to provide you with that . After they left, her oxygen then downtrended to 81%-88% and maintained. No one came back in. We then noticed her blood pressure down trending to which her MAP was below 50. No one came in. The only time thereafter that some came in was with a wheelchair to wheel her out.

After getting my grandmother out of the ER, I then listened to her lungs in which she had extensive exploratory wheezes. They did not give her a nebulizer treatment. They gave her PO dexamethasone and PO Zofran. I then got her home and to no avail she could barely walk- surprise, surprise this is very common with covid. She could barely walk from the front door to the kitchen counter, and therefore I had to get a bedside commode and place it in her living room. The emergency room needs to start suggesting other alternatives because they offered nothing. The ER APRN literally asked if you she had oxygen at home, and when answered no he was like, we ll make sure you see your PCP first thing in the morning. Could we have at least been referred to an infusion center for BAM or something?

I work in healthcare, and I understand the limited beds, and that covid is getting out of control, and that empathy and sympathy fatigue is a real thing but, you cannot continue to treat people with the utmost disrespect.

I will never suggest family, friends, acquaintances or anyone for that matter to your hospital. I will 100% drive to either Bowling Green or Nashville. Again, I understand the frustration and exhaustion that comes with covid. I work the covid unit at my hospital, and can quite frankly say your hospital is not doing it s job in ensuring people of the best quality care possible. I think there should be sensitivity training for all ER staff, and that includes providers as well. Because the because I don t have to, I m not going to is not going to cut it. Working in healthcare is privilege not a right, and coming from a nurse a well it s a choice to help and serve your community if you re not there to do just that, then maybe you should find another career path.

Again, this hospital should be ashamed of itself and quite literally I ll be cheering for the day the doors close forever.

Went up there cause I injuried my foot while on vacation. No other place were available for x-rays so I went to the er... The nurse practitioner who was working was extremely rude. And when I called her out on her bedside manner she replied this place for emergency not a week old trama. Then accuse me of being a drug seeker. Not professional whatsoever

I moved to Hopkinsville from WI in Dec 2020. I went to Jennie Stuart because it was close. I have never in my life received such horrible care from a facility as I have from Jennie Stuart.
My primary care dr takes a month to provide referrals for serious issues as well as told me no specialists would see me for major issues as to my previously havingcare for them in WI, the rheumatologist is extremely rude and unprofessional, the GI just ships you off to another Dr so he doesn't have to deal with you and does not listen to the patient. The ER, I had to bring to the attention of the nurse that the reason the blood pressure cuff was not working after his 6th attempt was because it was set to take the blood pressure of a baby.
I was told by many locals this is just a "bandaid" hospital - meaning it's the place you go to get temp care before going to the real hospital. What ER has no private rooms? Is this not a HIPAA compliance issue? When I was in the ER "room" which is a section with a wrap around curtain, you can hear the dr talking private health issues in the next "room".
I would rather drive the 10 hrs back to WI then ever go to Jennie Stuart again.
As an added note, Jennie Stuart Urgent Care is amazing, they should make that the model for the hospital - staff is friendly, the Dr's are great and you get quick and thorough care.
