I moved to Hopkinsville from WI in Dec 2020. I went to Jennie Stuart because it was close. I have never in my life received such horrible care from a facility as I have from Jennie Stuart.
My primary care dr takes a month to provide referrals for serious issues as well as told me no specialists would see me for major issues as to my previously havingcare for them in WI, the rheumatologist is extremely rude and unprofessional, the GI just ships you off to another Dr so he doesn't have to deal with you and does not listen to the patient. The ER, I had to bring to the attention of the nurse that the reason the blood pressure cuff was not working after his 6th attempt was because it was set to take the blood pressure of a baby.
I was told by many locals this is just a "bandaid" hospital - meaning it's the place you go to get temp care before going to the real hospital. What ER has no private rooms? Is this not a HIPAA compliance issue? When I was in the ER "room" which is a section with a wrap around curtain, you can hear the dr talking private health issues in the next "room".
I would rather drive the 10 hrs back to WI then ever go to Jennie Stuart again.
As an added note, Jennie Stuart Urgent Care is amazing, they should make that the model for the hospital - staff is friendly, the Dr's are great and you get quick and thorough care.
