It is highly a must to see Monument to the Dream before taking the Tram to the top of the Gateway Arches. This movie will definitely make you appreciate the Arches more. It would also be best to get your tickets in advance online because sometimes they do sell out fast. Case in point, we had to wait 3 hours before being able to get a Tram but the Museum which is free, entertained us. An educational place to take your kids and learn about how St. Louis was built.

Love the amount of information in the museum, the food at the cafe was actually really good.
Obviously a great view, amazing structure.
I love that the museum is underground and doesn't obstruct the Arch.
Get tickets WELL in advance if you want to go up.

a truly relaxing experience, I really enjoyed visiting this place, I do not live many kilometers away, however I had not had the opportunity to know it, I loved the atmosphere of this place.

What a cool place, super nice updated museum with lots of great history and interactive exhibits. We did the tour with the guide and it was really great! We didn't go up to the top this time but will in the future.

Lots of history. They really did a great job with the remodel. I'm glad I visited again. I've lived in St Louis my entire life and I'm amazed every visit. Also if u love math the beauty of the calculus involved in creating this monument will please you. The width of space between the feet equal the height and that titillates me!!!

After what seems like years of rennovation, the Gateway Arch National Park (formerly the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial) has now opened. The arch itself and the tram elevator system are unchanged, but the museum is completely remodeled with exhibits that are written in easy-to-read everyday language, replete with excellent artifacts. Very impressive. Admission to the museum is free, but trips up the tram to the top of the arch have a fee. The wait time to pass through security is about 30 minutes, so adjust your expectations (PS if you want to take the tram or watch the movie, you have to wait in ANOTHER line, which seemed perhaps only slightly shorter).

Museum is well done. Be sure to buy your timed ticket to go up in the arch upon arrival to the museum. During busy season, not everyone gets a slot. Very easy ascent, even for my height-sensitive husband. Great views!

The top of the Arch is undoubtedly the best way to get a bird's eye view of the St Louis area. Plus, if you like history, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore the museum; it is wonderful!

The remodeling of this monument was really well done! Enjoyed going through the new expanded museum. They now have a new entry closely tied to downtown St Louis and the old Court House.

Be prepared for a long wait to the top. It could take up to an hour from your tram time to the time you're actually at the top of the Arch. It can get quite crowded at the top, but worth it. Leave plenty of time.

The tram ride up and down is definitely interesting. Be pleasant and make sure you don't have BO cuz this is the closest you'll ever be with stranger in a really small and tight space. Definitely an interesting experience.

Very busy but we'll organized. Got through security quickly. At the top, it was crowded and very noisy with a lot of excited tourists all clamoring for views from the windows. It was great though because everyone was polite and giving each other time to look. The park guides even passed out binoculars so people could watch the Cardinals game going on nearby in Busch Stadium.

Tallest man-made monument in the US! The view is amazing and everything has just been remodeled and looks so beautiful! Definitely a must in Saint Louis along with the carriage rides, Zoo, Science Center, Brewery, City Museum, Union Station, the list seems to never end!

We enjoyed the visit, and made it to the top of the arch. However, it was tough to see around all of the people. There were also a couple of staff members who refused to move out of our way, seeing that my kids were clearly trying to get to the window they were near. Otherwise, we enjoyed the experience overall.

They redid the museum since the last time I was there. I feel like there is more interesting exhibits and information in it. There is at least one minor thing that's wrong (buffalo hide/fur). Especially since it's free, it is worth checking out. You do need to go through metal detectors to get to the museum so just know that. Security was nice and let me go through with my baby in the baby carrier (baby wear).

Beautiful riverfront park and the museum is FREE! It was a really great museum too: interactive, lots to look at, and did a great job showing different perspectives of western settlement, St Louis growth, and even the building of the Arch... I was super impressed!

Definitely worth the time! I appreciate the fact that the struggles that have taken place over the last century are not sugar coated. I enjoyed learning about how the arch was selected.
