Outstanding new museum and grounds around the arch...
Outstanding new museum and grounds around the arch! My dad and I really enjoyed ourselves. We've visited a few times over the last 40 years and this time was a lot of fun. Impressive.

The improvements for under the arch or wonderful a lot more pictorials easy to view
Work in progress still but it is very lovely now. Great for Pokemon Go.
The memorial is amazing. Do yourself a favor and no matter the cost or the amount of time, go to the top of the arch and check out the amazing view and Engineering it took to put this magnificent Monument together. Once in a lifetime experience.
A great experience both the arch ride to the top and museum
I had to go being a tourist and all. I saw it from a distance and we headed over. It seemed bigger than expected. You can go up and there s a great view. There s a surrounding park nice for relaxing walks and there are snack and gift shop.
Wow! What a great remodel for such a great asset to the city!
One of my favorite places to visit every since a kid now I take my kids!
Anyone who visits St. Louis must visit the museum and Arch.
The expansion memorial has a fantastic museum with tons of historic scenes that are great to check out by yourself, with friends or family.
The arch is pretty much one of the most amazing things in the U.S.
You get to ride up in this little egg like pod up inside the leg of the arch and once at the top you can see for miles and miles through the little windows at the top.
You can also feel the wind move and sway the arch.
Go there!
Historic landmark and definitely something everyone should see at least once. Great park and museum complex. Didnt go up into the arch this trip. Maybe the next time.
Extremely cold and windy on the day we visited but well worth it my favorite part of the Arch was the view from the top as well as the Old Courthouse across the street.
First visit since renovation. Very impressed with new exhibits.
Looked nice but terrible for parking. Couldn t really enjoy it for that reason.
I'll sure it's nice now but it was under construction when i passed through
Great experience, nice view, not rushed by staff or herded around. Only issue is space, those trolly cars are not designed for big guys.
Great place to walk, relax and watch the river go by in downtown St. Louis. The museum under the arch is a great way to pass tine while waiting to go up in the arch.
The old cathedral is still active. Also the old courthouse is open with its own museum.
We went right after the renovation so there wasnt a lot of people there. If you are claustrophobic check out the car size in the lobby before you go up. As for the museum, I bought a souvenir mug to give as a gift. It said it was dishwasher safe, however, the image and the lettering washed off after the first time. Very disappointing.
It was a lifting experience. Docents were knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful evening to be there too.
Beautiful place to visit, even if your not going going up into the arch. Have taken the kids there a few times just to walk around outside.
Newly renovated and so beautiful and modern! Had time for about an hour in the free museum, and there was a ton I didn't get a chance to see. There is a security checkpoint to get into the museum, but the staff are friendly, thorough, and quick.
Tons of stuff to see and learn. Lots of topics to check out.
We visited the arch in St Louis but we did not go into the visitor's center. The river next to the arch is still very flooded. There are places roped off where you can not go at this time due to flooding. The arch itself is a must see if you are in or around St Louis. I'm sure the visitor's center is nice as well, we just didn't have enough time to go in to it.
Very nice and spacious place, they close early, the entrance is free, going up to the top has a cost, very nice place for photos, you can see a lot of history, it entertains you easily 1.5 hrs
Obviously a must see monument. However, with the renovations (which look amazing) parking was a bit out of the way and you couldn't go into the visitors center after a max head count. These are temporary so I hope to go back and get the full experience. Friendly staff and phenomenal views.
We did not have time to go up into the arch we where passing through/traveling
Loved visiting the Missouri arch. Very informative.
The park grounds are beautiful! I really love all the improvements that have been made over the years!
Absolutely Breathtaking! Very nervous and scared to do the tram up and be at the top, but with my family I was able to do both! Definitely a must do if you are in Saint Louis! Recommend to book your tickets early online!
Fantastic! No other museum is even half as great as this one. An entire joy!
Thats pretty neat!
Good location. My only suggestion would be to rebuild it expanding across the Mississippi/Missouri river to the other side.
Thatd be cool.
And it would be more encompassing of the expansionism that's why it was built.
Great place to visit...scratch it off the bucket list!!!
Amazing experience. Very helpful and kind staff. A must see!
Didnt go up this time. Had the dogs with us. But the river front is beautiful, and the Arch is so awe inspiring
Nothing was open due to Covid 19 shut down, but got some great pictures and took a carriage ride.
This is the first time I have been in the museum since it was renovated. It is spacious and beautiful. The trips to the top are well organized and flow people as quickly as possible. The museum itself is free and a great place to stop in Downtown St. Louis.
Architecture fascinates me. I was not expecting the displays on African American and Native Americans. Nothing fancy but informative. There was a Plexiglas model of the courthouse and visitors were able to ascend to the top of the dome stairwell. Just two levels under the apex. The gift shop was small. I would have purchased a book on the construction of the dome if such a book had been available. The building was air conditioned and there were places to catch your breath while watching the documentaries. Also, located near other places to visit in walking distance.
Got married at the Old Courthouse....it was beautiful and the park rangers were very accommodating!
A must-do while in St. Louis and for fans of US monuments. Riding the capsule to the top and viewing the surrounding countryside is exhilarating! The inner structure of the Arch can be seen through the capsule windows. For those who can't or don't want to ride to the top, the museum showcasing the settlement of Missouri as part of the Louisiana Purchase is very interesting. We went in February so lines were VERY short.
While under construction during our Summer 2017 visit, the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial provided wonderful views of the Mississippi River and the Gateway Arch above. If you're out in the middle of the day, be sure to wear sunscreen--there's very little shade in this area. Very pedestrian friendly with wide walkways and dedicated crossing areas.
Watch the movie! The construction workers were no harnesses
A lot more to the Arch than riding to the top! Had a great visit and learning about the history behind the construction and afterwards exploring the museum.
You gotta come here to learn more about the history of St. Louis and Missouri.
This was my first time at the Museum since the remodel and the new park open. Halfway into the park, my 3 yr old began bawling because she had to use the restroom BADLY. So I rushed to the first door I could reach, which was unfortunately the back exit (former only entrance) I begged the guard to let us by just to avoid her peeing/pooping her pants but he refused. Insisted we use the front entrance- 500 ft away. The bathroom is 100 ft from the guard. Wonder how many heavily pregnant women he turns away daily, too.
