One of the most beautiful places in St. Louis standing next to the great Mississippi River need to visit in the night to see it colours
smacked my head twice on the tram. 5/5 would smack head again.
A perfectly beautiful place and beautiful view. must visit place if you come to st louis.
the park department removed the old parking garage and now all of the parking is too far away.
Terrible time to visit. Archgrounds u see construction, no museum open and few comfortable places to sit
Arch is beautiful but in a sketchy location. I've never been to a tourist attraction that looked so desolate.
The remodel is stunning. The Arch grounds are very picnic worthy.
If you live in St Louis you call it the Arch, Old Courthouse, and the Old Cathderal. The area has been under renovation for the last two years. The construction will be finished in July 2018 I am looking forward to the new interactive museum opening. I will give a better review after the Grand Re-opening.
If you are in St. Louis its a must visit place. Specially if you go to the top, some amazing views, we went there before the sunset and enjoyed both Ariel views the day and night, watching sunset over the stadium was magical. Make sure you don t have any breathing issues as the lift which takes you. To the top is quite congested and closed from every side. You will love the views from top of Arch.
Very cool and amazing structure. The view from the top is a site to see!
They have a lot of interactive displays in the exhibits, and we learned a lot in a short time. Definitely worth spending time in the museum while waiting on your tram time. Also, be sure to purchase tickets ahead of time; we were glad we did because the rides were sold out.
Construction is still going on to update the museum under the Arch and the grounds. We had to buy tickets in the Old Courthouse located several blocks to the west. Worth the visit. Great views.
14 bucks for adults. 10 buck for kid. Space a little thight up there. But the ticket quite cheap and the exhibition about journey to the west on the main flour is pretty interesting .
Fantastic!! Great architecture - steel steel steel. The ride up was amazing. Makes one ponder on what humans are capable of building...
It's been totally revamped, and is perfect for energetic dogs!
Way bigger than it looks! Really a sight to behold!
Visited arch almost 31 years prior as 23 year old & still found it interesting because landscape had changed obviously. Small museum was nice and VERY informative. We can thank St. Loius for winning one if first fights in Courts against discrimination against craft building the arch, forced Unions to change their ways. Wow significant movement started because of the arch. My 18 son year enjoyed it as well. Lady Congressman in 40s or 50s fought for funding arch, so appraently female role models did exist way back. People should study & learn from her successes. Did not do boat tour or movie.
We are all Cardinal fans, Busch Stadium is there home, win or lose
It has an elevator in it with a great view of St Louis well worth the stop
The architecture and engineering behind making this thing...incredible. The museum is also a really cool experience.
Eventhough there is a major construction project going on, it is great the history that is preserved and the Arch is awesome.
I go here with my best friend late at night to watch her skate down by the river front under the night lights..
Everyone should stop and see this. The view is awesome.
I love the trail loop at this park. One day I'll have to check out the abundance of museums within the grounds, but for now the trail alone earns 5 stars from me.
Always a great experience each and everytime. I can't wait until the museum is reopened--it will further enhance the experience!
Great information and layout. And free if you don't sign up for the ride!
The arch is awesome. Most employees were nice, but Security was very rude!
Unable to go up inside because closed for maintence even though I had tickets. I recieved a prompt refund upon request. Beautiful and impressive on outside.
To be a true Missourian you must visit the Gateway Arch.
The elevator ride is not that bad.
The views are worth it.
There is plenty of history, as well.
This place is amazing. An absolute must visit if you are visiting St. Louis. Going to the top of the arch is awesome. There are some amazing views up there. The museum is incredible. I could have spent all day in there, but my daughter's attention span isn't that long. Though she had a good time in there as well. There are alot of interactive exhibits that kept her entertained. The museum does a good job telling the history of St. Louis and the history of the arch.
Other visitors offered to take photos for our group. The park was clean with concrete paths for walking. All dogs were leashed and allowed to walk on the grass.
Interesting place. Picked up some tidbits of History I never realized.
This was my 2nd visit. This time with 5 year old twins. They loved the Arch.
Lots of great info on the city's history, the country's westward expansion migration, and the design and construction of the Arch itself.
Couldnt go up tram messed half way up.had to get refund
My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves here . It really is a beautiful place. The only drawback is the parking...
You have to find parking in the city nearby as the arch has no parking on site so there's a lot of walking. We parked on the south end and found two adjacent parking lots across from each other and parking was only $10.00. Everyone else was charging way more and no security. Granted we had to walk a half hour but we found a cute Mexican restaurant to enjoy a couple of cold beers and a appetizer to help us on our short journey to the arch via the riverfront park which was completely overhauled and what a remarkable sight. It was absolutely beautiful. Lots of beautiful landscaping freshly manicured grass and clean pathways . A great place to spend time with your furry friends. The arch is a exciting and a remarkable work of wonder with a fantastic history behind its creation. For all you veterans and disabled persons make sure you have your VA card so you can sign up for a free Access pass to all national parks and federal recreation lands pass. This is located at the main central lobby between the museum and the entrance to the arch.
To reach the top of the arch you'll have to squeeze into a 4 person bubble lift and believe me it's a tight fit and watch your head, make sure that you lower it upon entering . If you served in the Navy you will feel right at home.
Your ETA is only 5 minutes to the top and a 4 minute descent. The view at the top is breathtaking. So have your camera ready and prepare to be amazed.
Great and newly renovated! Don't forget your America The Beautiful Pass.
The LIME Scooters are the way to go. Well worth my 20 bucks for 2 hrs. Was able to see alot more of the city and cool paths... Without all the pain of walking. Lol
I was there maybe 12 or 13 years ago and it was enjoyable, spring forward to today and the upgrades that have been done are awesome.
I've always wanted to see the Arch in St. Louis and I definitely was not disappointed.
It was closed because of our wonderful crying president.
Really cool. Had no idea you could go inside and go up to the top!
A must see and a must do if you are visiting St. Louis!!!
Its beautiful and you can ride a cart up inside of it!
