"School choice" is an ongoing caste system which perpetuates achievement gaps between schools.
While we ask others "which high school did you attend?" we are being left behind the rest of the world.
There are children in JCPS that don't know how to use a basic ruler.

I think JCPS should restructure their tardiness policy s. A child can get caught in a traffic jam like my granddaughter did this morning on Dixie Highway and was five minutes late and had to go sit in tardy hall instead of going straight to her room. There will always be some reasons for kids being late and the district could care less.

They have helped me alot but things has happened and now I haven't had the time to get the rest of my courses done. Found out jcps high school missed with my GPA and told me lies I could of walked with my class but they missed my head up. Never go to southern high school. Worse and has gotten worse since I have left since class of 2014.

Very interesting seeing the 5 stars on others ratings then reading the reviews and the comments have nothing to do with the school system they're rating a dining experience. Not to mention the rating and comments I posted yesterday aren't there. JPCS website looks great and promising for special needs children, low income children of color and adopted children but the experiences they have are very different from what's posted on the website.

This district had a chemistry teacher named William Bennett(in black suit pictured below), who worked at Marion C. Moore High School. William Bennett told this black child that he would just be another black boy to be shot . This student was a gunshot survivor.

The chemistry teacher fought this child, and grabbed his hair not letting go. Jefferson County Schools is only transferring Bennett, despite assaulting a minor and being clearly racially aggressive. Don t let your children come to any school in this district that refuses to fire and legally charge this menace.
