Fast and efficient same day ordering and pick up of Japan Rail pass

We collected JR passes ordered online at Japan Travel Centre which was a simple and quick process. After asking some advice from staff Risa then supported us around planning an itinerary, logistical considerations, car hire and booking accommodation. Advice and support was detailed, quick and incredibly helpful and we could not have planned such an amazing trip without their expertise and guidance.

Initially I was very happy with their service in booking a trip, however, due to the pandemic it had to be cancelled. After they emailed me to say that they want to refund me the cost of the trip, they have since completely disappeared without a trace and without returning the money.
I have tried in numerous ways to get in touch, to no avail...
I am extremely angry that this is how they treat their customers, especially when it took so long to save up for this trip, which was meant to be a present for my family...
I would give 0 stars if I could. Avoid at all costs!!

We went to the Japan travel Centre in Holborn when we were planning our honeymoon last year (2017). They were very helpful and we thought we were so lucky to find them. If we went only with their advice we would have been ok. Two stars for that.
Unfortunately we booked our hotels through Japan Travel Centre as well and we regretted it massively afterwards! Three of our hotels (we supposed to stay in some of these for 2-3 nights) were completely horrible with a view I wouldn`t wish for even on a business trip and not on honeymoon! It felt like some kind of budget hotel. We kept emailing them from our honeymoon being shocked! We ended up booking a hotel in Kyoto ourselves as I refused to stay in a hotel Smile they booked for us. Two hotels we found ourselves (incl. the one in Kyoto) in Japan were lovely and for a reasonable price too. Honestly, our honeymoon could have been so much better if we booked all the hotels ourselves!

Ordered our JR Travel passes around noon on Thursday, had them in our mailbox on Friday. Spectacular service! Called to follow up and was assured they would be mailed the same day and received them next day (and we live in Midlands, not London)!

Highly recommend. Kaoru put together a plan for my recent trip to Japan at very short notice. Not only that she also provided advice on recommended length of stay for each city to each city and recommendation of what to do and see inc organising tours and travel tips. Super efficient and friendly too. Thank you!
