Second time coming here

Second time coming here
The first time was great, the second just reinforces how awesome this restaurant is!
Amazingly fresh food cooked to perfection right in front of your eyes.
Great service, lovely comfortable venue with reasonable prices considering what you get!

We (4 of us) went here last night for my wife's birthday. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the service was great. The food was just sensational and the Chef and waitresses simply outstanding. The bill was very fair for what we ordered and I would strongly recommend that you try this Restaurant. We will return in the future.

The best Teppanyaki place in Melbourne for sure. They have provided quality dining for nearly 25 years and being one cuwho has been a regular here for at least the last 15 years I can say that the quality has never waned. I have tried others but I keep coming back here.. IT ROCKS

The steak tenderloin was cooked to perfection, medium rare, soft and delicious. Chicken was average. Scallops some were a bit too over cooked. Portions were slightly small. Prawns were good.
The chef was friendly, atmosphere was amazing.
No tricks and throwing of food from chefs at this teppanyaki.
Made delicious Mai Tai cocktails.

Excellent. The food was well prepared I in front of you. The chef was lovely, who conversed with her guests as she prepared the meal
The staff who waited on us were very pleasant. The wine also went down very well. I will certainly be back on my next visit to Melbourne.

Virtually hidden in Collins St, just past the Town Hall, this place oozes style, the staff are stylish and the teppanyaki is to die for. We indicated we were going to the theatre so time was of the essence and everything just happened without obvious rush. Our chef was stylish without the comical drama one often sees in other places, presentation was ideal and flavours were fabulous. This is a special place for special occasions but we cannot wait to go again.

Teppanyaki is all about interacting with your customers, this place really couldn't care. They kept forgetting drinks and when asked where our drinks were, we would get attitude.
For the price that you pay for the food, you expect a lot more.
All the teppanyaki places i have been to have always done tricks and thrown food at you. We had people with us that have never been to a teppanyaki place. So we talked it up and didn't get any entertainment.
Some of the people in our group go sick also.
Would never go back to this place.

Different experience for me, Great atmosphere and a nice chat with strangers. Food is good but on the expensive side for me paying tad over 200 for 2 Ppl that's without fancy drinks. As for the staff they are really polite and quick. But the chef has the most pressure as everyone observed his movements and thats where the 1 star is lacking, sorry mate need more confidence and practice with the control of your tools since it's a show aswell.

Short and sweet review, go see this ace for yourself. You spend more than a restaurant pizza because its more than that. Staff are attentive and professional. Chef is charismatic and skilled, lets you co create parts of the meal - even once youve selected an adventure off the menu. The food menu is short and sweet and the drinks menu is generous in share bottle selection. Design of the interior was clean, sensual and easy to digest, made me want to write a review like this about it.

Had lunch in this restaurant and the experience was really awesome. The chefs prepared the food on the table in front of you and it is really nice to watch the food been served hot on to your plate directly from the cooking plate. The food is simple and tasty. The staff is kind and helpful. One thing missing was desserts in the combo package. It will really complete the meal if desserts are offered as a part of the lunch/dinner order.

This place is my favourite restaurant of all time. The most deliciously and most exciting way to dine I have ever had. I love the part where you get to see your food been cooked right there in front of you, prepared and everything by the chef! The tender loin and the sesame sauce is just to die for and watch out for that red wine, it is lethal!! No great place and I couldn't recommend a better restaurant. 11/10 for everything right across the board. Fantastic atmosphere too. Great for Christmas parties!! Book now or you might miss out!

Authentic Japanese style teppanyaki. They respect their customers by cooking and serving food in fresh and tasty manner. No throwing of food which is the traditional Japanese style. Everything is just professional and great value.

Amazing food and even better service. Loved our night here! Our chef, Arabiy, was incredible, he was so considerate of our 1 year old. He offered him fruits and played with him as he was getting restless. Would recommend to everyone.

This was my first experience at a Teppanyaki restaurant, and while the service was quite good, the food was incredibly average. I was expecting there to be a bit of a show to which the chef said nothing. But taking what expectations of theatrics we had, we finished the dinner set with some fried rice which was completely flavourless apart from the burnt garlic mixed through it, and we left quite disappointed by how bland most of the food was. It's a pretty place, but expensive for what you are getting and I don't think we will be coming back.

The food was fantastic, the chef was amazing. Catered well for my three year old daughter.

Although not as showy as some, I can definitely appreciate the draw to a less messy and more formal evening. Not having chicken spilt on my suit was a big plus.

The staff were prompt and polite, some unnecessary apologies but still very attentive and aware of their surroundings.

The massive draw on the evening was being shifted to a different table to eat dessert. I'm unsure if this was to free a table up, or to keep the ice cream away from the hot plate, either way, neither myself or my wife were a fan of the inconvenience.

The male amenities were average, floors were so sticky, but the seats were clean. A towel dispenser would not go a stray.

All in all, I would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely evening.

My partner summed it up best when he exclaimed "Loved! Every! Morsel!"

We shared the Moreton Bug course dinner, and Wagyu tenderloin course dinner. The staff, the atmosphere, and every single menu item were top notch fantastic!

Best Teppanyaki restuarant we've visited to date!

I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't because of the manager!
I believe he could have treated us better.
The food is just to die for. We had a chat with the chef who was cooking for us. He was from Japan and with very interesting stories. Definitely recommend this place.

One of the best dinner places in Melbourne! We have a lovely chat with our chef (Cong), who was just the best company, whilst eating delicious food. The food is prepped in front of you and cooked to your liking. The service was truely amazing and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at an restaurant. Just have a look at the photos for the quality of food being served here. Highly recommend for anyone curious or looking for a good feed!

From the moment you gaze at the elegant entrance down the long corridor off Collins Street in the Heart of the CBD, you just know you're in for a treat. The first thing you notice is the very attentive staff who take your coat upon entry and check it in the cloak room. This Japanese Restaurant oozes class at every turn. You could see and taste the freshness of every ingredient in every course that was served to us. The masterful chef carefully proportioned our serves so as not to give the other couple an unequal share. Coincidentally, we opted for the same set course menu, which consisted of a prawn and scallop appetizer, followed by a delicious Miso Soup. However, prior to the preparation of our entrees and mains, the chef prepared mounds of freshly shaved garlic cloves on the Teppanyaki Grill. This was purposefully done, so that he could add just the right amount of shaved grilled garlic to every course he served. We were happy, as all of us love garlic. He then started to expertly carve the tenderloin steak we ordered. There was no need to trim it, as it was lean as they come. Then came the chicken. OMG, How Scrumptious. Then there was the endless supply of accompanying dipping sauces, which made our dining experience a sheer delight. Believe it or not...researchers say that this is the proper way to consume a meal. We also had white rice to top things off. For those novices who have never eaten Teppanyaki Style before, I suggest pouring one of the savory sauces over the white rice to enhance the flavour.
Although, you would not call this a budget or even moderately priced restaurant, I still considered it to be great value for money. And lets face it folks...you can't really put a price on quality and the ultimate dining experience. Excellent for that special occasion.

This is a CBD upmarket teppanyaki restaurant with none of the showy theatrics of many. This restaurant takes its food seriously and it shows. The wine list is good and the service good. It's a little tricky to find but well worth a visit either for lunch or dinner.
