***Please do not hire this business for your event planning/competition needs. I am originally from Lexington but moved to the Louisville area recently. I have an 8 year old daughter that was involved with JAM Fest competitions, for reasons of privacy and fear of retaliation, I will not give out any specifics on exactly how and when my daughter and myself were involved with JAM.
Our experience involves a particular "executive director" named Tina Sexton. Let me say that if you have ever wondered how a middle-aged mean girl behaves, Tina Sexton would be the perfect example of that.
Tina S. is a downright nasty , hateful person. My daughter has been a victim of her cruelty more than once. I have also witnessed and heard of instances where she berated and ridiculed young girls for not being talented enough, vocal enough (?) and pretty enough. Now you tell me why a 40+ year old women would behave in such a manner at this stage in her life and towards CHILDREN at that. The simple answer: she has mentally never left high school ( and I doubt she didn't have many true friends WAY back then either).
I don't think Tina S. is very good at her job either. I have NEVER heard anyone say anything positive about that aspect and she wrote an email to me with super poor grammar skills and spelling errors.
Tina S. really has no room to ridicule, start vicious rumors (almost forgot about that one), or berate anyone seeing as her personal life is nothing to admire (her husband for one. and her poorly behave children...OMG. the worst). Tina S., as far as making fun of a CHILD'S looks, take a long, hard look in the mirror at yourself. You are by no means, "hot" or beautiful and you are just as ugly on the inside.
In a post-Sandy Hook world, why do we allow such abusive, miserable people around our children? We are failing them.
Let's put an end to this. No bullying and certainly no bullying of CHILDREN by ADULTS.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
