I don't know anything about this school to give it a rating (so a gave it 1 star) I'm browsing for someone else. You guys that had bad experience here should check out Faith Academy. It's legit. My friend graduated here 10 years ago , went to college and so on. They have online classes now. Don't forget Connection Academy and K-12 these 2 online schools are free. I have a relative that attends Connection Academy. Sorry about your bad experience. Good Luck!

James Madison has been a great experience for my son. We have had wonderful instructors through out his high school experience with the exception of two instructors. That is the only reason I have a four star instead of five. The payment plans were also a blessing. Hope this helps
This is my current high school and I love it! I have attended James Madison since my sophomore year and I am very thankful for it. I was having anxiety and other troubles at public school and this was the perfect alternative for me. I am able to move at a much faster pace than I was in school and that works amazingly for me! However, online school is not for everyone. If you enjoy/work better teaching yourself then it is definitely for you.
This is a great school and i have been flying through the programs thanks to the wonderful and helpful teachers!!!! I often have questions about the school and I very easily shoot an email or call the school during business hours and get my questions answered in a reasonable amount of time. I have had no problems with this school. Including my transfer credits from my school prior was an easy task within about 24 hours my credits were transferred and i began my journey. I would definitely recommend this online school to anyone and everyone!!!!
This is the third virtual school I have tried for my son, who is of normal intelligence, but learns more slowly. This is the ONLY one that he is able to, for the most part, complete at his own speed, and not be punished academically for it. For slow learners, I rate this program as excellent.
I highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone. I have been a student since July 2015 and I attended a public school and a Christian school before James Madison. This school is by far better than any school i have attended. The work is very understanable for anyone. If i can understand it, anyone can! The prices are affordable, and it even lets you take your tests 2 times so you can achieve a better grade. I am planning on graduating early and i am SO happy that i found James Madison!
James Madison Is A great school. I GRADUATE FROM THERE IN JUNE 2015. AND I LOVE EVERY MOMENT OF IT. ITS VERY EASY AND SIMPLE. AND THE TEACHERS ONLINE ALWAYS WAS THERE HELPING ME. I ADVISE ANYONE WHO DON'T FINISH REGULAR SCHOOL OR DROPOUT TO DO THIS. ITS A GREAT SCHOOL. AND YOU GRANTED A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED. MY BROTHER ALSO WANT TO THIS SCHOOL. HE GOT HIS GED AND NOW IS IN COLLEGE.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE James Madison! I switched over in may of 2017 from a public school to take care of my mother when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, we moved from AL to SC and the school I attended in SC was a very failing and poor school with very bad teachers. My GPA, grades and depression all got so much better! We loved James Madison so much we had my autistic brother switch over, and the school was very understanding for his needs with the same pace and help he would get at a public school, just at his own pace! I highly recommend this, its worth every penny! It doesn't cost much month to month either and I recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to public school. They are so polite we've never had any issues with any of the tutors or test not loading,
I just Graduated from JMHS, and I am really happy. I was able to graduate before I turned 17 and a year before I was supposed to graduate. All the staff that helped me and were nice and did a great job. I would recommend it for everyone . I m an entrepreneur and I dance, so this program really helped a lot, without it I wouldn t have time to make my customers happy nor dance to my full potential. So thank you James Madison.
When calling the school for enrollment info, they'll lead you to believe that there are actual instructors teaching or leading your courses. After enrolling our daughter, we discovered that THE STUDENTS ARE READING FROM THE TEXTBOOKS & TEACHING THEMSELVES the courses, with no actual teacher doing anything, except assigning what work to do. This can be especially problematic in higher level math courses. This infuriated me, as I could have saved on tuition, purchased the text myself, & taught it at home. Supposedly, they have tutors available via phone. The reasons we enrolled with this school, were because they offer an accredited diploma & allow students to move at their own pace. I did call a local state university to confirm they accepted credits from this school, & they did. The refund policy is based on what percentage of work you've turned in already, & by the time you've completed the two intro courses (Intro to high school & Health), you won't be getting much of a refund. I wish I would have known that there would not be any real teaching going on here & spent my money on a school where there was. BUYER BEWARE!
