Quiet atmosphere (we went near closing time on a Tuesday), very excellent service, and the prices are super reasonable. Sandwich was great, but the coconut cream pie was to die for! We didn't even realize that they had closed for the evening and stayed almost a half hour past their closing time. No one tried to rush us at all, they even continued to offer us coffee right up until we left. I have been there a few times, and have never left disappointed or hungry! An excellent choice if you are looking for that Mom & Pop, family owned dinor atmosphere.
Great place decent prices. Good service and good food
Very good service and great food.l would revisit there again. The employees were very polite and place was very clean.
The serves and the food is so delicious! It's a little bit of a drive. But so we'll worth it!
The food was delicious, just like homemade. Awesome service.
My wife and I were semi-regular customers. (We would go there at least twice a month). Stopped in for breakfast today and had to wait for a table. Usually, no big deal. My wife and I were the only ones waiting so didn't think it would be long. A table of four soon came in and was waiting behind us. Soon, a table opened up that would seat four but instead of my wife and I being
seated, the group that came in about 5 minutes
after us was seated. The woman told us it would only be a moment for another table. After waiting for 7 minutes and being somewhat embarrassed, we left. I guess we weren't spending as much money as the table of 4 so we weren't important. Will never go back.
This place is one of those "hidden in plain sight gems" that you really must try.
A come as you are, no frills, outstanding service, great food at bargain prices kind of down home place that are quite frankly becoming ohh so hard to come by. In this fast food, franchised, never look you in the eye world we live in, you owe it to yourself to take the short relaxing drive out to historic Waterford, Pennsylvania and experience a slice of what makes America great "Jake's on the park" is a large piece of that pie!
