Fast. Cheap. Freaking awesome. Deluxe dog and the fried pickles for less than $5 is a deal. They also have green river and plenty of other spring/summer food to be eaten outdoors.

Outstanding! The chili dog sauce is on point, the beef and cheese sandwich, wow. I will drive an hour to eat here. Great service, clean outside dining area.. in the shade. We loved it and will be back. Thank you for great food.

Man. Sauce bun with onion. No I mean 4 Sauce bun with onion.

One of the priorities when I come to Kankakee is to stop at Jaenickes. The bathroom really really need to be cleaned!

Love Wiener Wednesdays. They have the best chili cheese dogs in the area. I like them with LIGHT onion, but they ALWAYS put way too much, or basically the same as they normally put on it if you order with onion. They don't comprehend "easy on the onion". Best root beer too.

It was good! Haven't had a cheese sauce hot dog all year! Can't really beat Jaenicke's Weiner Wednesday deal!

Features All-American style food, with a focus on their hot dogs. No hamburgers are currently sold here. Drive-thru and curb side service is available with plenty of outdoor seating. Four large trees provide the perfect amount of shade covering the entire seating area. Great place to stop in on a warm summer day.

Beef served on a hot dog bun, pulled pork that tasted like it came out of a can. The only redeeming feature was that fountain drinks were pretty good. Hence the second star.

Wasn't impressed. My family loves going here, I'm wondering why. It was a very long wait through drive thru, only a few cars in front of us. It was a chilly drizzly day so hardly anyone at the counter or picnic tables. Ours hot dogs came in a box stacked on top of one another, which made a mess of the top ones papers and the bottom ones were smashed. We ordered extra sauce and each came with a 1/4 inch of grease on top. Getting out of there is crazy (I know they can't do anything about that) but we drove a few blocks when someone realized they forgot our chips. We went to the window to get the chips bcuz the line was very long for drive thru. Getting our order fixed wasn't a problem... driving there and back was, especially bcuz we didn't have to.

Yuck! Too much salt. The hot dogs were very low quality, no kosher, or Vienna all need. Root beer was extremely watered down.

The drive-thru customer service is poor. You have to repeat your order five six times for someone understand it. Even with a car off you still have to continually repeat yourself even when the facility is not busy. I suggest better train employees in the Drive-Thru. Until then you have lost my business. I should not have to repeat myself five six times to place an order. And then have your drive-thru person have a smirk on their face like they accomplished something great in irritating a customer. Maybe putting an adult in the Drive-Thru would be better instead of a high school or college kid someone with some work ethic that knows how to properly conduct themselves. I won't return until I know that there is a difference in Staffing

Good food. Chili isn't what you would expect. It is sweet like bbq sauce or sloppy joe sauce. It is good and makes the food better. The dog is like a gas station hot dog the chili and cheese definitely make it taste better. Fries are very thin like steak and shake. Bbq beef sandwich is basically a sloppy joe but good.the price is super cheap. Under $8 for what i ordered and I had trouble finishing it.

The chili cheese fries has chili sauce not actual chili. Taste mediocre.

Went here for the first time and was surprised with how good it was and affordable. Don't expect to eat inside as there is no inside dinning. You order at the window and eat at a picnic table. Worth the visit. Wish I was closer to ear there more

Ok food ...I think if they would offer all beef hotdogs it would be a whole other level. I'm sure people would pay the extra .50 to have more flavor.

Wasn't impressed,the breaded tenderloin was way over cooked. Really didn't care for the Coney sauce,or whatever it is! Or maybe it was an off day!

Good food good service except who ever was drive through working right now was pretty rude when I started she whispered under her breath in a quiet voice thinking I wouldn t hear oh my god in a rude tone for no reason

I love jaenickes but today was the last for me. Went to drive thru. Ordered 2 chili cheese dogs. The girl gives them to me with just chili so i told her i ordered cheese on them. She brings them to whoever was cooking(im assuming the owner). He told her thats how they do it tell you they ordered cheese so they can get it for free. I told him i ordered it at the intercom and that i was not trying to get it for free and that i would pay for it and i did. I also told him that was ignorant of him to say and asked if he was the owner all while he couldnt even look at me or respond. On top of that one of his employees stood next to him and i laughed. I said you think thats funny. And he said yes it is. I told them thats real nice buisness. I will never be back because of this. That is very rude. And maybe he should fix his cheap intercom and they could get an prder right.

The food is always good! My favorite is the red hot with sauce and cheese.... yummy!
