We waited for 40 mins for our takeout food because we were told that the shrimp dumplings weren't ready yet. Apparently they didn't even put our order in after we paid... we wasted 40 mins during lunch time and now we have to find a place that's open. They should have offered to give us the food for free or at least give us a partial refund and escalate our order. I can let go the fact that they were busy and accidentally didn't put our order in. BUT the fact they didn't offer compensation for our wasted time due to their mistake is not acceptable. We came all the way from Lynnwood to show support for our local businesses due to COVID but I'm just disappointed by their service.

Very busy on the weekends, go early or late to avoid the lunch crowd. Offer to sit at a shared table to be seated quicker and enjoy some conversation with your fellow dinners. Very good dim sum, family style. Worth the wait.

I have been here for dim sum, dinner, and late night food. This is the place to come for authentic Chinese food in the International District. This is the only place I go to for dim-sum. The line is out the door, but well worth the wait

SO yummy! Their dim sum is definitely worth going for. It's crazy busy on the weekends though. We got there about 5 minutes after they opened on a Saturday and we got one of the very few open tables left. When we finished and left, there were at least two dozen people waiting to be seated in the completely full restaurant. The food is super good, and probably worth the wait, but I'd go at a less busy time!

A lot of people complain about this place but I honestly love it! We arrived around 10:30 and walked right in to a table- though waiting for a table is nothing new, if you don't want to wait just eat at home. We got water and tea and our first cart within 2 minutes. The waitress who refilled our water was a little hard to flag down but she was the only one waiting on like 15 tables so it was totally fine. I also happened to offhandedly mention to my sister (who I was eating with) that I would ask the woman with the cart about dessert and within 5 minutes she politely came over and offered me some sweet selections, great service! Overall I had a great experience and delicious food, I'm planning to go up and visit again just so I can come here!

Didn't have a good service. Honey Walnut Prawns was delicious, although didn't have as much walnut as shown on the menu (This picture taken when the dish was just served). Hot and Sour Soup was a little too sour. Special STir Fried Noodles was good and a lot, although need more veggie than just bean sprout. Fried Intestine was delicious as well.

Pretty decent place for yum cha. Loved the sui mei, though the Xiao long biao was a bit dry, meat was super-sized, and the wrapper was quite thick. Still, for being in the USA, decent price for the variety of genuine Chinese dishes.

Liked how the place looked. Food was amazing as well. Service was decent. Only complaint, we had a reservation, but didn't get seated for another 30minutes after our reservation (they gave our table to another party). Lack of communication between the staff when it came to seating. Other than that, the food was really good. Will definitely give it another try.

I had no problem with the food but the service is abysmal. They don't care enough to explain what they offer properly when you ask and quite honestly they arent friendly or courteous at all. We asked for some water and they never gave it to us. We wanted to pack food to take and we had to go and find the boxes ourselves in the back of the restaurant. My advice is go there for take aways. It's not a place worth for you to sit.

I feel like this was the the good dim sum you would wait in line for when I was a kid. I didn't go here much, but the food was always on point. They remodel Ed a couple years ago and do a late night thing now. Literally might be the only place you can get dim sum after midnight and the inside is super sleek now. Used to be classic/simple with white walls and not much decoration. Now I'd totally reccomend it fur a first date of chill night out drinking in addition to Saturday morning dim sum cart service.

Racism is not fun on either side of the street.

Racism is not fun on either side of the street.
Non-Asian people are seated in the back and mostly ignored, dim sum carts with the much sought after items never make it back to "those" tables. Staff are openly friendly to tables were Asian people are seated and openly hostile to the rest.
I'd rather go hungry than come back to Jade Garden.

The two stars are because the dim sum here is really good.... The service the last two times I went, after coming here for years, is making me debate ever coming here again. My advice, go in the morning when they are still using the carts. We came in the late afternoon, they were somewhat busy but we were sat and waited 10 minutes without getting tea, water, or menus. We tried flagging down the staff but they really appeared to be making an effort to not even look our direction. Like, they were headed in our general direction and the moment I tried to make eye contact or raise my hand they would clearly see me but then act like something else caught their eye. I had to go to the front to ask the girl who sat us, who was getting dressed for a delivery, for menus. I mostly knew what we were going to order I just needed the menu to be able to point and remember the names of everything. After 20 minutes I finally got someone to take our order but he was impatient and rude about it. 5 minutes later they brought by the tea, almost half an hour with nothing to even drink. My friend wanted water as well so the whole charade for service started again and it took directly asking two people for water before they bothered to bring any. The food came out staggered, it's dim sum so that's expected. We finished our last dish and it took 15 minutes to flag someone down for the bill again. I even suggested that we just leave and if they wanted us to pay they would let us know. My friends shut down this idea and we finally got someone to get us our bill but it was another 5 minutes. I'm not one of those jerks that has never worked a day in a restaurant, I have 7 years under my belt in all positions. There were 12 tables, max, between 3 servers and two visible support staff not counting the woman at the front desk. It is not unreasonable to expect basic decent service when each server only has 4-6 tables. It isn't even like we all came at the same time. There were 3 tables sat in the first 20 minutes we were waiting for our menus and or orders to be taken and they were included in the 12 tables I estimated. There isn't an excuse. I'm definitely never coming here after noon ever again and if this is a trend I may stop coming at all.

Jade Garden ruined my relaxed saturday morning tod...

Jade Garden ruined my relaxed saturday morning today. Its manager accused us for not paying for food they served. The situation goes as follows. I was eating breakfast there. All of a sudden, one employee told me sorry from behind my chair. The other employee brought a bunch of napkin and started to rub my back. I found the serving employee spilled significant amount of sauce on my jacket at that time. There was no clear situation awareness provided to me or formal apology prior to touching my back. Then, their manager showed up per my request and he crossed out mid section of the order/serving sheet. On my way out, I explained the situation to its receptionist showing the bill. She apologized for what happened and I didn t get to pay anything. My understanding was he was not going to charge the bill due to their mistake to their customer. I had to change my schedule by the incident and it was a way of compensation for my ruined saturday morning. By the way, real frustration came from the manager s behavior and how to treat thier customer. He ran out of his restaurant to ask to pay the bill behind us walking streets. He said he meant to offer 10% discount. I told him I would pay 100% being feeling humiliated for his disrespectful behaviour and etiquette to his customer. He even stated I would pay $100 as criminal if calling police. I am still shocked for how I was treated there. I am a responsible citizen and professional healthcare provider. Mainly, it was their miscommunication over mistake they made.

Great weekend dim sum. They do all of the standard dim sum dishes really well and aren't at all greasy and they have a few unique dim sum dishes that are really great. Service is good, not too pushy but still attentive. Price of $10 will get you full and happy. Lots of seating, can have a long line but they do take reservations.

The food is lovely, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady with the dumping cart spent 30 minutes catering to two tables and chatting. She totally ignored every other table during that time!

I've been to dim sum restaurants in San Francisco and New York City. I was expecting this restaurant to be good. Very disappointing. The food was terrible. Tasted bad. Tasted and smelled fishy; not fresh. The Soup dumplings had no soup inside them. The dumpling wrappers were hard. We were rushed. The place was not clean. We sat in the front by the window. The window was filthy. The fish tank holding the Dungeness crabs had green algae growing on the tanks. I will definitely NOT return to Jade Garden.

One of the best dim sum places I've been to. All of the dishes were great, and I was pleasantly surprised how small my bill was! The food here is great value, great taste. The service is pretty fast, though wait time can be long to get a table for peak hours like Sunday brunch. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great dim sum experience.
