Lo mein was dry chicken was over cooked, rice was dry, service was terrible
One of our regular dim sum favorites for going on 20 years.
Very legitimate dim sim palace with classic foods, rumbling steam and bake carts, good mix of local, chinese and visiting guests. Broad range of items, good teas, tasty items. Lots of baked offerings, and bug tables with rotating lazy susans.
There can be wait times at key rimes if day, but the staff moves this through efficiently.
And as a pro tip, if you will sit with other people you may be able to be sat down more quickly.
Lots of near by parking. Just as good or better than nearby Harbor competition. And also nearby to pin ball museum and stores.
Terrific and fast service. Food was hot and tasty. We were also very surprised by the reasonable prices.
We called in our order, drove over total of 30 minutes. Still had to wait 20 minutes. Food was good but on Sunday be prepared to wait for a seat or pick up. Otherwise, I would have rated as 5 stars.
Delicious food, fast service, and unbelievably cheap. I ate a big meal here with 3 friends and our bill was only $45
I can say this is the best dimsum in Seattle. Authentic food and excellent taste. Try to come early if you can especially on weekends since it will be full.
Order online and say take half hr but I waited for a hr for the order
I liked it because you see the food you don't get a menu because carts were just rolling around but there was not that much food that I liked but there was food that I did like.
The wait is crazy long, but if you want good dimsum you got to do what you got to do.
The food here is soooo good. The only reason they don't get a five is because of service. Not that that is terrible. They could just check in on their tables more than just once. Love the house chow mein with soft noodle and salt and pepper squid. Great place to go late night.
$30ish will put a good spread on the table and in the belly.
This is a soild choice for consistency.
Great food, the servers don t waste any time trying to sell you food, then at 3:00pm Poof lunch is over and the atmosphere changes. Great food and experience
Definitely one of the best dim sum places in the international district. It can be extremely busy on the weekends, so expect to hang out for a little bit while waiting for a seat. However, the food is delicious!
The restaurant has the best egg rolls and din sum. The price is reasonable compare to the dim sum place in Bellevue. Week ends are very busy expect to wait.
Fresh Asian seafood in a quite fancy (as for local standards) restaurant. Good prices, wide selections of foods, pricey beer, service stuff could be more responsive.
A bit noisy but that's because the place is so popular. Great dim sum. The staff was especially considerate in helping one in our party who must eat gluten free.
This place offers the full dimsum experience, without many of the hassles you find in lesser places. Of course it's busy and crowded on weekend mornings, but seating is handled in an orderly fashion. The staff is courteous and attentive, the food is great (never greasy), and the place is well laid out so that carts get through easily and have lots of space to serve everyone. Prices are very reasonable, four adults with four little kids ate their fill of dim sum for under $60 here today.
Service was great. Very friendly. And the food was fantastic!
One of the best dim sum places in the NW- can't go wrong on ordering anything here. Worth the wait but try to avoid the crush rush times- go early or late for lunch. Super service, lovely family ownership- the real deal. Tip: sharing a table at any of the busy dim sum places in the ID is a great way to slash your wait time;meet some great folks, and get some insider tips on what to order!
Bad news. I wouldn't take my DOG here. Went today for first time (11/24/13) It was noisy, disorganized with hurried, rude waitresses who practically throw the food on the table while shouting: Dim Sum you want dim sum what kind you want?
They don't address you as individuals...they are ill-mannered, in a hurry and they just want to be done with you! If I had gone to a Japanese restaurant (like I should have) I would have enjoyed a calm, organized, civilized atmosphere where they show each person the utmost respect and appreciation. How can anyone say this is a great place to eat?? I felt like I was in a ZOO. Needless to say, I didn't leave even a penny tip!
I used to love this place alot, but today Im was so dissapointed, I will not come back. After a long waiting, we finally got the table upstair. We order 10 dishes, 4 of them are cold.. the fry and steam food .. not even warm, it is cold and dried . how y can eat chinese/fatty food cold??? .. I told them, they said they will get one new replace the cold one.. I think they knew that one been on the cart for long. But until we done.. they still haven't bring any to replace. And one of them, beef stripes overcook, completely soft.. this place been so busy, they not even care about their food, or their service any more.
There is always a wait, but it's worth it. Easy to order and food is delicious!
I always wake up early and come here for dim sum! Their food is really good. This is always a nice restaurant to go in Chinatown!
Pretty awesome dim sum for Seattle, although it's a little pricier than some.
Super yummy dim sum! They have everything you d want, and during busy times everything is super fresh! The wait is super long usually, and there are many other good dim sum places around, so don t be afraid to venture out if the wait is crazy, but if it s not then this is definitely the best place in Seattle for dim sum!
Really good food. Carts kept coming. Good selection. Chicken feet are exceptional.
Not many choices for vegetarians. I could only have broccoli and the three mushroom rolls. Don't get the three mushroom rolls.
This place is the best! Not only for food but for the genuinely wonderful family that owns it. They are dealing with such hard times right now during this pandemic and I hope that more people go here to support them. They are good people.
Food is always nice and delicious but not so much about the restaurant. When busy, the service goes hectic and less friendly. The waiter yelled at us when we politely asked him to check our order. We were quite shocked.
When I want Dim-Sum, this the place I go to most of the time. Food is great, atmosphere is welcoming, parking is tough to find since after all it is located in chinatown. When dining here make sure you tell your server you would like water otherwise you wouldnt get any until you've asked.
great place for Dim Sum. Friendly staff... they will get you what you want even if it's not on their cart. Delicious!
Great food. Open very late. Always a good place to end the night.
Excellent dim sum. Great service. Clean modern. We will be back.
Great authentic Chinese Dim Sum. Took the family and everyone had their fill at a great price. They do get busy on weekends, we had a 30 minute wait on a table, but worth it.
Poor service, restaurant was empty. Never got rice I ordered or my water refilled. General Tao was not authentic and it didn't taste good.
Reasonable price but I want more diversity on your dim-sum dishes! :))
Polite, very helpful, friendly & fun. Food was delicious
Solid dimsum at a reasonable price. Usually crowded, especially for weekends. You just have to come early or designate a scout person to put the name down.
Great taste and large portions for the price. Really good value. Had to wait a while to get served though despite there not being that many people there at the time.
Amazing place! Great staff, excellent food, only complaint is the wait time, but on weekdays that's a non issue.
The food was ok, but they need to improve their serving. This is one of the popular restaurant in China town, but they don't really care about customers because they're busy.
I love this restaurant! Great taste with reasonable price!
Good xiaolongbao and sticky rice. Not sure why it had such long lines.
Took too long to wait for seats and there is very small waiting area.
Best place for dim sum. I would recommend coming early or calling for a reservation. It gets packed!
Best restaurant I went to in Seattle! Delicious food! (Literally order anything and you won't be dissapointed!) Friendly staff! Cheap! Great location!
The food was great! I'm giving 3 stars because for dinner, the service was far and few between and we didn't get to order our food for 30 minutes into our evening. That being said, there was a huge party of at least 20 right next to us that took a lot of time. If they organized their service better, I would give 4 stars.
Good place for dim sum, the quality is good, you can feel the chinese environment in the restaurant but the service is slow.
The food is great, but service is horrible. They ignored our table and passed by few times, even if we tried to stop waiter. Probably, because we were not Chinese. Because Chinese tables around us were served.
Jade Garden is Seattle's dim sum champ. Also this is Moms favorite spot.
Freshest, tastiest, warmest, and most extensive dishes. My joints are the hai goh, shu mai, shrimp and scallop dumplings, chinese donut wrapped in how fun, shrimp and crab dumplings, dim sum size chinese brocili, bbq how fun, sticky rice in banana leaf, chicken feet, spare ribs, and any randon intriguin creation.
The joint is hella crowded and waits could be around 30-45 minutes on weekends. However is a pretty large space with seating in the back and upstairs. You will wait at Harbor city as well, so why not wait for something better. Smaller parties maybe sharing tables like NYC chinatown style. Ambiance is typical Chinese restaurant, dont expect too much.
I can only vouch for what I ordered today which was the egg foo young. Typically you get a brown gravy, and my family likes to order white rice on the side. The actual patty of egg foo young was decent however, the gravy was yellow and tasted of straight garlic and it was absolutely disgusting and the rice tasted like it was old we had crunchy pieces and it was extremely long jasmine rice which typically isn't the race you get at other Chinese restaurants. It had a funky flavor my children wouldn't eat it and I wasted $35 on highly overpriced and unedible egg foo youngI normally go to Beijing garden and they have exactly what I'm looking for but they were closed this day I hope someday I'll be able to try something else and write a much better review
Menu is very reasonably priced. Dim sum was amazing, and the Peking duck was perfect.
Staff was not the best but food was great. Not bad staffing, they just seemed preoccupied with other things so it took a while to get our orders.
The food here was pretty good, but the service was poor. So I will look for a different dim sum place in the international district.
The Best Dim Sum in Seattle, Hands Down!! The Jade Garden staff is very friendly and helpful and are quick to make great suggestions for us to try. Their food is outstanding! Such perfect flavors. The prices are so reasonable. I miss the days when my family and I could eat inside the restaurant and look forward to when we can again! Until then I will continue to order all of our favorites and bring them home to eat! Shumai, every one of their various amazing types of steamed prawn dumplings, pot stickers, honey walnut prawns, sesame balls, just to mention a few. : )
Decent enough. If you want the best dim sum and better service go across the street to Harbor City.
Very busy before a Seahawks game, so be prepared to wait. One of the better dim sum restaurants in China town, which is saying something. Smaller groups of 4 or less will be able to get in sooner on a Sunday, but worth it.
Hard to choose one, but this might be my favorite dim sum in Seattle. Never disappoints!
Great dim sum, truly terrific. Huge selection, great prices. Five stars.
Amazing, delicious, cheap dim sum. Dont order off the menu, it's more expensive and less fun than getting dim sum off the carts that go table to table. If you see something you want, point to it and the servers will add it to your table's tab. Make sure to say no if you dont want something. Easier than expected for a first time Jade Garden goer. Would totally recommend bringing friends, family, or a date here. I'll be back. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, period.
Love the steamed bbq pork buns here. They have a solid selection at a good price. Favorite dim sum in ID/Seattle. Been going here for 10+years now
