They did deliver oil when they said within the time frame. The company has been helpful when needed. I would recommend them to new people buying homes with oil furnaces. They do keep their employees safe for this time of the virus by sending out invoices or emailing to client.

Only company iv every applied multiple time to and they hire people with a third of my experience. They even hire someone whom I actually trained. Got them the liscence and taught everything.

They don t even deserve 1 star. I have been asking for a Diesel Barrel and a gas barrel for our job site for 3 weeks and every week I ask when they will be delivered they tell me at the end of the week. It s the end of the 3rd week and still no barrels. They also miss equipment constantly while they are on site to fill them. Horrible customer service!
For home delivery, stay away from this company. Not only are their prices higher than anyone else's the company is dishonest, that is if you can ever get anyone on the phone.
I have applied for at least a class b position with this company at least several times. I have 3 years class b experience and almost 1 year class a experience. Seems a little weird that they wouldn't hire a female with a spotless driving record seen as how the are always looking for employees.

I don't even want to give one star to these people. I've called for a fuel oil delivery for the last three days. The tank is completely empty. They had someone stop by and start the furnace and gave me 14-gallons. That was two days ago. No I'm told there won't be a delivery for another three days.
Don't even get me started on their furnace tune-up scams or their scam "budget plans." I'm switching to natural gas as soon as I can.
Horrible bookkeeping and ridiculously high home heating oil prices. I could write a book about their bookkeeping. It certainly doesn't meet standard business accounting. And the home heating oil prices??!?!? I just paid $2.29 a gallon for NAME BRAND heating oil. I called Jacobus and their price is $3.06 for spot market oil. I received 171.8 gallons for a savings of $132.80!!! The last two years that I was a Jacobus customer, my tank went empty twice when I was a "Keep Fill" customer. Obviously, I no longer am a Jacobus customer. Do your shopping!

I'm supposed to be on the "keep full" program. I've been for over 10 years. Today, for the second time in just over a year, the tank has run dry. Luckily It's not on a weekend and I'm not out of town. Time to look for a new supplier.

On 8/10/2020 the state of Iowa was rocked with hurricane force winds that left much of the state without power and beings that we are a health care facility we were left with nothing but our back up generators to help keep our patients and residents alive. Our regular fuel vendor was without power and was unable to assist us with a new supply of diesel fuel on 08/11/2020, and quite literally in our time of need Jacobus Energy came through for us and made us a priority. They came out with same day service and made sure that our generators had the fuel that we so desperately needed.
