When we were seriously considering a 55 and older ...

When we were seriously considering a 55 and older community we researched several and settled on Lake Hammock Village in Haines City, Florida. We had read and heard allot that Jacobsen was the best. We never even considered any other builders. We toured the Jacobsen factory and sat with the sales rep to pick out the model and finishes for our home. We were very excited until we moved in. The amount of damages and sloppy workmanship was so disappointing! There were pieces of trim and lighting fixtures missing. One bathroom sink was installed crooked. The master shower was installed crooked and had the wrong caulking around the door so water ran onto the floor when we used it. Both master closet doors were hung wrong. One kitchen cabinet hinge was broken. The valance for the vertical blinds on the patio doors was broken and held up with masking tape. There was glue all over the counters and silicone caulk all over the windows. Kitchen window blind was broken and the door from the carport, which we paid extra for, had a big dent in it and it took 2 door replacements to get it right. They left debris and empty caulking tubes on top the kitchen cabinets. Everything was filthy. No screws to hold the patio doors in place and only 1 screw for each section of the front porch railing.
On top of all that, not 1 recepticle worked on the front wall. We did our punch list for everything, however, we don't appreciate it being presented to us in that shape. Very, very sloppy work!
Sincerely, M & M Rice.

I love my new Jacobsen home that we purchased in Winward Lakes Community. When we made our punch list they sent an outstanding man named Mike who took care of our list with meticulous detail! Mike was polite, professional and competent. What a joy to have this experience.

Overall we are pleased with our new Jacobsen Manufactured home. The dealer in Lake City worked with us to get just the floorplan we wanted. They were very helpful. Jacobsen has been responsive to minor but important issues such as water leaks and electrical issues. However, there are numerous issues that prospective buyers should be aware of. The attention to detail on molding, trim, paint are not what you would expect on a home costing over $100,000. Sloppy caulking, paint & spackling leave a lot of cleanup for the home owner. Caulk/ spackling seem to be the repair item of choice for poor fitting joints and trim.

This was an excellent building company to work wit...

This was an excellent building company to work with!! Our process was difficult from the beginning as we had tried another company initially after we purchased our piece of property. It turned out after several months that they (other guys) promised a lot but could actually do none of the above. With Jacobsen, that was NOT the case. We were greeted immediately by the president of the Plant City division, Mark, and told him exactly what we needed (having been through this once already we had very specific requests right away) and he took us back to the office to discuss right then what he could do for us. He was able to find an appropriate floor plan and get us set up that afternoon to speak with a home designer to get our process started as quickly as possible. From that first day and impression, my wife and I felt like we had finally found the perfect builders for the house we wanted. Over the next several months, during our unfortunately lengthy process of achieving financing (which was no fault of Jacobsen - bank woes only), they again were always at the ready to provide any information needed to the bank or insurance agents. I don't think we needed to wait more than 72 hours for any paperwork turn around time on any requests we sent. Long story short, our original financing option fell through and again they were there to pick up the pieces offering a company that they have worked with many times to get the financing completed in a timely manner so we could finally get into construction. Once construction started, we had the house put into production in early Jan this year and moved into it in mid May. For all intensive purposes, the actual construction time was phenomenal!! While yes, there were delays and snafus - but most of them were outside of their (Jacobsen) control. The timeline fell as thus - Early Jan 2018 house put onto lines, late Jan house off lines and ready to be placed at site, mid Jan property prepped and stem wall placed, by mid feb house was set on stem wall and was ready for finishing work, by the first week in April all the finish work was completed on the house. All we were waiting on then was the final inspection to pass. Now let me also mention that during this entire course we were expecting a baby so we really wanted to have everything completed with financing and construction before baby was born. Mark knew all of this and as often as he could he pushed his guys and subs to get things done for us quicker than expected. This was over and above our expectations and we cannot say enough good things about Mark and his crew. The final OK for occupancy certificate, due to some unforseen requests from the inspector, took an extra month after all finishing to complete. Now that we have been in the house, we appreciate all the lengths they went to during the pre- and post-construction phase to get our family into a well built and beautiful home!! Thanks to Mark and his entire team!!

I had a great experience dealing with Grey's Housing Ctr in East Palatka,Fl. Bill and all his staff are very friendly and professional, and knowledgable. The time frame from time of purchase until actual move in was very reasonable and we enjoy our manufactured home very much and know that we have purchased a quality Jacobsen home.

Type HSMV 84901 and will bring u to Division of motorist services complaint affidavit and you complete, scan and email or mail to the appropriate division of the county where your home is located...We all have to do this step or they will continue to take advantage and defraud the public.

Hurricane Micheal damaged our mobile home beyond repair & we purchs new mobile home from Jacobsen Homes in Safety Harbor thru their dealer, in Jan. 19

Jacobsen Homes has been paid in full by us in Jun 19 $158,560 + we have Pd another $13,340 in damages to date to keep home from falling.
Actions of Jacobsen, dealer & installer they contract with we have not rec CO or move into our home safely. We have been defrauded, ignored & based on their actions our home is uninhabitable!

We tried many times to contact Jacobsen & rec help...Left mess for Dusty Rhodes he called back once, & offered no help. Emailed again in Sept 19 still no help. ONLY heard from them again in Feb 20 AFTER we filed complaints about how they, & dealers and installers r defrauding us.

The FL Manufacture homes inspector examined our home on Feb 20 & in addition 2 structural wall not built correctly, creating instability & the home to fall, no permit pulled, no engineered plans, that we Pd extra for.
They also found home is uninhabitable & will fall because it was ALSO not installed to FL & HUD standards, without eng. plans & no addl permits pulled 4 install. Jacobsen Dusty Rhodes, CC s Housing, Cathy Cross, and Wayne Edenfield, all who we have been paid in full in Jun 19 r responsible for home not installed safely.

Our homes int & ext hasn t been completed. Jacobsen finished part of the interior the week of 2/11/20 but now that the home was not installed correctly, there will be further damage to home creating structural concerns & if home will hold up long term.

ADDITIONALLY home sat in open field 6 mo & could not be leveled top to bottom they could only level bottom. Results, r large gaps you could see daylight thru at both ends of home & were covered up with spray foam and sheet rock. Concerned about long term damage & leaks

As we expressed to u the last time we spoke the week of Aug 19th, we have made little progress on our home installation. & as you clearly stated in our phone conversation, you don t help ur dealers with site prep even under normal circumstances, although you are the home builder & are responsible for the final set up & warranty of the home.
No matter the process you use to sell your product & install ur product we r STILL your customer. The dealers u use r a direct reflection of u & ur company! Don't u want them 2 be successful & prevent bad reviews that will impact ur reputation & future income?
As ur customer, this process has been very frustrating & has gone on too long. Our home has been sitting 6 miles away from our property since June 8, 19 & we have not received any response about many of our concerns overall condition & other site questions.

The design people were great to work with taking there time and showing us all the options. The home was delivered and was great. Then the settlement cracks started. 90 days later they came back to fix them. Great! So 1 year and 3 months after setting up the home which by the way is a 2017 the cracks are back and worse and guess what no more service didn't think I was going to spend this much money on a home that holds up a year. They are great a selling but there service sucks.

After a month of on going numerous conversations with Matt Legg and getting (2) price quotes we drove over 3 hours to do the deal and to get more off the list, we were mislead. We are in the business of construction and basically are getting a shell with no options .After leaving feeling good that we are going to do this,we got ambushed with the price that should of went down it went way up.My husband and I are so upset with this experience,we are selling the Lot now...Thanks Jacobsen for ruining our dreams.Your salesman need better training in not lying to people or misleading..We have another lot and we were going to consider putting another home on with Jacobsen....NO THANKS!

CRAP HOMES

CRAP HOMES

I called the office for information and pricing. They referred me to an agent called BILL, I called Citrus Meadow but of course the agent was not there. It is too much to get someone on the phone to find information about pricing. So I called again the next day. Bill talked around without giving me any answer and telling me he needed a specific model. I gave him the correct model number but he was not able to find the book with the prices. We got three time interrupted because the phones in his office have a problem ! Unable to find a person who could give me a price I tried to contact CEO Dennis Schrader. I goggled him and found dozens of complaint s and an article in the St Petersburg Times about the problems with his homes, about the lack of jurisdiction of governmental entities and ah !!! his campaign contributions to political candidates. Interesting,!!

Why is it that if there are problems with these homes the governmental entities refuse to act ????
In a strange way Bill saved me from purchasing a crap home .

Great Jacobsen Homes Rep and customer service.

Great Jacobsen Homes Rep and customer service.
We visited often completing walk throughs in homes of interest to us. We wanted to upgrade our double wide home with a purchase of a new home. We learned single wide homes provide more privacy as bedrooms are placed on opposite sides of the home. Jacobsen made it easy to list our expectations in our new home with prices of high quality add one. Our Salesman offered us an Excellent opportunity. The difficulty became looking for a mobile home park we d enjoy spending our future.

Have had to board my dogs at $200 per week and find another place to live because MY HOME IS NOT DONE!!! I am getting the run around and lied to weekly by construction project manager at Burns Construction, their finishers. Ever try finding a place to rent in Florida in January? It can't be done! Taylor Made Homes is not the place to go! They took my money and left me homeless!

I am generous giving them 2 stars!!! This is pure BS.

This has been the Halls family experience with Jac...

This has been the Halls family experience with Jacobson and Yulee Custom homes over the past 3 years. Buyer beware!

* Promised it would be a 4 month process and it took over a year from start to finish.
* Had to live elsewhere with no lease and drained our savings to do so.
* Promised every month that this would be the month, and lied every time.
* 55 items wrong when home was delivered from bowing floors, leaks, doors that you cant open or close, electrical, and cabinetry from major to cosmetic. Even live wires shoved up in the wall.
* They tired to increase the cost of the house $14,000 after contract was signed.
* It's a hassle to get people on the phone or to call you back when needed.
* No shows many many times, even when we took off form work to meet.
* Have to call over and over to get an appointment with Jacobson to fix anything.
* Still have unlevel floors when 3 different people came from the company and said it was an issue but when said people got together all of sudden its was within allowance. Had 3 independent companies come out to check floors and all said they were very unlevel and needed to be fixed.
* Failed inspection 7 times with city.
* Workers on property removed our memory cards from cameras when working then preceded to tell us they lost them.
* Still fixing home ourselves like light switches, molding etc etc etc.
* Still needing floors and ceiling fixed they refuse to do so now.
* Stove had to be fixed twice and refrigerator had to be fixed 5 times.
* I don't believe there is anything in our house that is plum or level.

The following is a list of issues that new homebuyers may not think about that we encountered first hand.
* They have very poor paint, cabinetry and appliances.
* Closet shelves not screwed to studs will fall off walls.
* White cabinets for us peeled and bubbled because they are not painted wood they are coated particle board. Had to replace almost all of them.
* If you get a large pantry there is not an A/C vent, so food items will melt.
* No vents in our closets.
* Farmhouse sink is not ceramic its plastic and will peel over time.

This is just the tip of the issues we have had, couldn't post everything too many to list. We do have proof of everything and pictures. This has been the worst experience of our lives and we have had many homes built and this has been by far the worst. This was to be our retirement home but it has drained most of our savings. This even put my wife in the hospital because of stress and heart issues.
Good luck to anyone wanting to buy from this company.

The quality of the home I bought here is junk. Walls were not right, ceiling has several different textures from the factory. Yes they fixed a few issues from factory but the remaining items they have just left. There answer to fixing the marriage line of the home was just add more drywall mud. Looks horrifying now. Owners came out and just played it of as someone else's problem. They have done the same to friends in the area. Total of seven homes in the same area at the same time.

July 30, 2020
Update after 18 months after moving in. I write this not for Jacobsen on the manufactured industry but those who are considering having a home by purchasing through the industry. Structure construction is HUD guided so it it up to quality standards and can meet the demands of high winds.

However sellers like Jacobsen uses cheap inferior products for interior bought in bulk such as carpet, vinyl, door window trim all which buyer would be better off purchasing an unfinished model then hiring a trusted contractor or buyer do it themselves as we did.

Since moving in we have added front and rear porches, installed a carport for Florida's hot sun and have been purchasing and installing interior trim, carpet and tile from Lowes and home Depot. These things can be an investment if the home is on a solid foundation.

We wish we had deleted all of the interior. Purchased the house and had it placed on a FOUNDATION. We could have saved money instead of paying for the cheap materials Jacobsen uses.

Examples: Carpets after 18 months show wear for only two people living here.Trim is cheap pressed wood that swells. Door frames out of line & are piece work. See Photos of LOWES doors as example. Vinyl was pieced together rather than one piece. We are replacing with wood floors.

These are our experience of the Jacobsen home sales that can be beneficial but finished by buyer when on a foundation as REAL property instead of a Mobil double-wide loosing equity. I wrote this for buyers & hope it helps for your investment & resale. Also update for Google Home, Cable & electronics.

========================================================
July 15 2019
We wanted what we thought was a modular set upon a foundation as an investment which took us over 18 months to get. 30 days before delivery of the home we received an email telling us Brevard county required us to add plants trees more dirt and several other items so we were forced to borrow another $10,00 to complete that.

What really bothered us about the whole purchase deal is when the home was delivered instead of using a crane as most dealers do & can be viewed on YouTube to set it on the foundation, they used two TRANS-LIFTS which they use for their steel frame mobile homes.

This home had no frame and used 10 inch floor joists because it is set on a concrete foundation. In attempting to use the TRANS-LIFTS ( see Photo in foundation) they twisted the whole house blowing the sheet rock off the walls and rupturing pipes. Two walls were completely moved out of place severally. They used cross beam pipes laid on the lifts which slipped out of place and came up through the floor in one room.

The house was severally distorted from lifting it wrong instead of using a crane to set it properly. Nothing was really finished at factory. They sent in amateurs to plaster and repair the damages, paint and fix the cracks created by using the TRANS-LIFTS. We were furious about the way they man handled our home. It took repeated returns on same cobbled work to do the repairs over the next 45 days before we could move in.

Would we do it again? No! We would not buy from Jacobsen again. They were nice people and they did work to over come many of the conflicts we encountered, but very unhappy with the subcontractors they used to do a professional job on our dream modular investment home. We tried to get a local contractor first to build a block home, but they were all backlogged before so we decided on a factory home.

We looked at a lot of modular, double wide homes, but we believe now Jacobsen was the wrong dealer to provide us a modular home set on a solid foundation, completed and ready to move in. If you want just a cheap trailer then they may be OK, but not for investment of a $220,000 for a completed home done right the first time. We love our home now but it took a lot more to correct Jacobsens problems and subcontractors amateur work. Conclusion: Modular home on a foundation can be really nice but take care to get it all in writing and demand professional work.

Mold. MOLD. MOLD! We purchased a home in October 2...

Mold. MOLD. MOLD! We purchased a home in October 2018. The home was finished in April 2019. I am now begging Jacobson to finish my home. We thought laying carpet, putting our appliances in place and painting the interior would only take 2 weeks. We thought they would send in a crew and take care of our family. We went into our home and saw mold and demanded they remove it before finishing the home. They did take a week to clear the mold. We will see in the future if that was successful. Our family moved from our extended lease apartment (we signed a 7 month lease thinking it would finish quickly unlike a stick built home...WRONG). We moved our family of five from our apartment Dec. 19, 2019 and lived with family thinking our home was almost completed. We have to send daily emails asking for updates. They ignore our home for entire week long periods with no correspondence. They promised to get it right after the mold, but the finishing crew is jo were in sight. A uninstalled toilet sits in the middle of my master bedroom. A lone pile of dirt now has grass growing on it in my front lawn. No apology. No sorry we are getting to work on it. Not sure of the quality of the Jacobson home because my interior remains unpainted and the crown molding is molded and falling from the walls.
February 10, 2020 to February 16, 2020 no one has set foot on my property and our family with five children has been homeless for almost 2 months now. We visit the home and cry.
Update: They have given us hope we may be finished by the end of February 2020. Interior walls are painted, appliances pushed in place, door installed (many won't close so I hope that will be adjusted), and toilet still in the middle of my master bedroom.
Crown molding needs to be finished, carpeting needs to be installed, and home throughly cleaned before move in. We will see if Jacobsen can deliver as promised.
Update: March 2, 2020 Thankfully it was leap year as Feb. 29th the supervisor David did an excellent job finishing. The crown molding looks like it should and was well caulked. We still have few minor repairs. I did have to check up on the home several times to make sure progress was happening.
Our attic hole is gapping open and they promise to fix within a 2 week period. It fell from the ceiling. Any advice? Wait a few weeks to really look around the house before filing 30 day...just don't wait to long. There tech did a great job on repairs.

Our experience with Jacobsen Homes has been wonderful from the moment we first visited one of their show rooms. Quality manufacturer of new single, double or triple wide homes. Beautifully done with many looks and feels to suit all tastes and styles. They offer so many features in their base model as well as dozens of excellent upgrades if desired. Sales staff have been caring, knowledgeable and professional. Our home will be built by end of 2020. Can't wait.

Their showroom is excellent if you are on the market and the staff are incredibly helpful. There are a lot of options to look at in their model homes and you can really get a feel for how things will look when paired together. There were six models onsite when we went, covering a variety of sizes from 2-4 bedrooms. They will customize anything to meet your needs. They can also help set you up with a dealer to get you started on your way to custom home ownership.

I had two eyebrow windows that I thought the seals were broken. I called Jacobson and the customer service people were very helpful and courteous. It was a pleasure to work with them. They contacted the service department and we set up a time convenient for me. When they came out it was determined that the seals were not broken but just residue from the fascia board and siding. Needless to say I was very embarrassed. The gentlemen were very gracious and even washed all six of the windows for me and didn't charge me anything. I have always had very good service from Jacobson and would recommend there quality homes and excellent service to anyone.

We recently purchased a home from Jacobsen we were supposed to be moved in before Christmas and here it is March and my family of six and I can't completely move in because of how much poor construction has been done. As a family company Jacobsen should be ashamed of the quality of my home. When speaking to my dealer they tell me they hear it all the time and since I've sent in my 90 day warranty papers we are now on a 5 to 6 week wait list. My flooring in a room is completely coming up, all most all of my base boards are uneven, all my windows need to be sealed, my closets need to be sealed, my kitchen bar is not finished, they used rusted brackets to hold the bar to the counter, the paint they used ( having four kids) is poor and leaves smudges, all of my crown molding is separating, both my screen doors were left unfinished and one still boarded, my added cost of gutter are of the poorest quality not being installed properly, all three sets of steps are literally cracking because they were installed and uninstalled and thrown by a worker, my list goes on. My family and I have been waiting so long and thought we chose a good quality home builder we were wrong and are highly unsatisfied. We would NOT RECOMMEND Jacobsen Homes or their contractors Burns. Our home speaks for it self.

Horrible service, The houses dry wall look so bad. They say that there is a 90 day warranty on the dry wall but they are in no rush to fix my home. I have emailed them and called them so many times but they keep giving me the run around. The crown moulding looks like it is about to fall off the ceiling around the whole house, the ceiling has a big crack in it, and the walls have spots that are painted poorly. If you are looking to buy a modular home from Jacobsen Homes I strongly advise you to look elsewhere, they are that bad. Poorly built and they do not seem to care.

@ Renee Granlund - I am sorry you still feel you were mislead, however your original request of the home plus a couple of options you wanted did in fact hit your budget. From there, you added a significant amount of options to your "shell" and BOTH of the price quotes you received via email weeks before coming to see us detailed those options you added with a concise total on them. By no means did you get ambushed by this total. I wish you luck in your home search.

I wrote this email to them days ago and have no response. This is a really horrible company to do business with.
Dear Dusty and John:

It is hard for me to clearly put my disappointment in writing. If my husband and I were not leaving for an important family surgery on Sunday we would be parking ourselves in your offices until we got a satisfactory answer as to when our home would be delivered.

We have called, emailed and talked to Marty in person too many times to count. It clearly seems as if his hands are tied. I have said to him as a business owner I have NEVER not responded with a timeline for a delivered product to ANY client over my 45 years in business. It seems though, that is what Jacobsen Homes does. You take peoples dreams and sell them their dream home. What you neglect to tell them is that you will not deliver when you say you will and you will not communicate effectively if plans change.

I ran a very successful film production company for most of my life and I always knew where each job was in our production line up. We were prepping jobs, while finishing others and than would go into full production mode while shooting. If we ever treated clients as your company has treated us we would have been out of business. Instead we thrived and were among the most successful in the U.S.

I am grateful that Americana Cove finally had the foresight to allow other builders to come in to build homes. I rue the day that we walked in and signed our contract 9 months ago and had only two choices to get a home built. We really thought we were picking the best of the best when we decided to go with Jacobsen. Marty was a great salesman and incredibly helpful in the early stages of planning. Sue who works for you, was incredibly patient and knowledgeable about your homes and helped immensely in the design process. We had NO idea that the whole thing would fall apart in production and delivery.

If I ran your company I would not be able to sleep at night without finding a solution. I would either put on more shifts or I would stop taking orders until I could deliver homes in a timely manner. Sadly, I don t run your company and I can only sit here on the sidelines and hope against all reasonable hope that we might have a home in the months to come.

Meanwhile we pay an exorbitant amount each month for rent, furniture is in storage here and in Chicago, all clothes are in Chicago and we continue to buy double of everything because never in our wildest dreams did we think we were going to be in temporary housing as long as we have.

We have a boat at Americana Cove now behind the office. We have our dock by the lot going in the first week in June. We have joined the boat club and are beginning to make friends. Everyone has asked us too many times to count when will you have your house? When we answer, We have no idea, their jaws drop open and then slowly but surely the war stories of dealing with your company come out.

I sat on the board of a pretty large condo building in Chicago and hopefully will run for the board once we are settled at Americana Cove. What would you have me tell people who ask what the choice should be to build their homes?

Respectfully,
Rosemary Ferreri

Me, Parents and their Bishop&Wife went with us to look. Super nice lady helped us . Ended up at our local Bradenton Jacobson Homes Sales Office. Started a little sluggish but finally got on same page. Sadly like regular built homes the market is booming and can t afford any at this time. But definitely keeping this builder in the running .

Signed with a rep for these people in August 2014 ...

Signed with a rep for these people in August 2014 and apparently they never bothered to find out if they could put a home on our property, so the original mobile home had to be cancelled and now have to go modular (more money) and here we are in November and they think MAYBE we will have a house in March or April. They were quick to take my money. Still don't have a house.
I can't recommend them at this point.

2/23/16: UPDATE:
House still is not finished. Joy Miller from Budget Homes who was supposed to be handling everything for us is not taking responsibility for any of the things not right with house:
Door frames not attached well.
Faucets not on tub have 1/2" gap between them and tile
Siding is mismatched BADLY and FALLING OFF!!!
No dishwasher spot (electric or water or spot for it that was supposed to be DW ready)
Screens not sealed properly (screens coming out of frames)
and much more....
pictures available.

This has been a fiasco from start to finish and I wish we had gone with ANYONE else to build our home.

Ask ten people what their experiences at a particular place of business was and you will get 10 separate answers. Some good and some bad. Whether we choose to be happy or miserable is really up the individual. We are all ultimately responsible for our own state of being. Unless someone tries to do harm to me I don't let people or events bother me.

Google, Facebook, Twitter and the like have provided the perfect platform for us to vent our good experiences in life but unfortunately its the negative perceptions that motivate us to seek out a platform on which to vent.

Any business that has been in operation as long as Jacobsen's has been, (since the 50's!) , will occasionally have an unsatisfied customer with unrealistic expectations . Building a new home of any type takes thousands of steps and uses thousands of People at every step of the way. People make mistakes sometimes too.

Life gets in the way also. And while the the Owner and ALL the other folks at Jacobsen Homes make every effort to provide a quality product and the best service- sometimes Life Just Happens.

Off to a bad start. Purchased in cash 2/2 in January was not delivered till June and handed over till July. On first glance it looked ok, besides colors were wrong and cabinets need work. After several walkthroughs many many issues keep appearing. One major issue being no 16"oc 2x6 roof framing as I was sold. Instead they use 1.5 x 1.5 lumber for trusses and gable ends have 1 2x3 turned on its side in the middle of fascia board 14' long.. vinyl siding has enormous gaps around every window and door. It's called a vapor barrier not a river barrier. The interior doors are all 2+ inches short of floor because they cut them for carpet which I do not have and it was in original contract that I was getting vinyl. Shower leaks severely toilet flanges are not fastened to floor, texture falling of ceiling and trim is jacked up banged up and caulked here but not there.. Its a nightmare. I will be contacting BBB consumer protection, code enforcement, Dept of highway safety, and every other regulatory agency including HUD as well as several Attorneys who handle lawsuits for large corporations who blatantly defraud the consumer. Their Service Tech is scheduled for today let's see how much of this turf he can polish for this garbage company
Update: Jacobsen has Defaulted on the warranty and contract obligations.. The level of b.s. this company is shoveling is ridiculous. To Managment: you ready to deal with a financially comfortable individual with the tenacious ability and brains to bring a long and costly legal sh#t storm to your doorstep? To start things off, you are hearby publicly notified as follows.
Any consent Jacobsen Homes believes they possess from myself is revoked immediately. Any contract agreement either verbal or by signature that Jacobsen or its affiliates may have is now void, as it was made under severe duress due to unethical and illegal business practice. Addendums and hidden information has been made without my knowledge or consent. Several required signatures during setup were not signed by me, and erroneously provided by unlicensed contractors. HUD will be notified. Jacobsen Homes has officially been notified in a public forum as required by law .

Im not going anywhere I will continue to spread th...

Im not going anywhere I will continue to spread the word about this company in any way possible! We have given you way to long to make things right and the same with Sean Levy of Marvelous Modulars a joke of a name theres certainly nothing marvelous about the way he does his job! Hes the contractor that Northpoint Homes hired to deliver and set our home he must have been really dirt cheap because doesnt have a clue of how to set up a modular correctly infact he didnt put our house in the right place so he had to put the garage in the wrong place and messed the whole look of our plans up and the end of the house that shows looks like noahs ark because of that mess up and because Jacobsen forgot to put the second dormer on. So everything looks off! Sean Levy is out of Auburndale Florida for people who want to know. But Im sure my review wont stay up long but you can find a longer one on Northport anything goes Jacobsen doesnt run that Admins life! We put a large dposit down on our home it was every extra dime we had and it was a gift from my husbands brother he left him when he died . We were in shock because we would never thought Joe had that kind of that kind of money. He lived very frugally now we know why he lived that way was to save money to leave to his family. My husband his brother fell 92 ft in 1988 he was a steel worker and it forever changed our lifes and Joe my husbands brother knrw how hard living in Vermont in the winter was for his brother being in a wheelchair. We would come to Florida for years as snow birds but then the vacation rentals rent kept creeping up and it was hard to find a place to work for my husbands wheelchair so we kept talking about we wished we could buy a home here. We knew the mortgage would be cheaper then renting. Well Joe never let on but he heard his brothers wishes. Joe had been in and out of remission with cancer for yrars and sadly it took his life 3 yrs ago. Imagine the shock we had when we were called to a meeting and told my husband had been left this money from his brother to fullfill his dream of owning his own home in Florida! I cried for days with such sadness he was gone but also for the fact that we never had the chance to know whatvhe had done and to thank him from the bottom of our hearts. Im not sharing this for sympathy Im sharing it for the significance of what this house was goung to mean to my husbad especially and to me. It was supposed to be our dream home and Joe wanted to be a part of that and he is. But if he were to know his brother almost died of sepsis last September and what we were going through with this house at the same time would have crushed him. He wanted it to be a dream come true! An exciting time in his brothers life after all the bad he had been through. I am so glad that Joe does not know what happened to his beautiful gift and the hell we have been through purchasing and moving into this place He built his own beautiful home and he would be beyond disgusted with the workmanship! But most of all he would be so very sad his gift turned into a nightmare instead of the dream come true he wanted it to be for his brother.
To Jacobsen I did not share this beautiful family experience in hopes it would make you better people. I know thats impossible I shared it for those who do care and if the future buyers or their loved ones or friends that are thinking of purchasing my prayer is that they will head my warning! I also have protection for seniors Im working on and protection for people with disabilities as well as the better buisness bureau. I dont think their afraid of you like some admins or friends I should say. I would also like to see see the 5 star reviews proof of verified buyers!

My husband and I are so happy with the Jacobsen Design Center in Safety Harbor. After making the appointment a week ago, my husband told me how he already felt good about the company from talking to the nice lady, Helen, who answered the phone. Then, today we had an absolutely excellent experience with Grace who took time to go through our option sheet with us to make sure we had all of the colors, counter tops, tile backsplashes, paint colors, exterior siding, shingles and options that worked for us. We really can't say enough nice things about Grace. She was extremely professional, courteous and helpful. She helped us think through the floor plan we had agreed on with the dealer we were working with. She was able to answer some questions which he wasn't clear on such as the differences between the appliance packages. She also helped us see several places we could save some money by putting in or taking out various options. The whole office staff was very nice and brought us water and coffee several times. If the entire home buying experience with Jacobsen is as pleasant as today was, we will be two very satisfied customers.

TERRIBLE HOME! We bought a modular home from them and had it delivered a year ago. They took shortcuts on the workmanship throughout the entire house, from roof to foundation! The metal flashing on the roof was crimped, the shingles were not straight, the roofing nails were popping off because they used the cheap nails with no ridges, we had to hire a roofer to fix the shingles and re-do a large portion of the roof. There was mold coming through the back door within the first year because they did not seal it right, the AC unit they put in was too small for our square footage and now the back bedrooms are like ovens during the warmer months. We could go on and on. There were many problems that took them months to come out and fix, after multiple calls on the matters, and some of the problems they promised to fix and then backed out of. You have been warned!

My wife and I retired last year and we decided to purchase a mobile home to be installed in Melbourne Beach, Florida. During the planning process, we heard horror stories about dealers etc.... We initially came to realize that trying to get answers to our questions was almost impossible. Call backs didn't happen and when they did it was far from what we expected. In simple terms they didn't care.
Then one day, we googled and found Tim Wright.
We had no idea who he was but from the first phone call, we knew he was exactly what we we're looking for. Tim answered all of our questions and his communication skills are excellent. Our home is now installed and we couldn't be happier. Tim is compassionate, hard working and supportive. So don't hesitate to contact him. You will be very happy you did. Thank you Tim.
