Jacksonville Marriott Review

I will be staying here more often. Great professional and friendly staff. The rooms are cleaned and sanitary. Great restaurant and bar on-site

The room was clean and the furnishings were modern and comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great relaxing stay.

Preface: I cannot wear a mask, not because I don't want to, but because I have panic attacks when I try to. This being said, I delivery drive and most places are very accommodating, whether it's a restraunt that asks me to wait outside or a hotel that asks to take the food to the customer instead.

This was not the case here. I was delivering food to a customer (as the customer instructed) and the employee behind the desk yelled across the room multiple times to wear a mask. Save by the elevator, I delivered the food to the customer (left at their door, contactless as requested and they were happy). I then come down stairs to leave. As I step out of the elevator, the same employee was now out from behind the desk waiting for me, then stopped me. I let him know that medically, I cannot wear a mask. (Since my anxiety isn't generally something I care to talk about). He then tells me that I should find someone else to deliver there. I find it incredibly disrespectful that he had the audacity to say such a thing while he was the only one inside that building that came within 6ft of me (social distancing). I can't believe someone would discriminate based on an inability due to health. I hope he doesn't treat the customers this way.

We have had several guests stay at this location and this past Sunday (Mother's Day) had all 10 of us enjoy the outdoor pool. First this location was recently renovated and it shows. Everything is clean and modern at this full service Marriott. The only negative is the Restaurant and Bar are closed from 12 noon till 4pm but can understand as this is mainly a business stay location and perhaps in the future with more casual guests they may rethink this policy as we had to bring food in...a loss of income for this great location. Overall if you're staying in Jacksonville this should be a location you consider.

Stayed at this property for work and conference. It was at the end of a comprehensive remodel. The gym was AWESOME. The people working there were great about making it comfortable with the lobby under construction. I had stayed there 2 years ago. I like the changes. I recommend this property.

Consistently clean and well cared for property. Need to address lighting in guest rooms, however. The dimness makes it difficult to get dressed and do makeup after dark.

Hotels are hotels generally speaking as will most places the ppl that work in the business are what make the difference. This place has really nice helpful ppl that want to make sure you are having the best experience you can. The hotel has nice conference rooms that were full when I was there. I checked with the staff and they said the hotel is busy during event times in Jacksonville so book early if you are come for a concert or game. Also Christmas can be a busy time. They do catering for small to very large event and can provide for all of your need. The workout room was clean but a little small and setup for aerobic workouts. The pool area outside was really beautiful and the inside pool was nice too. The restaurant had great food. Overall a pleasant experience. They were in the middle of a renovation and you couldn't wven tell. They kept the place so clean. My only complaint was the TV in the room was old tech and it has stick stuff on the screen but if you weren't a clean freak like me you wouldn't have noticed.

Very clean and modern. Shower was amazing, great water pressure always hot in seconds.

It is the only true Marriott in Jacksonville. Maintenance is lacking in the rooms. However they are clean and nicely decorated. Maybe one day the will open up all of their normal services and then they could reach 5 stars. Pay full and get less. Staff is professional.

Large contemporary hotel with grand foyer, bar and restaurant. 9 floors my room had been updated with large shower. As a gold elite member was given access to the executive lounge which had hand carved roasted meats in the evening. Great outdoor pool and smaller indoor pool, pool towels and fitness center.. no crowds. Small gift shop. Room service. Concierge. Self parking free. Great stay.
