Best place for all level of players, I started playing here when I was shooting over 100 and still shooting consistently mid 80s. Great practice facilities with a brand new and awesome golf range. And don't forget the party 3 course great for family and kids, and also well maintained for a pat 3 course.

And I know people like to golf but it is so awesome in the winter it's so cool to slide down there once the stuff's all the snow is so cool I've snow I've slaved there since I was 10 and I'm 45 now.

Who likes drinking a beer at the driving range?? I know I do, so I always opt for the bucket and beer! The price is less than other local driving ranges and they throw in a draft brewski...SOLD!! Facilities are top notch! Thursday nights is 80s rock night so expect to be practicing with the awesome sounds of guns and roses, Eddie money, Aerosmith, etc.! Upper level always seems to be empty- kid friendly!! Love it here!!

Get there early before the ball machine breaks or else you won t be able to hit balls. Don t get a range card because then they won t reimburse for wasting your time. I m here over 3x a week and the ball machine is an issue 50% of the time. Starting to think I ll take my 50 bucks a week to Puetz

Jackson has a new greenskeeper and their staff is very excited about all the new enhancements. Don't let the yardage fool you as this is a tricky and challenging track. Hence the slow play at times.

What a fun little course! Very under-rated. Just don't play after a lot of rainy days. But overall, it holds up very nicely. I can't believe no one has recommended this golf course to me earlier!! It's a very fun course and not something you expect out of a muni. Had a blast and everyone there was great. Definitely a 5 star experience! Will be coming back... in the spring and summer haha.

It's not a destination clubhouse, but it's not "run down". It's clean and in a 1930's building, very vintage. Besides, are you looking to golf or hang out in the pro shop? The driving range is brand new, and the course improvements of the past few years have dramatically enhanced the play. For the price, length, and proximity for city dwellers, it's a great option.

The perimeter trail is fairly well maintained, but watch out for flooding after heavy rains. There are about three active or abandoned homeless camps near the trail.

It's my current favorite running trail, primarily due to the proximity to my house. Good hills and no ankle-breaking holes or roots.

The city should get it together and reinvest some money to improve the grounds. They have a wonderful property but even in a boom time like this refuse to see these hidden gems. I don't blame the folks trying it's mainly the city that doesn't care and would rather make them homeless camps.

It may not be the best course in the city (check out the West Seattle Golf Course for that distinction) but Jackson hole is certain second best. This course was renovated a few years back for added improvements on the first nine holes. So if you haven't been out to Jackson in while, give it a try, and see what you think about the changes. A side bonus is the short nine at Jackson, which is perfect for beginners just getting a feel for the game. The one caveat - be ready to have some ear plugs on hand forthe front-nine when you face all that noise from bordering Interstate - 5.

Walking Trail Review: I've been walking this since before it officially opened and my excitement in a neighborhood walking trail is turning to disgust with the number of homeless camps along the way. Trees are being damaged, garbage is being strewn and I no longer feel safe to walk parts of the the trail. I know the problem is complex, but a couple of tents tucked into the trees have become half a dozen encampments damaging the environment.

I've been here several times to play; it's not the closest to me so I don't get here too often. The first time was in the dead of summer and I must say the grass burns out (given amount of play and heat) and makes for a very tough course to play. You can hit a perfect fairway shot, and if there's even a minor slope it'll go bouncing off into the "rough". Recently I played again, in the winter, and even with frosty conditions the course played much better (albeit somewhat soggy on the back 9). For a muni course, it's a pretty interesting one, and the holes definitely are more interesting than the back and forth corridors at Jefferson, for example. Expect play to be slow, and on a weekend, likely a 5 hour round due to slow play and lack of a ranger policing it. But for the cost, it ain't bad.

Jackson Park does the best they can with the incredibly limited resources available to them. The new(ish) range is nice, the balls are in good shape and prices for buckets are fair. All of the staff, pro shop, range, and restaurant are helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a good selection of libations and snacks, and a TV. The 9 hole executive course is deceptively challenging, fun for the kids, but in pretty rough shape with shaggy, weed-dappled greens.

Unfortunately, due to the accessible price point and lack of other public options nearby, Jackson draws "golfers" who have no respect for the course, the game, or other golfers. Pace of play is often miserably slow. There's no sand available to fill divots so the fairways and, even worse, the tee boxes are a disaster. It seems few people playing this course are familiar with a green repair tool or how to use it. The poor course gets beat up because some "golfers" simply don't care. Yeah, I'm looking at you, four guys who broke covid rules and created a foursome with four carts, got drunk on the illegal booze you smuggled in, played like complete idiots, backed up 5 twosomes behind you, and all shook hands at the end of the round. Please never golf again.

It's sad to see the course abused but I'll keep playing here and fixing 5+ ball marks on every green. Please endeavor to do the same so we can all enjoy this public park.

my high school team plays her for all its matches and I liked playing it every time. The driving range is a great addition to the course. unlike the UW driving range, the lefties don't have to worry about hitting a heater above them.

I personally have not used this golf course myself but you know others that have used it and they like it because they go back to it! I am not much of a golfer myself do I care for it but I would recommend this place because of other people that I know that I've been here and they do too!

Very run down clubhouse, parking lot, restaurant, etc. Newer driving range building (have not used). I take my kids here for the par 3, which is about what you would expect. It is in average shape and could use some TLC around the greens and tee boxes.

Full course is also what you would expect from a municipal course.

Staff is always nice.

If you aren't too pretentious, you can have a good time here.

Tough track for a muni. Get's backed up quickly and often. Good folks in the clubhouse. Generally looking at a five hour round, sometimes 5.5 hrs. Par 3 gets busy and sometimes in poor shape. Recently built driving range with an upper deck. Never seems to get that busy, but I typically go to Interbay or Jefferson.
Once saw a guy toe a ball that bounced off a tee box marker and flew 40 yards to the back tee box. I will always remember that.

I went here for the first time the other week, and learned a life lesson. Don't ever walk a course you have never played on the first time you play it. This course has some interesting holes, but is BRUTAL to walk. Was a big mistake. Also, I felt it was a little expensive for the experience, but some people may feel it's fair. Nice staff.
