Nice family park. Walking path. Gazebo. Brook with ducks. Pavilions. Nice playground. Bathrooms need better up keep tho. But for our villiages' size its good.
This park has a nice open area to play anything with ur kids or family gatherings. There are 3 parks in this same place to choose from for kids big and small to play on
Very hit and miss, not recommended after rain it becomes a mud pit slip n slide. However it is a very nice playground, many different activities for kids just keep an eye out for trash we found a syringe one time and multiple dime baggies everytime we've gone (don't let your little ones pick up things on the ground is my best advice)
Its a gem! Love the variety of trees and the creek ! It's a mini-central park for our village!
I always love this park it's always clean and well-maintained. I'm a bit of a nerd so I go bird watching lol it's just a very nice and peaceful Park.
So peaceful and calm. Great place to just take a walk
Perkins Park is a gem, located at the end of Washington Street, off South Main Street in Newark. The property, once part of the Jackson & Perkins Rose company, was set off in 1926 and donated to the village.
Over the years families have enjoyed the park for picnics, ball playing, walking, and observing wild life. There is a playground staffed by the village. Military Brook meanders through the park.
Perkins Elementary School' also situated on land donated by the Perkins family is located at the south end of the park.
Fun park with wide open spaces, covered pavilions, and a large playground with multiple slides, climbing equipment, and swings. Will definitely visit again.
Pretty place to walk or hang out with your kids or walk your dog, but people need to pick up after their dogs. Disappointing to see so much dog waste when walking in this park.
Very nice smaller park... Except the bees at the sitting area were soooo crazy....
A small playground, some pavilions, a nice little creek that often has ducks. Also a nice little track to take a short walk.
Great Family Gathering Spot. Nice play area for children, & nice pavilions for picnics.
Plenty of space .You can a quiet space if you wish.
This place holds up traffic lol I completely understand that I'm only saying it for the people who live nearby but yeah take precautions
Kids love this place. Its wide open and has a nice stream spliting two nice sized parks . Benchs and tables available bathrooms too!!!! A little slice of heaven in the middle of town!!!
Great place to relax. Family friendly, and peaceful.
Love walking this little park with my best Friend!!
Very nice place to go for a walk, a run, sit by the stream and relax or let the children play on the 2 parks. You can have a party at one of the 4 pavilion's. 2 ball fields for a great game.
People drinking at children's party's doing drugs less than 10 feet from. The playground this place is a joke
Cool park. Good playground. Freshly painted picnic tables. And a river runs through it (stream).
While the park does have clean and unlocked bathrooms (during hours of operation), two toddler swings and a plentitude of regular swings as well as equipment for all ages, it appears to have not been maintained in years. From the old wood chips to dirty equipment to broken parts (that in some cases are a danger hazard), it's really in desperate need of attention. I hope that the community can come together to give it a basic, inexpensive face-lift that may take all but a day's work and some elbow grease.
Beautiful park and a loop to walk around in for staying fit.
It's been awhile since I have been here and I miss it but it has changed a bit.
It's a ok place for kids in day time but when it's night time I say away from there it's bad there was a muder down there 2017 December
Great park... But where did all the benches go? I need a place to sit and relax while watching the kids wear themselves out.
Great park for all. Walking, picnics, playground, etc.
Great little park to walk.I do notice a lot of garbage in the water, needs to be cleaned up.
One of Newark's many gems, tucked away behind a neighborhood and a couple of schools. Rich history involving this location.
