Nice little place with good food and service. I lo...
Nice little place with good food and service. I love the koobideh would recommend to other Iranians.

It's obvious that this small restaurant is driven by a passion for authentic Persian food, the staff (all family, I suspect) genuinely care about your experience at their restaurant, and the Persian grocery store next door of the same name is also an indicator. If you're a meat lover, you'll be in seventh heaven. As you'd expect, an Arabian restaurant isn't too fussed about the wine list, just bring your own of you like to enjoy a good drop. We had a lot of spontaneous fun, two tables were celebrating birthdays, with the entire restaurant singing and clapping along.
Very nice restaurant with delicious kebabs, I specially liked lamb minced kebab (koobideh). The staff are also very friendly.
Kookoo Sabzi was swimming in fat. I had to press the oil out of the omlette on my napkin. We've spoken to the owner and complaint but he didn't care. Wouldn't go there again!!!
Delightful food. Awesome price. Large serves. Great advice from the staff. We will return soon.
Disadvantages:
Improper collision of servers
No Persian menu
Advantages:
The price is right
medium quality
I am a regular here and i find the food to be consistently delicious! Staff is very friendly, although sometimes communicating in english becomes a bit challenging with some Iranian waitresses... but its a very small con. This restaurant is serves the best Persian food i have had in Sydney. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food. Outstanding service. Best Persian Restaurant in Sydney as far as I'm concerned. We will definitely be back.
Baghali Polo and Morgh and Momtaz Kebab were absolutely delicious, the staff were very friendly and made the dinner to a full authentic Persian experience. If I am ever in Sydney again I will definitively come back!
Very rude lady manager. None of the staff are professional in hospitality. I would never enjoy an aggressive man with a big moustache coming on my table to take orders. The tables are so close together almost touching other people. They ask for cash and if you say you font have cash and want to pay with card, they look at you like you didn't pay and ate for free. Unfriendly and nit a pleasant experience
Excellent food and delightful experience, felt like being warmly welcomed into someone's home. Greatly enjoyed the meal and ambiance, and especially the opportunity to learn more about Persian food and culture from the owner's daughter. Definitely recommend!
Aaahhhhh; what wonderful food and what an amazing service! Absolutely enjoyed every bite and every minute! Highly recommended; might seem a bit pricey but you wouldn't regret your extravagance once you've had their food.
Beautiful platters of Saffron rice served with different types of uncomplicated and perfectly cooked skewers of meat- mostly chicken and lamb prepared in a variety of ways. Try their Lamb backstrap or their Chicken Sheesh and you'd want to go there every day.
Very very bad service. The waiter not busy but pretending to be busy and keeping us waiting for 15minutes to take order. Not greeting and welcoming to customer. We left the shop because of this situation. The staff very rude, I hope the owner of the restaurant will take action to their staff. I feel they might be racist because we are Muslim family!!!!
Food Was Great ! Prices Were Affordable ! 5 Star .
Really good, authentic Persian food. Very nice staff and clean!
Very tasty Persian cuisine.
Staff were friendly and recommended us these dishes:
- Eggplant Dip (Starters) (I do know the name but if you ask the staff they will most likely recommend it.) Very tasty with a bit of a cheesy taste.
- Jaam e Jam Special - Three different kebab meats with saffron rice (chicken, lamb mince and lamb backstrap) both the chicken and lamb mince were brilliant, the backstrap was also good bit felt a bit lacking.
- Zeresh polo ba morgh (Chicken with barberries and saffron rice) Very tasty fall off the bone chicken and barberries.
Altogether a very enjoyable meal, staff were friendly and quick and food was great.
Food above was enough to feed our family of three and leave us full. Expect to pay $60 for 2.
Authentic tasty Koobide & Momtaz kabab at Jaame-e-Jam restaurant with super friendly and welcoming staffs, Mirza ghasemi & Salad Shirazi was also delicious. Highly recommendable. Had to struggle a bit to find the location based on the google map app, but definitely worth it. Would like to come back again.
This was my first time in a Persian restaurant. As a vegeterian there is not much of a choice, but I did enjoy the rice with beans and herbs.
If I was a meatetarian, I would enjoy it much more as the rest of my friends did :)
Excellent food, one of the best Persian kebab restaurants in Sydney!
Perfect. The quality of food and customer service is truely "exceptional".
One of the top Iranian restaurant in Sydney so far. The staff are competent, respectful and welcoming. The quality of the food is excellent.
Great food, great service. My favourite Persian restaurant in Sydney. It can be busy in the evenings, so it;s a good idea to book a table.
Excellent restaurant. Great friendly service. The food was amazing
I highly recommend anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine, to try out this restaurant.
I went as part of a group the buffet is definitely the way to go.
Very tasty food. Launch for 2 people: $47 - worth it.
Great service and delicious food! Placed a large order for 8 people for pick up and it was ready in 20-25minutes.
Great food great service good value for money . Does takeaway
Best persian resturant Sydney very friendly and nice staff
Best persian food in Sydney with a really nice staff. I love all the Kebab varieties (joojeh, koobideh, barg) here.
great service, great staff, and the true taste of persian food. Highly recommend to everyone.
This place is by far the best Persian restaurant in Sydney. I travel from the eastern suburbs to just have their berry saffron rice with chicken kebab. The place has such a cosy and home vibe.
Very light flavoured cuisine if you have not tried before but good.
Confused staff Poor management and poor customer service
I love Persian food... This tastes almost mad good as my mother in law's cooking...
This restaurant used to be one of the best Iranian restaurants in Sydney, since the management was changed it is never the same, they lack the basic level of customer service, they are not friendly, not welcoming at all, the greeting is cold and the staff are so rude.
I gave them two opportunities to prove me wrong but each time is worse. Last time the food came with hair on it and when we complained they didn t even apologise!
I was really embarrassed to have some guests on dinner in this horrible place.
Please don t waste your time and money on this restaurant, I would give it 0/10.
Fabulous butcher shop. excellent management and service especially Mohsen.always fresh and clean. lucky to have Jam-e-Jam in our neighborhood.
Great quality and reansonable price.
The only issue would be lack of parking around the restaurant, not enough space inside.
best Persian restaurant in Sydney. friendly environment and good staffs.
Had a delicious birthday meal here. The koobideh and joojeh kabob was extremely tender and juicy and the rice was amazing (a bigger serving of rice and some butter would make it even better!). Entrees and desserts were also tasty. Definitely one of my favourite Persian restaurants. Make sure to book as it isn't a large restaurant and it is always busy!
Excellent tasting food, always authentic and a generous quantity of meal portion sizes. Prices are a little pricey for the area but still quite good value for money. Dined at this restaurant a few times, always a pleasant experience and will definitely come back.
We've been here each time we visit from the ACT and it has never failed us. Always a treat to come here.
Absolutely delicious food! As you can see from our poorly taken photo, we ordered three types of rice and a platter of their mixed grilled meat. The meat was tender and juicy. Each with its own unique taste. We also ordered a milk-based salty drink which went perfectly with the meal. The eggplant starters (I can't recall the exact names) were pretty good too. Definitely recommend a visit!
Our favourite Persian restaurant in town. Friendly, tasty and great for the family.
Best Persian food in the north shore! Amazing staff with excellent service.
Great service with wonderful suggestions from the staff. Will definitely return!
Lovely place, friendly staff, delicious food with proper wine and suggestions from staff, affordable prices and different availability of choices.
Came here for my parents anniversary and we were very pleased with the service and the amazing food.
A bit pricy but good taste. Would recommend trying Baghlai Polo ba Morgh
A lovely meal. The chicken on the bone is super moist & tasty. The vegetarian option of Ghormeh Sabzi was amazing with a kick of tartness. I also love the barberries & saffron rice. Can't get enough of the dip (Mirza Ghasemi), too! Be prepared for the massive amount of rice! The place is always packed on the weekend, so make sure you book ahead.
Different to the cuisine than we are to. How ever the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.
Horrible place. Rude owner/staff no sauces and no alchohal at all.
Food was measly and presented poorly
Excellent as always. Thank you Aza for for taking care of our lunch today. Delicious x
Simply delicious. Heaps of vegetarian options! I tried the vegetarian fesenjoon and loved it. My husband reckons that was the best koobide he has ever tasted and we have tried the best Persian restaurants in every state in Australia.
If you check my reviews, I don't give 5 stars but this restaurant truly deserves that. Wonderful food. Good service. Good for a family. Price is good. Enjoy and have fun
The food was good but it's not enough, so bad staffs and customer service , unfortunately they are not welcome and friendly
Great little restaurant! The dishes were tasty and just a twist different to the Middle Eastern food we are all used to. Loved that everything was served with bunches of fresh mint. Very generous servings and very reasonable.
Great food. Cannot fault. Seating tight and uncomfortable
Staff behaviour is good, however, food quality is below average. We ordered koobideh and Joje kebab. Joje portion was small. If I want to compare with Nikan restaurant in Ryde, food quality and level of service is better in Nikan restaurant comparing to here. Also, price wise is slightly more expensive than Nikan restaurant in Ryde.
It gets crowded, but thats because the food is very good. The service is friendly, courteous and efficient.
One of the good Persian restaurants in Sydney, food is always good. Vegetarian main options are not that good.
Excellent food, authentic Persian recipe, cosy environment, very polite and friendly staff! Absolute value for money!
Best Persian restaurant in Sydney. Great food hands down. Great quality and great service. Staff are so friendly.
Very nice food. We have never eaten in but the take away is great quality and will presented. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend the koubideh
The food is consistently good and the service is great. Atmosphere is pleasing. We are regulars
Thanks to Akbar Agha and Azadeh for their kind treatment
Good selection of Persian food. Service was ok!
Good place to try persian food if you are interested!
Food is alright, some staff are very friendly, better than many other Persian restaurant in the Northshore area.
Update: the new management is great.
Great food, wonderful staff. Food a bit different from your normal middle Eastern fare.
