This is the best location for the Ivars chain, in my humble opinion. On the lake and feels rustic and always has a crowd.. which is great b/c the seafood is consumed as fast as they can catch it!

The food is excellent, however, I used the restroom and let the hostess know about that the soap in the men s room was our. I went in about 90 minutes later and the restroom was in worse shape. I let the hostess know about this and she didn t seem to care. Then I let a manger know and his response was even worse. Not sure I ll eat there again.

Amazing food and View. Tucked away from touristy area so the prices are much softer and the food is classic and delicious. I can't stress enough how great this place is. If the weather is nice try to sit out on the back deck. The photos are the view from our table.

Excellent dining experience! Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and great service. We shared 3 appetizers, the Smoked Salmon chowder, Clam chowder and Dungeness Crab and Goat Cheese dip are all incredible! I had the Wild Salmon Duo for lunch and it was amazing! The King and Coho salmon are delicious! The waitress rewarded my dad for eating all of his greens by giving him NW mixed berry ice cream! We were also seated by the widows with a great view of the lake.

The salmon house is in a cool, native American long house-inspired building that is filled with carving, masks, and canoes. The view access Lake Union to the Seattle skyline is worth a visit, but whether you go to the dining room it the bar, this place is a little more special than other Ivar's locations. On top of this, happy hour lasts from 3pm to close and your can arrive by boat and tie up at their dock.

Mother day brunch was beautiful! Busy and loud but food was on point all around except still have dry salmon lol (did 20 yrs ago too). Ever get the chance to do mothers days are the sam brunch Get reservations in EARLYlikethte othe month+ early! And make sure sign up for the salmon HOUSE..idk if others are the same or not but ya never know...I personally like the native theme that runs thru this one. Some of the stuff on display is most beautiful and can learn a lil too... make sure to try there crepes made right in front of you as well as omelette station right next to it!. Wonderful French toast and eggs Benedict! Also have a chocolate fountain to dip and drizzle on many diff choices from fruits to crackers and pretzels! I think any Mom would be thrilled to be taken here.. I know I was as well as my mother in law and my Mom! Hope helps a lil bit!

For being an out of towner, I was on a quest for good fish and chips. This place definitely satisfied that for me. Got an ivarita drink and a shrimp shooter that was perfect for trying. I heard from locals ivar's fish was low tier but it hit the spot for me and I've had worse fish and chips at other places. I'd come back here for fish and chips again! View was great too.

Like to come here on a sunny day to grab a few items off of the menu from the service area outside the restaurant, then head over to the back where you have tables and parasols with the view of the Lake Union. The price is little high for fast food but the service is good for a quick bite.

The dining area in the back is bus your own table so it can get pretty messy on a busy day but I still enjoy it for the view.

Really great restaurant, delicious food and awesome wait staff! We sat on the barge and it was chilly (October) but still a great evening. The happy hour runs from 3pm to Close and definitely made the fifth star for this review. Thank you! We will return!

This is my go-to when we have visitors in town. They gave us some awesome coupons over New Years and their food is generally excellent. They also have a variety of gluten-free options. The price may seem a bit expensive, but keep in mind they moved to a no-tip policy recently.

This place has the feeling that it belongs to an older version of Seattle. If views are what you re looking for, it certainly has great shots of the Space Needle across the water.

I had the silver Coho salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach, and even though I was very hungry, it was good but not great. Portions were generous (with prices to match), but we weren t left with the sense that we had over eaten.

The happy hour flourless chocolate cake was tasty but a tiny portion perfect for one person who wants a little something at the end of a meal. It was not a sharable portion.

Friendly, delicious, nice atmosphere. The salmon sampler was great. Of course, the king was the best, but I didn't order it alone as I prefer not to have so many 'cheffy' ingredients that I don't know. The sampler, sauce able to be on the side, great as it wasn't to my taste. Garlic mashed potatoes, I didn't taste any garlic :( The string beans were delicious.

The food was great. The waitstaff was wonderful. The bathrooms were terrible. I informed the hostess staff and they said they would take care of it. I went back an hour later and nothing had been done. There was toilet paper littered on the floor and half of the toilet stalls in the women's restroom had no toilet paper. If they are not keeping the restrooms clean, what else is not being taken care of. For a high end restaurant, I expect more.

Really good food from the fish bar next to the Salmon House. There is also a really scenic outdoor dining area behind the restaurant that everyone can access (without going through the restaurant). A bit of a wait for food but that's to be expected at a popular place like this.

Not a cheap restaurant but, this was going to be our treat during our break in Seattle. We had some fun finding it but it was worth it. Lovely decor, very attentive service and super food made us all really pleased that we visited. Recommended by our relatives in Seattle, I can see why, lovely view across the water combined with quality food that justified the price. An evening that we will remember for very good reason.

Absolutely wonderful. Delicious halibut, crab and salmon. Reasonably priced... better than downtown seafood locations with lots of parking. Happy hour drink pricing on weekdays 3-close an added bonus!

This place always has had and continues to produce wondeful seafood dishes. The Whalemaker bar inside is great, and the happy hour has a wonderful selection. Be sure to ask the bartenders how the bar got its name!
