No communication is possible with the IUT, some courses are very laborious, some teachers not competent enough and pedagogues, and the impossibility of asking questions to some teachers (explanations too fast, teachers who do not push upwards ...) does not solve some of the difficulties that we may encounter, in addition to the unequal overload of work.
Unsafe supervision of teachers. Very bad atmosphere.
Repetitive courses, teacher conflicts that affect the students' courses or projects, some very good teachers, but mainly, the IUT loses more energy to lower students than to guide them in their study path . An interesting first year, a disappointing second year.
Incompetent and very stubborn teachers who do not want to listen to the students for any remark, administration totally pick up and even more incompetent than any service in France, I read other reviews that said the same thing but I thought it was wrong and it was only a few isolated cases, but no it is real and there are more than half of the students who have gone to other IUTs. If you see this opinion and want to integrate the IUT Charlemagne, flee, really, I deeply regret having been in this establishment.
Very good local (even if the building was built with the plans of the IUT of Nice of the blow it is quite cold the winter haha), good framework of work, station with 10 minutes on foot, supermarket with 5 minutes, teachers nice.
Being part of the promo 98 to 2000 in Computer Science, it was an excellent experience and excellent training, very complete, very dense too.
The teachers are very very competent. The mix between academics / researchers (LORIA of sizes!) And contractors from private companies (so real field experience) is a plus undeniable compared to the faculty, disconnected from reality.
The presence in the establishment of DUT Tech Co, Info Comm and GEA allows to have common teachers, very talented in Business Management / Accounting / Law. (It also helps to be less in between guys in computer).
Regarding the building, it has a very concrete architecture typical of its time, but ugly and energy-consuming ajd it must be admitted. (although connected to the Nancy heat network).
Parking (and parking around) is a real concern. No student should consider coming by car. It is essential to take advantage of the services offered:
- Coming by bus: bus lines 3-6-16 and even 7 and 8 nearby
-T1 du Crous nearby
-Numerous student rentals throughout the neighborhood + Dynamic neighborhood with supermarket and other shops, doctors, opticians, banks.
But as students are increasingly equipped with cars, it is lawlessness on the sidewalks, and the police are happy to round off the end of the month (and she is right!)
Uninvested professors and establishment with almost zero communication. If you want to be delivered to yourself, give it a try, but otherwise it's really not what we're selling at the open house.

A very useful and professional teaching, an excellent choice of training not to doubt.
In training for a DUT TC (2012-2014) and subsequently in MO license (2014-2015). I can say today with hindsight that it was my 3 most beautiful years. The teaching staff are competent and pro. We learn the basics which allows us to continue our master's course easily (after a master + a specialization, I still use the basics of the IUT and even in my profession now).
The integration of a 2nd year student project allows you to set foot in the professional world.
A beautiful human adventure with very beautiful friendships.
A very big disappointment for me, the establishment boasts of offering a framework for the students but this framework is anything but reassuring: you are constantly oppressed by your presence and your work without being referred. It all comes down to penalizing and penalizing the students and above all not listening to them. Many of the lessons are archaic and repetitive, some disrespectful teachers and teachers or defeatists little involved and no comments from the students will be taken into account since they are "inferior". So do not expect any questioning from the teaching and administrative staff after all, youth is no longer what it used to be ... Even the grades are capped, nothing is done to help and advance the students!
The IUT stole my time and my business money because I did not learn much because many obsolete courses with too little practice or it is the students who do the course and marked on subjects they do not know at all. The diploma is not representative at all and will not help to fit into professional life properly.
The wifi never works, impossible to work properly. The IUT is very poorly served by public transport and the parking available is full from 8 a.m. It s HELL!
I do not recommend this IUT at all in terms of the course, the atmosphere, the training and the welcome, the interaction.
An advice ? Do not believe the training brochures and what you are told at the open house! They say anything to attract you because they need the students to earn their subsidy from the state and companies. It is lamentable and it is clearly making money off the backs of taxpayers.
