Island Travels Review

Appalled by what looks like a culture of remorseless disregard for customer comfort. Would never travel with Island Travels again.

Great travels,friendly drivers and rides on exact time

MISERABLE EXPERIENCE

We had booked ourselves on 1st Oct to Goa from Bangalore. Our ordeal was as below :
1) They sent a Bus by the name "Rakesh Travels"
2) Instead of 8.30 pm it began on 9.30 pm
3) There was only a single driver who was visibly over worked, we also found out that this "Only Driver" had driven a bus 5 months back, he was a TT driver.
4) He took couple of Sleep Breaks of 30 mins to avoid any mishaps - Thoughtful of him.
5) But he did commit one accident near Hubli by bumping into a VRL Bus Damaging the VRL vehicle badly.
6) The bus crumbled near Ghat section at Yellapur and hot smoke started to come out of the front tires, leaving us in a fear of fire.
7) More than 40 mins on the Goa Border checking
8) In all, the journey which should have taken 13 to 14 hours with Breaks, took us 24 hours.
Over it the Office (Island Travels) bearer didn't take any responsibility and hung-up wishing us "Happy Journey".
Do not book on ISLAND Travels, not even if its the END of the World and this is the last available Bus service.

Pathetic experience overall, Our journey was from Bangalore to Goa. It took 20 hours ( when it states 14hrs) for us to reach because the driver was slow over the top , he was being caught by cops for talking on phone multiple times during the journey. And the conductor or helper wasn't even aware about the multiple drops in Goa itself. The driver wasn't a professional driver , even after getting caught by cops , he wasn't carrying his needful details. Passengers were getting restless and they were having their leisure driving . Never ever going to book this travels ever.

Worst bus ever. Seats are broken and the staffs are non co operative

Third class travel agency . No guarantee for your lives and please stay away from this travel agency very rude staff. No time sense . Idiotic stupid behavior with passengers.

Booked through one of the online ticketing website. Their own website shows different set of photos and what we got was nowhere near to it's presentation.

No blankets given.
No charger points.
No water bottles.
Curtains were also randomly put.
Upper level window was transparent.
Night lamp was also glowing like you can not sleep peacefully.
Bus shows Varsha travels when we booked for Island travels.

Guys don't book any bus through this travels in your life time ..

They use very bad condition bus .. They are not even fix for city riding .. Horrible experience.. Do book and don't let your friends & relative to book from this travels ..

Save your life and others ..

It's a complex/location where you find all bus/travel agencies and also the bus pick up point. It's at one corner of Anand Rao circle. It's very crowded place, even the paths are crowded. During weekends all outstation buses pass through this point hence there will be very slow moving traffic. Also, people dropping by car, park it a while leaving to jams. VRL, SRS, Seabird , Shyamala likewise you find pick up point for most outstation buses.

Please dnt use this fraudster bus service and barbarian bus staff.it requires negative rating
They take money for seats,they dnt tell you exact boarding point and they wont contact nor Pick your calls,leave without you and probably sell the seats to someone else.The bus staff have no manners and zero service quality and no one responsible in the management. This kind of bus should never exist in the first place since its a total disgrace to the word bus service.Never even go near
