This is to the management of Island Foods, the most iconic Roti eatery ever in the city of Toronto. You have changed your curry recipe and it just doesn't work. The recipe your parents devolved is a work of culinary art. Currently, there is a dominate bland tasting turmeric or foreign condiment that is overpowering the curry spices. I pray that you can fix this. God Bless.

Ordered the goat dish and it was so bland and flavorless. Bad proportions. Like there's so much rice, and potatoes, cabbages yet so little meat. Needs better seasoning and vegetable variety. Not worth the full price cause it literally taste like home made Chinese food!

I have been eating potato roti since I was a young girl. Thankfully, this location is still in operation and was quite saddened to see King/Dufferin location close up due to development. (same thing happened to my Richtree restaurant @ Bayview/York Mills corner)

So the reason I gave 4 stars is because of the finished product. I will start off by saying the food tastes very good. However I was very confused when our order came and I got a roti in a plastic bowl and it seemed they poured the curry sauce all over it and by the time it was delivered to me, it was kind of a mess and the roti itself was....soggy? As a West Indian person I have never eaten a roti like this. I'm just unsure about why they decided to put the sauce ontop of the roti. Others at my work were also confused about this as well. The taste of the curry potatoes was amazing but the soggy roti really ruined it for me and if I knew this or had an option to not have it this way, I would have chose that. Still the food was excellent and perhaps if you guys could, please make this an option in the future.

Update 4/24
Thank you for the response ownership. I have edited my review to 5 stars. I am unsure why we got it like that, I will make sure next time we order from here to request it without the sauce on top like this.

Just want to show some love for Island Foods. I've been missing the amazing roti and doubles I had the luxury of eating any time I wanted when they were at King and Dufferin (and close to my house).

Stopped by last minute today as I was in the Don Mills area and had a craving. And so happy I did...I was missing these amazing flavours.

And the staff were super accommodating when I made a mistake with my order.

Thank you for still existing in this city, Island Foods!!
