These people are seriously the best utility company I have ever dealt with. Although deposits are expensive, they are efficient and very polite. They need to give training lessons to the hellacious disaster that is cde lightband.
I received a voicemail today saying I had a past due balance of$302 from 1998 and they have added it to my bill and would have to be paid to continue service. Mind you it is 2021 this is a 23 year old bill. I called to dispute the bogus claim and was told I would have to provide documentation it was paid. Who keeps receipts from 23 years ago????
If you look at the billing, it is not industry standard by any means. They do not meter the sewer and simply charge the sewer fee based on water usage plus an addition percentage for county. Most other municipalities charge a flat fee for sewer as there is no way to meter it accurately (and most municipalities are concerned with ethical billing of customers, that s apparently not a problem for Clarksville Gas & Water). Realistically, something needs to be done about the very serious overcharging from this company!

Customer service was very rude. I don t think being helpful was part of their job training at all. I called to ask if they d send someone out to see if there might be a leak bc my bill was getting higher each month and she wouldn t even do that. I have contacted someone to come have a look. I m very disappointed in this water company!
After paying my late and next month's bill, with the $50.00 credit, they want me to pay an extra $200 on top of that, like I have that!
BEWARE!! If you have a rental be sure to track CG&W like a hawk. I was just taken to collections for a $30 in-between renters fee. I had set up mail forwarding, they had my phone number AND email and I recieved no notifications about the fee that has now hit my credit score. Trassshhhhhhh
