The food was great, Lisa our server was outstanding. She was so friendly and really quick with food and drinks.
Prime rib and crabcakes were to die for. Don't skip the lemon blueberry cheesecake .

The only downfall was the parking lot smelled like a sewer. Almost left. If you can get past that, it is worth the few minutes of stink.

I was disappointed, supposed to be specialist of prime rib, but a $28.00 16 ounce prime rib was served to me and was 50% fat, they were eager to rectify my issue, with another prime rib. Beyond the fat the taste of my prime was good.Service was good, and friendly atmosphere was nice. Slightly pricey.

I usually do not write reviews, because every business has a bad day - it is the nature of running a business. But, my last two experiences with the restaurant were my last. Last night though...was a really bad experience. My husband usually takes me to Burger King for date night...lol, so my expectations start off low. I convinced him to go to the Iron Bridge because we had not been there for a while. Well we were sadly disappointed. The place was not busy at all as it was a Thursday night. The service was extremely slow. We waited a half hour for the Jalapeno shrimp, which were good I admit. My husband ordered the smokehouse dip and for the price, the serving was puny. I had the Western burger - it was horrible. No taste, no seasoning. Then the fries...if you could call them that - were a soggy, greasy mess. We asked the waitress for new fries. We got another plate of soggy, greasy fries. I should have went to Burger King. I can honestly say that it was the worst $50.00 dollars spent on food and to sadly to come away hungry. If you cannot make a burger and fries, I am frightened to see what the prime rib would taste like.

My personal favorite, the Iron Bridge Inn is a low key place that is decorated in rustic charm. The menu has a little bit of everything, and you're guaranteed to walk out with a full belly and smile from the great dining experience. They also have a full bar menu, so stop on by for any occasion.

I seriously hope that this was a one off night for these folks based upon the previous reviews. The waitress was very nice BUT service was extremely slow, waited 15 minutes to get a beer and glass of wine. The drinks may have come out faster had the bartender not been hanging out with her friends at the end of the bar. To cap it off, food came out cold! Prime Rib, barely 90F, if that, and mashed potatoes were served room temperature. Quality of the sirloin steak was seriously probably the worst I have ever had. Extremely disappointed!

As a side note, ate at Rachel's Roadhouse the week prior and food and service was excellent.

Wow! What a experience. We came to stay overnight and do some shopping for my girlfriends birthday and found our regular spot closed. This place is now our regular spot. Waitress ( tall blonde, sorry cannot remember her name) was kind and even recommended a appetizer (spicy cowboy dip), dont let the name fool you it had the right amount of heat and coolness. French onion soup was seasoned very well and not overly salty like most places. For dinner she had the strip and mashed, I had the 24oz prime rib with tater tots .... everything was cooked perfectly. Great job and we cannot wait to come back.

After traveling along I80 through PA we were anxious to find a place to stop and eat that was not fast food. Coming up to the exit for Butler, I believe, we decided to get off and try The Iron Gate restaurant. We were not disappointed!

The ambience was of a relaxed and friendly place. The wait staff was professional and knowledgable of the menu, including the specials.

My friend had the prime rib, which was on special, and I opted for the grilled salmon salad. Both were excellent! The bread served was very tasty and the butter was not cold and hard! A plus for those of us who want spreadable butter for the bread!

All-in-all a very unexpected, pleasant fining experience! We thought we would have to get home in an area we knew before having a dinner like this one!

Highly recommended!

Our Valentine's prime rib was truly very disappointing. We ordered the 12 oz cut. One serving was much smaller than the other. There was MUCH MORE FAT THAN MEAT on both. I don't mind paying for Prime Rib.....when it is as it should be. This was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and total waste of $75.00. They need to revaluate what they are putting out if they want return customers. I was warned that the " Iron Bridge is NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE.". Now I understand stand the comment. There are lots of places to dine. We will be spending our money elsewhere.

Inside decor was great. Hostess wasn't friendly...... follow her to the table, she set down the menus and walked away without a word.
Meal presentations were very appealing. French onion soup was on the bland side but ok. Had the smoked trio, chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. The rub was flavorful but the meat was pretty dry, especially the chicken. Rib meat fell off the bone but not juicy.
Service was ok. Didn't see our server a whole lot but she did a decent job.

Great atmosphere although usually crowded. Visit their website to use an app to make reservations which saves some wait. Service is great, prices match the atmosphere. For the area this place stands out. Good cocktail and craft beer options.

Food taste kept the same and service is not bad after we went in the past years. We should listen one of viewers (TripAdvisors)' and never go back after new management took care the business.
Coz we felt the same way about the way we were being served at the front desk is different and not that friendly anymore.
Especially a lady (mid-age, white short hair) we assumed is the manager who only chatted with other customer when we passed by in front of her the time we finished the meal. She (and another younger female host) don't even said bye or welcome-type of conversation. We even felt we were being ignored. (At that moment, we had one thought : Is that because we're Asian?)
Will I go back next time? You all know my answer.
(I gave 2 star for the taste of food but I should give only 1 star or even less if for the service).

Took a 3 mile detour off I-80. There was a 45 minute wait to be seated, which can only mean that the food is good. We decided to do take out and eat on the road. My daughter who is a picky eater couldn't stop telling us how great her food is. She had ordered the crispy shrimp and apple sauce off the kids menu and it was ALL GONE! That picky child ate it all! My son who is a foodie too the core ordered the Texas Mac n cheeseb and reported back that it was delicious as well. We also ordered the haystack chicken sandwich which was also great. While we waited for the food, I enjoyed looking at the unique decor and learning about the history of this restaurant. It is 40 years old. Great place! Awesome food!

Went to this restaurant recently and had a top sirloin steak - the 12 oz. "Iron Bridge Special." It was AMAZING!!! First, it was a very large steak! No fat or bone - nothing but very very good beef. It was cooked to perfection. And it tasted soooo good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I'm no "foodie" or anything, only a regular guy who enjoys a good steak. And I've eaten steak at restaurants across the country, including places like Nebraska, California, Texas, New Mexico, Las Vegas, and elsewhere. Including restaurants like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and many lesser-known places. This top sirloin from the Iron Bridge I would put up against any of the other restaurants, and it would hold its own!! That's how good it was!!

Now I am thankful I don't live super close to the Iron Bridge, or it's likely that I would eat so much steak that my arteries would turn to a solid. :) But I can guarantee you, I'll go back whenever I get the chance, and I'll find it very very hard to order anything else! Oh and btw, the cherry pie I had for dessert was also very good, it even had coconut in the crumble crust!

Service was good, and the restaurant has a nice, rustic feel. Many stuffed animals including a full-sized polar bear! Very nice restaurant. A little pricey for some dishes (not all), but based on my experience it is very much worth every penny!!!

Excellent food. Ordered a burger medium well and came medium well. Food was flavored excellently and didn't have too much or too little sauce. The bacon on the burger was thick cut and delicious. No complaints whatsoever, would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a delicious meal.
