As shortfired says, stingy. Save on the expendables. In particular the so-called "Health Academy" which has no understanding at all for the intern who does a 32-hour internship a week and does everything like his colleagues. Independent. Radboud must have its affairs in order. It is already the oldest hospital in Nijmegen. So a little bit of professionalism is very much expected. Nobody works for free unless you choose it yourself.

After major surgery, with subsequent, rather serious, complications, I spent eight weeks in the Urology department. What a fantastic team! And what a dedicated patient care. They are experts, listen carefully to the patient and take your wishes into account as much as possible. And there is often a bit of a laugh. I am extremely satisfied with the Urology Department and have been able to hold out well during that long period of time that I had to spend there.

Great hospital, watch out:
-for people with disabled bus (not in parking garage) a drama with parking, the many disabled places are full of small cars-well with a card-.
-Very long corridors to walk from the main entrance, but event. golf carts taxi. Other entrances not always open (?) And from there maze effect.
-RUWEC virtually unreachable, by phone only in the morning and then easily 20-30 minutes on hold. It is not exactly smooth by e-mail either.

At least half an hour if you are here for the first time. Too bad that the blood samples were open a bit and did not offer any privacy. Everything is clearly indicated and a modern hospital, which distinguishes itself in the department with colors, which is also nice.

Great hospital, I stayed here for 5 nights and it was so over. In my case I had my own room and constant sisters who helped me with anything and everything. There is also delicious (free) coffee robbery. The food when you stay there is excellent. In the morning you have a choice of standard things like crackers and then the 'day special' these are then things like croissants or an omelet ect. This varies per day. Then a healthy shake is often added at 12 o'clock with a choice of often more than 5 fruity flavors. Lunch was often a salad after choice with a nice scoop. At 4 o'clock I got a tasty snack like bitterballen every day. Dinner I got a choice of things like spaghetti, stew, soup ect. This was also different every day and very tasty. And then I often got a cookie or something tasty later in the evening. In short, perfectly arranged in terms of food and room. The medication and pain was also kept very accurate. I was able to inject extra painkillers myself with the push of a button. I could not have wished for a better stay. In terms of parking and visitors, everything is also very well arranged, there is often enough room for a relatively low price in the garage. And there are several nice restaurants in the hospital itself for the visitors. In short, perfect. You can even be brought to your destination with a golf kart, so even for the limited people everything is super accessible within the huge building.

My grandfather was treated very well here. This hospital has many different specialties, as a result of which the various health problems were solved well simultaneously. My grandfather asked if I wanted to post this review.

No words for that good I have been treated here. I came here this year (2017) with a bump on my neck. After all kinds of tests I had to have surgery, but it all went well. So in one word: Fantastic! And compliments to Dr. Scharbatke

Internship at the ORs of the surgery department. What a top hospital, constantly busy with renewal, but not just. Innovation is first extensively tested without endangering people before it actually becomes practical. What teams, what humanity and what a great atmosphere for a hospital. Great people, great skills, great technology and great location. Nothing but praise for this hospital!

Good hospital. However, the food is just way too expensive, 4.50'- for a bread is really ridiculous !!
You already pay big for the car, 1.60'- per hour.
Then you are there for half a day, so you get hungry. Will be nice if some good copper can do.

Overzichtelijk aangegeven waar je moet zijn. Gratis koffie/thee of chocolademelk.
En het allerbelangrijkste; de allerbeste en meest meedenkende, plastisch chirurg Prof. Dr. Ulrich!!
Waarom geen 5 *? Omdat het parkeren duur is!

Good hospital. Department of Dermatology (route 374) you will be helped quickly. Don't you sit in the waiting room for long. Waiting area is spacious and fairly tidy. There are 10 to 11 treatment rooms that are also quite neat (but old). Delay time of the doctor (s) are indicated on the large TV screen. And all the staff, nurse, doctors and doctors in training are kind to you. The only disadvantage is if you have to park in the basement, it is a long walk to the department. But they can't help that.

Thanks to dept.Internal Medicine.in particular Dr. Hofstede I managed to get back to my reasonable normal state with a lot of patience and wisdom after a serious borrelia infection in my brain.
I am very grateful to you for this.

With kind regards. Marten van Dijken

As a student from the UK i expected more. Travelled across the entire ocean to study on the radboudumc. Came there for an internship without any knowledge if i was getting paid or not. Its something they, the Health Academy, wanted to keep "private" or so. I can't afford paying bills without getting paid. Its completely nonsense and change should be made. Heard that this was ongoing for years and years. Radboud is unlike other medical schools, avaricious.

LechtPoor hospital with the so-called "geriatric care" as the sad capstone. I will NEVER forget the BAD and INADEQUATE care that my mother-in-law has received here.
There is absolutely no point in complaining because the arrogance of the medical top is leading. Patients and their relatives are definitely not taken seriously here !!!

Nice staff. As a patient you are not a number here. You will be listened to. Have now been there twice in the MDL department. The outpatient clinic is also good. Blood sampling, etc. at the clinic. They have to do in more hospitals.

Very poor administration.
Claiming for 2 weeks that they have sent my papers !!
While this is not the case.

I have already made calls about it a dozen times, but the only thing you will hear is: "We have sent it, I cannot do anything else for you" !!!!

Ridiculous and very unprofessional.

I am expected to work 4 days a week from 8 to 5 without pay as an intern while all other hospital / GP locations DO provide an internship allowance. This hospital is too stingy for new colleagues and especially when it comes to the money. Cut back on the expendables. Shit out.

For someone who does not know better, it is certainly fine.
Waiting times like there we do not know anymore, large waiting areas like here in the past can be nostalgic but I prefer the more quiet personal. Although most visitors have also stepped from a distant past, the doctors are of this time and I do have faith in medical knowledge and expertise. I think I can improve a lot on the internal structure. The appearance that radiates from the modern hall should continue after the entrance to the hallways. After the old-looking garage where few directions are indicated, you run into one of the cigarette trays after another and no smoking bans, but I did not use them in principle. To pay the relatively inexpensive parking fee you find out that these are just as old-fashioned as the elevators and even though the coins did not work, the debit system did not work either. If I had not seen any other than I would have done 4 stars but in comparison with hospitals in Groningen 2x, Emmen, Utrecht, Almelo which I would give 4/5, Maastricht, Leeuwarden and Hardenberg 3 stays underneath so a 2 for the time being the possibility .

Very impersonal approach, you really are a number here. They don't care about patients here, just to collect interesting data for their studies. Do not listen to your complaints and therefore do not look further than their nose is long. Very bad and bad thing!

Very good hospital, working with Germany, have not only helped my husband, but also my neighbor's great. She was always skeptical but after an accident she would be flown there by helicopter and would prefer not to go anywhere else. Radboud is so big, is a city in itself. Doctors super competent and always up to date

During our very stressful visit to the Netherlands where our daughter was critically ill in the CCU of your hospital we found so much kindness and care to both Lisa and our selves. The hotel staff were helpful and made booking and staying easier and took some of the worry away. We are back home now and would like to say thank you once again to everyone involve in Lisa's care and recovery and the kindness and help shown to both my husband and I. We will never forget our experience but everyone explain in English the treatment, illness and kept us up to date daily with all that was happening for that we are very grateful.

Wrong hospital. In particular Oral and oral surgery. Even professors lie and cheat about X-rays, treatments. They try to trick you with bogus diagnoses and all sorts of tricks to cover up medical mistakes from, in this case, a dentist. Bad address if mistakes by dentists are suspected (applies to more hospitals by the way). Avoid this hospital.

Really huge area, with access from every side. Everywhere clean, modern look. Very friendly people at the reception. They will guide you everywhere. At the pharmacy. For me, complete satisfaction. Plenty of parking spaces, although a little expensive, but when you move away from the hospital it is quite cheap.

Too bad that the parking policy is bad all taxi ranks are full of normal cars, and if you ask for a parking policy from the hospital people are referred to De Gemeente Nijmegen, but that is not the case so no place to park for taxis

At that hospital you are really just a number. If you have a choice don't choose a University hospital, they are only interested in unusual cases. The normal patient has to live with 5 min. appointments and no time for questions. Parking is terrible.

I was in the Function department from the population screening. Only got to speak to a nurse who was not talking but was reciting what she apparently told every patient.
Because I couldn't have a colonoscopy, I asked for a CT because I saw many polyps and fistulas in 2015 and I now apparently have colon cancer or perforation with fever. Obtaining this information is apparently too much for Dokter Rijk. She wants me to wait 2 years when I can't eat or drink and morphine weighs in the terrible pain, while I never take tablets.
I warn everyone who really has intestinal problems, do not be sent to the Radboud from the population screening. You will not be helped there, they are only concerned with making money easily from the population screening.

Had more the feeling that they were lifting the insurance policy than that they actually wanted to provide the best care and expertise left something to be desired. 2 X children born in this hospital. 2 X heavily insufficient. With our first child, the baby turned out to be a bit small. (we are Asians) Says the gynecologist, maybe that is because you are Asians. ??? Thought he was the specialist. Shouldn't you know that as a gynecologist ??? We live in a multicultural society, as a specialist where you get enough for it seems to me that you can delve deeper into this. (Incidentally, in the 2nd pregnancy the baby was a bit smaller than average, the gynecologist said that this was normal because we were Asians). Then there was something else. Had to come there three times a week for a check-up? Perfect every time. After a few weeks I had enough and canceled the appointments. Had to come again for a check at old and new. December 31. She had to stay / be hospitalized immediately. I would have preferred her to go on January 1 the next day and be able to spend New Years Eve with the family. So I asked if she could come the next day. Could not because they were not a hotel. We didn't have to come back if we went. Well if it was really that threatening, they would never have let us go. So in my opinion they tried to beat the insurance for the highest possible amount. At birth, the baby turned out to be a bit too big and had to be cut a few cm. Despite that, she still had to pull it out with a plunger on our son's head. After pulling hard, it SHOOTS. Which has caused damage to his scalp. As a result, got a very large piece of crust on his head. Do not know if it is because of this, but he now has a small bald spot on that part where no hairs grow. Meanwhile, it is already 10. From our 2nd child they did not even know that the child was almost 5 kilos. They had made an ultrasound and estimated that the baby was 5 kilos. But that couldn't be true, they said, don't worry. After 12 hours of labor, the baby turned out to be too large and a cesarean section was required. When our daughter was born weighed immediately. 4986 grams. !!!! They say casually, if we had known that before, we would have done a cesarean section right away. My wife for nothing with 12 hours of contractions located there. Well I don't know how much pain causes a contraction. But it doesn't seem like fun. You would think they know how to study an ultrasound.

So in short 2 bad experiences.
