They processed my licensure to become a Physical Therapist in two days during a National pandemic! Emails were responded to in less than an hour! Normally the process takes 2 months in most states!!! Now I can go treat patients!
It's understandable to protect privacy and to limit public access to certain areas. However, to excessively curtaine off the public access all around goes against open government.

They leave people on hold and don't answer Covid questions. They asked me what county I was from and transferred me to my county who didn't know the and We and told me to call the state. They are rude, grumpy, and unhelpful.
ZERO enforcement of the Iowa Smokefree Air Act in Burlington, IA. Our smoke-free zones are covered with cigarette butts and many provide ashtrays.
I am covid positive found out 3 days ago from my employer and no one has contacted me about contact tracing and isolation.
They have no information about the covid vaccination tiers or who is next. No help at all
Update: I finally received a phone call from the Health Department. Very very nice lady that answered all my question plus more.
I tested positive for COVID-19 on November 12 2020. I've answer all my phone calls no matter what. Still no contact tracing call or letter. I called and was transferred to some lady that didn't answer the phone so I left a message with my phone number. 24 hours later..no call back... No wonder people are committing suicide... So many questions that CAN'T BE ANSWERED!
I needed a copy of a death certificate in order to obtain death benefits left to me by my recently deceased stepfather, who worked for the public school system. I've missed the deadline for claiming the benefits because apparently a month isn't enough time for the state of Iowa to get a certificate sent out. My e-mails and phone messages were consistently ignored, and now it's too late. I hope the fee I paid is put to good use. Thanks for nothing.
Application for Medical Marijuana, you guys made it so much easier with access to the medicine I need for my autoimmune diseases, hopefully the pharmacy board has an open meeting at some point to discuss the cap on percentage per plant, and possibly even open up growing locally to help our state and local community become more supportive to our dispensaries, and reduce cost for the medication with more supply for patients across the state.
I'm covid positive and noone has called me to track my movements I could have caught it one day, at 4 locations that's pretty specific tracking. Noone. Has told me to specifically to stay home. It's ridiculous
