Utterly fantastic afternoon tea set in fantastic grounds. The team there made us very welcome and as they were so quiet gave us a tour of the house (not the guest ready bedrooms of course). Queen Victoria stayed here for a week and loved it - it s plain to see why. The views are stunning. We walked from Fort William which took an hour - leave at the right time and you ll see the Jacobite steam train zoom past in all its glory.

We were supposed to stay at Inverlochy castle as part of our honeymoon.
Unfortunately, due to a very serious medical emergency and surgery I was unable to fly to Europe. Every single hotel which we had booked (10+ hotels) gave us a full refund on compassionate grounds, even though they didn t have to. Inverlochy Castle was the ONLY hotel which DID NOT show any compassion whatsoever. They did not provide a refund, and in fact they just cancelled our booking without my express permission and they just kept my money! (presumably because they wanted to re-sell the room)
Inverlochy Castle management clearly have a lack of compassion and are indifferent towards guests. They are rigid, inflexible, and quite frankly, only care about money.
We are planning on returning to Scotland in June and we will DEFINITELY not be staying at Interlochy Castle. We will not stay at Inverlochy castle ever again, and neither will our friends and family.

5 star hotel. Very friendly. Wonderful food. Terrific large rooms with bath and shower. Nice easy walking trails on the property. Tennis court. Row boat. Garden.
The hotel is fairly dirty.Fixtures and furnishings look like a yard sale collaboration of old and new.Check in we received no information at all other than asked if we wanted to push our 5 star dinner time earlier.Dinnet was awful. I really don't know how this hotel has received 3 rosette. Albert should revisit and retrain however is in the kitchen.We sent back both our main courses and they wanted to prepare us something else.zwe declined as why bother if they couldn't get that even close to a one star meal.

Stopped off for a quick lunch and was welcomed by the lovely staff. Food was amazing, and the views from the drawing room were sensational!!! Was sad that we didn't have time to stay for scones and tea, but would love to go back there for another visit!

We went for a drink, after tea time and we had no luck. They had some kind of event and it was not possible. However, they kindly invited us to visit the castle on the outside and take as many photos as we wanted. Thank you!!!

Although a little pricey, it was well worth the visit. The staff and hotel were excellent. It was a real treat and we would definitely stay again

Afternoon tea isn t really expensive but isn t good either. No taste and poor service. Would expect much more from a palace even if we re just afternoon tea customers... boring and uninteresting

Beautiful castle, very elegant and sumptuous. Excellent cuisine and excellent attention to intolerances. Spectacular room and beautiful garden. Too expensive, there are cheaper castles of equal beauty
Being a guest at this castle hotel is like stepping back in time. Men have to wear jackets to dinner, there's a billiards room complete with the hunting relics of a bygone era and the whisky selection is so extensive, I can't imagine a better one elsewhere in the Highlands. Staff are a bit too cold for my comfort but they certainly will look after you.
