Fantastic Spanish language school (among other languages) in the city centre. Good people working there and teachers are good. They have specific programs with quality teaching. Great if you are there for couple of weeks. They have new classes every Monday. Good memories.

I am 57 years old, married with children and have done different stays abroad to improve English through International House. I can tell you I'm really happy. From the organization in Barcelona to the centers of the cities where I have been. I highly recommend it. For me it is my little vacation that I take to be with myself, to know closely the customs, the people and the environment, and also, as I said before, to improve the language.
I took the Cambridge CELTA at IH Barcelona in January 2018 and cannot recommend it highly enough. Highly experienced teaching staff with a wealth of knowledge to share with you (not to mention some great stories about their own experiences as EFL teachers).
The support offered by the department is fantastic and you will learn a great deal during the course. They also provide invaluable advice on finding and securing work, as well as help with CVs/resumes. Even after graduation you re still very much a part of the IH family and they will help you as much as they can. I finished my course in February, which is a notoriously dry period for finding work in the teaching sector; however, within ten days of finishing the course I had four job offers and am now working full-time for one of the best language schools in the area.
Finally, I have to say that the support staff of the school also deserve a mention - especially the ladies who work in the bar (they re always smiling, the coffee s great and Beatriz is a great singer!).
I am an international student from China. By the end of last month, I had studied Spanish for nearly nine months. It is not an exaggeration to say: In the past nine months, I have felt that I am progressing at a speed that is visible to the naked eye every day. From the beginning, I was almost ignorant, and now I can talk to the "foreigners" without any obstacles. I naturally worked hard in the middle, but I am more fortunate that I chose a good school. In fact, before I decided to sign up for IH, I have not made comparisons. I honestly say that Barcelona s language correspondence schools do not only have this one. There are Chinese language schools for Chinese students, and there are also various Spanish-speaking schools. Private schools, as well as Western language courses offered by the municipal government for various non-Spanish immigrants. But I finally chose IH, and I believe that you will make the same choice after careful consideration. Reasonable class schedule, professional instructor (I want to explain this point specifically: I can't just find a Spanish native to be a Spanish teacher. As far as I know, there are many other schools. Teachers are not professional, and professional teachers can not only give us more standardized guidance in grammar, but also the quality of educational psychology is not comparable to amateur teachers.) Scientific normative management, these are my So the reason for choosing this school. The language was originally a carrier, and at IH, she carried far more than we expected: we not only learned about the history and culture of Spain and South America by learning Spanish, but also because the students in a class usually come from the world. In different corners, Spanish has also become a tool for us to communicate with each other. Imagine: When your Russian companion introduces you to the local customs of his hometown in Spanish, when you introduce the dumplings of Shanghai and the roast ducks of Beijing to the children of Senegal in the same class...Spanish This is not just the tool we use to learn about Spain. And this wonderful experience, you can't experience it in the Spanish classes that Chinese people run. This experience of learning has given me a lot of friends from all over the world. I have learned a lot from them and broadened my horizons from different beliefs and different values. Finally, I still can't help but want to praise IH's teachers again. I have the honor to realize "IH" for 9 months. Most of the teachers in Barcelona, although they have different styles, each one is so approachable and so good! It is a lifetime of wealth for me to meet such a group of outstanding people at the age of twenty.
Lovely souvenirs with the CELTA course. I owe much of respect to all the people who taught me, listened to me, and helped me in every step of that intensive course. Some of the colleagues with whom I worked became my friends now; we still communicate and help each other. Barcelona is really beautiful and the people I met are hospitable and funny. I was accommodated in a nice flat and the landlady was really nice. I had no problem finding a restaurant near this place. The food is Ok and the prices are acceptable. I totally recommend this place!
Thanks to centers such as IH, learning English is enjoyable, motivating and productive. Much of this success is due to the enthusiasm and professionalism of some teachers who, with their help, make learning this language easy. The flexibility of the groups, as well as the non-requirement to pass exams of some courses (as is my case), allows to continue progressing without the obligation that such tests entail. I had never before opted for this modality. I would also like to congratulate the two administrative reception for their good work and kindness at all times. My experience with English teaching centers is long, but as IH so adapted to the needs of each student and so efficient, it is difficult to find another.
I did the IELTS here and it was all very well organized. Negative note is that the table where I took the exam is quite dirty, but I don't give it much importance
The people were very professional. Also with excellent attention! I want to thank especially Bob who knew how to guide me with patience. I came to this school to take the ielts exam. When you enroll, they give you free access to some online modules, which for me were key in my preparation. I managed to get the grade I needed and even a little more! However, thinking that the intensive one week course would help me more in my preparation I also took it. The best thing about the course was that they gave you the study book for the ielts (which you can buy on Amazon for a fraction of the price of the aforementioned intensive one-week course) also the tutor shared some online tools to practice especially the written parts and the interaction with other students was also encouraging. However, if you know that your level of English is not so basic and you want to save a couple of euros, I recommend you better buy the book online and watch many tutorials on YouTube. In the end, with all the positive and not so positive, IH Barcelona helped me in my study process for the ielts and not only achieve but also exceed my goals.
I chose IH Barcelona to do my CELTA certification course - overall great experience, the tutors were really helpful and supportive, the staff nice.. No complaints as far as people are concerned, the facilities were a bit disappointing though. The projector in our classroom didn't work well, the room was a bit small and hot, no interactive whiteboards.. overall some interior renovation would be nice, too.
I had a really fantastic time at IH Barcelona - my teacher Geni was so friendly, helpful and cheerful, and it was great to make friends with other students from across the world. It is a lovely school with a great atmosphere in the most amazing city in Europe!
Very good teachers, reduced groups of different levels and schedules and a course called flexEnglish of two weekly hours in one day and recoverable in another hour group where you practice speaking on a different topic every week. I am doing this course and I really like it.
New to the IH school and after different experiences I have found a place where studying English is a rewarding experience with a teacher who cares about doing the fun, relaxed classes and in which time you fly, Fantastic. Special recommendation for seniors.
I did my CELTA course at IH Barcelona, and I can attest to the professionalism, support and kindness of teacher trainers and staff alike. It has been an excellent experience that I highly recommend to anyone who's thinking about becoming an EFL teacher.
IH is a friendly and welcoming learning environment for all ages and nationalities. I did a CELTA course there in 2017 and it was such a positive experience. Tutors guided us every step of the way with endless support and advice. For somebody like myself, a mum who had not been in a classroom for years, I would thoroughly recommend the experience.
I took the CELTA intensive course in IH Barcelona last November. All the teachers and personnel were very dedicated and professional. Even though the intensive course IS demanding, I felt that my skills improved significally, and the school provided a rich contact network that allowed me to quickly find a job.
A great experience with International House Barcelona, 100% recommendable! Although the course is really intensive and constructive, it is worth the effort. Thanks to the tutors Catherine, Philippa and Ben for their help and guidance.
I attended a Cambridge CELTA course at IH in April and it was great experience. I completed the intensive 4 week course and it is genuinely intensive but the value you get from the course is immense. The tutors at IH provide a lot of guidance and support you all the way through which is a great help considering the pace of the course. I highly recommend IH Barcelona for CELTA and the support the tutors continue to give following completion of the course.
Definitely worth the investment! You will get job offers with this CELTA. Best part, though, is the friends and contacts you make during this experience. The staff at International House are super supportive, and they re eager to know what happens to you after CELTA. It s a unique interest in the students who take this course that makes International House stand out. The location of the school is superb, everything you need during break is out the door. The school lets in so much natural light that the hours of class time do pass. The course tutors are brilliant, they know their stuff, they re fair, and they genuinely care about your success in the course. I highly recommend if you want to take the CELTA, take it at International House!
An incredible experience taking the CELTA course. The entire staff and the school are so welcoming, the tutors are so knowledgeable, and the reputation of the school upholds. Everyone in the ESL world seems to be aware of the quality that International House provides. Couldn't be happier!
I completed the CELTA course at IH in Feb 2018 and would highly recommend it. I had a very good time there helped by excellent tutors who were extremely supportive and did all they could to make our experience a positive one, right from the first day. The structure of the course offers a mix of highly relevant input sessions and hands-on teaching practice. I finished the course with lots of fond memories and new friends.
Don't go here. Bad service and bad method of learning Spanish. Don't waste your money here. They let you rent books and they don't give your money back. It's too expensive for what you get and the employees are not helpful.
It was an extremely well-run course. Although it got prety hectic at the end, I enjoyed it very much. The tutors were extremely efficient and responded to emails very quickly. International House is a great place to take your CELTA course, however you choose to study for it.
You can see that IH is an international body because they are progressive and professional, unlike companies that are absorbed in the Spanish culture (think of siesta and 'everything in its time'). I take a Spanish course A1 two evenings a week at IH and I am particularly satisfied with the personal approach during classes and small classes (8-10 people). You can also go there to study quietly. The school is very flexible and is open from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM. It's a really nice place.
I had a wonderful time at International House and would really recommend the CELTA course there. The tutors were extremely supportive and did everything they could to make our experience a positive one. The structure of the course is fantastic as it offers a mix of input sessions and hands-on teaching practice. I left IH with fond memories of the course and lots of new friends.
I did the ELE course. Ask if it was convenient for me to take the course as soon as I arrived, since I have not taken a career or a previous course related to language. They told me that without problems I was going to learn a lot, but it is not true, if you have not touched anything and the last time you did grammar it was in the institute, you are behind the rhythm of the class and the classmates.
The program that they present is not fulfilled, all my colleagues and I continued waiting for the final evolution and almost a year ago ... The classes are based on the fact that you become the student and you find yourself classifying ingredients for sandwiches ... the grammatical reason for any question is not explained, which appears in the program. A lot of mention is made of the CEFR, the teaching methods and you suffer stress in the practices, which is where you at least learn something.
I can add that you learn to see the structure to teach but for this you do not need to pay the 1,300 euros that the course costs.
Doing the CELTA course in IH Barcelona was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The course itself was very challenging. But our instructors, Dragan and Liz, were absolutely fantastic and made what could have been a very difficult month, into a very enjoyable one. I probably learned more in a month there, than I did in two years of my undergraduate degree! I would highly recommend doing your CELTA in IH Barcelona. You will learn loads, make lifelong friends and, in the end, have a passport to work in and travel the world!
I have just finished a month-long CELTA training at IH Barcelona and was truly enchanted by this course. I found the staff incredibly professional, and the experience was hugely enriching. The tutors are inspiring, trainees are exposed to a variety of teaching styles within the 4 weeks of the course, and the quality of the lessons and feedback given is high. I would strongly recommend IH BCN to anyone thinking of taking this course - and despite the hard work, would do it all over again if I could!
I took the CELTA course there and it has been a great experience throughout. Friendly staff, experienced trainers and coordinators, thorough courses. Highly recommendable!
I completed the CELTA course at IH Barcelona in February 2018. I can't praise enough the support, patience and good humour of the course tutors, Dragan & Liz & the good organization of the IH staff. The course was both demanding (especially as I have family responsibilities) and stimulating. There was an excellent atmosphere with colleagues, essential as the course requires ongoing peer and self evaluation.
I took a 2 week Spanish course and a 4 week CELTA course. While I was very satisfied with the Spanish course, the CELTA course was just outstanding. Right from the outset, you could tell this was a course that was run by experts, who really cared about our success. Nobody hid from us that the course would be hard - quite the opposite. But there was a real feeling of camaraderie (that didn't happen by accident) and what made this experience all the more special was that we all succeeded together. And we learnt (and improved) a huge amount in a short time. Will always be profoundly grateful to these guys for this great experience - highly recommended.
Very satisfied with the courses taken at IH Barcelona. A center where great English teaching professionals work, both for language learning and for courses for teachers. I always end up coming back.
I did the ELE teacher training course in July 2019 and the truth is that I learned a lot. I had never given Spanish classes to a group of students but thanks to the theoretical classes and the practices, after the More
I did the blended CELTA course which I highly recommend. The tutors were great, the course is full of useful information and the whole experience was very rewarding and educational.
I study in IH for 5 more months, but today it has an impossible thing! a teacher expels my friend from class, because the girl goes to class 10min late, now only one class is forbidden to go to class 5min late. It is normal?
It has been a pleasure studying at International House :-) The lessons didn't seem typical to me because we talked a lot about current news and situations in our countries. In addition, we got to know very useful grammar and vocabulary in everyday life. This was a very pleasant and effective time.
I did the ELE teacher course in 2014 and it has been very useful for me so far. It gave me a lot of confidence when it came to teaching, especially because of the techniques of class planning and the practical relaes they offer. Now I work as a Spanish teacher abroad. If you take advantage, it's really worth it.
Loved my time here. Highly professional and a cut above the rest. Probably the only centre in Barcelona where you'll learn from some of the leading people in the field; published authors, well known conference speakers, etc.Highly recommended.
I had obtained my CELTA after one month course in International House in Barcelona, and I think it's the perfect place for such trainings. The tutors are very excellent and serious people, and the staff is very helpful. It's indeed international because you can have many nationalities in the same group and it was like our house because I felt like I was home, and never homesick.
Firstly, I was enrolled for individual English lessons. I paid for all the classes as the schedule of doing them in about 2 months was accepted. I took almost 7 months to take most of the lessons. I have been totally ignored by the school, my lessons were often cancelled just day before or I have been waiting for a confirmation for several days or even weeks. This is ridiculous how the customer can be treated. I had 1h left to do, but after postponing it by the school, no answering to my messages and ignoring me at all for almost 4 weeks I wanted just my money back for the left time. They agreed for the return but of course they haven t transferred money yet and they are consequently ignoring me. My experience with them is the worst I had with language school ever. I would rather discourage you to go there.
It is my favorite school. Here I started working and learning English more than 10 years ago and I have a great memory of each of the teachers I have had during this time.
Over the course of 3 years I have tried 3 different Spanish schools in Barcelona, all 3 with high ratings on Google. International House was by far the best in every respect. Customer service, teaching, accommodation, all excellent and with good attention to detail. I really felt like I improved my Spanish a lot and that they were concerned about my personal progress, which is not something I felt at the other schools.
I cannot recommend enough ! Awesome ! Completed the intensive CELTA course in July. The tutors were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind and extremely supportive throughout. The course is intensive, but was really well structured and organized. We learnt a great deal in a really fun and open environment. I genuinely consider it a privilege to have completed the course in International House Barcelona and fully understand why it is so highly regarded. A special thank you to Dragan, Gabby and Sam for their continued support through this incredible experience and of course to the wonderful ladies in the cafeteria, for making us feel like one big family. Finally a special thank you to Roger for interviewing me and allowing me the opportunity to join the course in the first place. If you are considering attending any course in International House, my advice would be to go for it. A truly remarkable team of people.
I made a 3-week-language course in Barcelona. After a (written and oral) test on Monday I was able to go to my referred class. The classes are small with max. 10 pupils in my case. The class was a very good mix - from young to seniors from all around the globe. I chose the International House in Barcelona because of its international mix of students - so you don't slip with other students into your 'mothertongue' - and you also learn about the different cultures.
Bottom line: Very recommendable - I will be back! :)
P.S.: One person mentioned here that the teachers have been disrespectful against Asian pupils - I can't more disagree. The teachers have been very respectful to the Korean, Chinese and Japanese pupils I had in my class.
I did the CELTA course a couple of months ago in IH Barcelona and I can only say it has been one of my best experiences with regard to learning how to teach. I am currently working in IH Bratislava, and believe it or not, I got the job right after doing the course. So, it is a competitive certificate what you finally get, and you really acquire the skills and knowledge needed to start a teaching-English-as-a-foreign-language career.
I am writing this down on the website because I was asked if I would like to do so, and I definitely said yes. I would not be doing so if I thought the course was not worth the monez and time.
Roger and the rest of the training staff were extremely professional, informative and very engaging. I walked away from both training courses with useful and realistic ideas, positive reinforcement and the feeling that I was prepared and empowered to be a better ESL professional. Thank you International House team!!
The course was great. I met very nice and different people. Tutors were great. Their observations were excellent, they did a great job, being critical but at the same time very engaged and efficient. And Barcelona is as well a great place to do the course. Cosmopolitan, open-minded people. Everybody fits there! Don't be afraid of doing the course in Barcelona. Although you won't find a lot of people speaking english outside, don't worry. The positive about is, that you can practice 2 languages at the same time. You will have fun!
Best Spanish school in Barcelona, the teachers are very creative. I spent here 9 months, started from level A1 to B2, and today is my last day here :(.
Thanks to my teachers who taught me and all the workers in the school. And I don't forget the waitresses, they are the best ones: D
Doing the CELTA course at IH BCN was one of the best decisions I ever made. Sam, Dragan and Liz were all super teachers and total professionals. Be it helping myself or my fellow soon-to-be teachers, they were all super approachable and helpful in guiding us through the course. I could not recommend doing the CELTA course at IH BCN enough, it was an intensive but fully rewarding experience. Thanks again Sam, Dragan and Liz!
The reception workers would have to change. I don't talk about all of them but a lady who attended to me was in bad milk. I felt like I was bothering her, she gave me her information papers and I didn't want to explain anything. I had to get the information from her. Very unpleasant. I left wanting to find another school. Maybe this is not bad but with the treatment received because I felt like it.
P.S. For the answer here, I raised the stars, thanks
Excellent location with very well prepared staff. The teachers really care about their students and will go the extra mile in order to make sure everyone in the class understands. I had a really fun time here and truly learned a lot. I definitely recommend this place if you want to learn Spanish.
Poorly trained instructors who do little more than follow the text book. Over half the students dropped out of the class because the instructor had poor training.
The Spanish course for the Barcelona course is in my opinion the best method of polish. It is known Barcelona !!!
Language courses that are organized in Poland are often not effective because between classes we do not have to use a foreign language, we only speak Polish, which is different when we are on a course abroad and the participants are people from different countries.
At the International House in Barcelona, the standard intensive Spanish course includes 20 lessons per week. Teachers are very well prepared for classes and also for working with students of various levels. In addition, you can see that they like their work and treat it more as a passion. The qualifying test takes place on the first day of the course, based on which the participant is assigned to the appropriate group. All materials are available free of charge and we can additionally use the library. Learning takes place from Monday to Friday. On weekends and also on weekdays, extracurricular activities are organized, such as a guided tour of Barcelona. Which was a big plus for me, the school is located 5 minutes walk from the Finger of Catalonia, so right after class we can arrange a trip to the city with new friends on the course :)
It is known that the longer the trip, the more you can learn. I participated in the course for 1 month and it gave me a lot!
High-end language school, very professional, serious teachers (mine was a Cambridge examiner). Very different from 'neighborhood schools' in terms of quality of teaching.
I took the Teacher Training and Director of Studies courses in July 2017. Both courses were absolutely fantastic, incredibly useful and I had a significant and positive impact on my professional life. The course tutor, Roger Hunt, was outstanding and I can not recommend these courses enough! Excellent!
I have done the ELE teacher training course in July 2019 and I can say that it is 100% recommended. At the beginning I had doubts because the price was an effort but I must say that it is money that I now consider very well invested: the teachers, the pedagogical method, the students for the practical classes and my classmates have all been great help. I have learned to teach to plan and evaluate and in record time they have given me the basis to start a profession.
I just completed my CELTA training at International House, Barcelona. It was a wonderful experience, and I feel very prepared to teach English as a foreign language. Our tutors were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, my CELTA colleagues were smart and passionate about the field, and our own English language students were fun, friendly, and committed. In addition, IH Barcelona is filled with kind, helpful, and interesting people from around the world. If you are interested in teaching English as a foreign language, I highly recommend the CELTA program at IH Barcelona.
I've taken te CELTA course in International House Barcelona. In my case it was the Blended course which means you do most of the course online with the tutors' support and you go to the school once a week, on Fridays, to teach and observe experienced teachers and other trainees. I must say I suffered nearly as much as I learned, no pain no gain as they say.. The tutors and the coordinating team are very professional. They push you but don't squeeze you and at the end of the three months that sometimes feel like three years you realize it was worthwile.
Great school and lovely staff. They teach all levels of English and Spanish and the teachers as well as the tutors are very supportive and encouraging. I did my CELTA my and ELE course here and both of them were very useful and challenging. Study to become an English and Spanish teacher here was a great experience for me. I highly recommend this school!
Before finally choosing IH Barcelona, I had visited various other schools in Barcelona and its metropolitan area. This school met my requirements: location, experience, prestige, top quality teaching and good facilities.
Dorota Stachowiak I did my 4-week CELTA with IHB in November 2017 and will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to teach English, needs to qualify and is ready for an ultimate challenge. Put your life aside, go to Barcelona and do it there!!! Great place, lovely atmosphere, we were with Liz and Dragan and I just lack words to express how professional, friendly, caring and supportive they were. Also, the staff in the administration office, library, internet room, cute little bar. And my mates and students whom we were teaching; when it comes to learning, it's all about people and this place is just amazing!
Learning a language is a long-term and arduous task, which should be based on constant and significant development. I was attending many language courses and every time they were a bit overrated and failed to live up to my expectations. I can honestly say that it wasn t the case in International House. Actually, it was just the other way around- I had the pleasure to attend one of the most exquisite Spanish course ever. During my Spanish course I was feeling as if it was especially designed for me. It gave me everything I needed or wanted to know about Spanish over only a month. So what were all these things that made that experience so special? In my opinion the most significant factor determining the development of a given branch of knowledge is the attitude of teacher towards his students. Needles to say, IH gather together excellent teacher staff. While attending my Spanish classes, I had many teachers and each one of them had considerable experience of teaching over many years. Each of them was also extremely helpful and provided me with a wide range of explanations. During my course I had many questions and there was always someone to satisfy my thirst for grammar knowledge or to help me enrich and enlarge my vocabulary. The focus was always put on the use of words in every day context and lots of examples were attached to the theory teaching. Each time we were also given the occasions to consolidate the information we had gotten in previous class. While participating at the course, I had also the chance to get to know amazing people from all over the world. But the most important thing is that my Spanish had improved to such a degree that I was forced to move to the most advanced Spanish group at my university. Well, I think that the facts speak for themselves. I will definitely try to come back next summer to take another Spanish course.
I loved my time at IH Barcelona doing my CELTA. It was an immensely intense but rewarding experience and opened my eyes to a brand new career path. The tutors were fantastic and super supportive and I met some amazing people on my course. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone considering a TEFL qualification.
I recently completed the Cambridge Celta intensive course at International House, Barcelona. It was indeed extremely Intensive and I would advise anyone embarking on it to do as I did and cancel life as you know it for a month. Its worth it. The course is professional, thorough and without doubt equips you with the basic skills, tools and confidence necessary to begin teaching English immediately. Its fun too and you will meet some great people!
I have hired some summer camps with them. They have changed the hotel from Andorra to Lleida and nobody has told us. We found out the same day the camp started by speaking directly with the camp. The camp tells me that they knew it 1 month ago. A disaster ... we had reservations made in Andorra for ourselves and we have lost everything. I still wait for your apologies ... would you repeat ?? NOT ROTUNDO !!
I took part in a 8-session Teacher Training Workshop Series lead by Roger Hunt. Not only was the content interesting, practice-relevant and research-based, but Roger Hunt also pulled off the most professional differentiation I have ever witnessed in my life as a teacher (...and it's been a few years). He managed to make each workshop relevant to ALL participants regardless of their previous experience, and we all left enriched, motivated, and inspired every single time. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Teacher Training Workshop Series to any fellow teacher who is interested in improving, re-exploring, or fine-tuning his/her current teaching skills.
I think the Flexperience course is a good idea. Classes are very dynamic and varied. The conversation is the main activity, but also they work reading, listening and writing. It is really very fulfilled. I also think it is very positive to change the class day, if any week you are interested. So, if you want, do not lose a single class. Highly recommended
All the English courses I have done at the International House have been very helpful. Now I'm at level C1 of the Flexperience courses and it's great for flexibility and variety of topics!
I recently completed the CELTA teacher training course at IH Barcelona and I was very impressed with the quality of their teacher training and support. I was able to get real teaching practice with real students, and I got excellent feedback from my instructors. IH Barcelona also provides access to job postings and 1-to-1 feedback about job hunting and CV's. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a certification.
As expected, very informative and practical course that makes me feel much more confident about teaching, despite extensive teaching experience prior to the course. Tutors were diligent and supportive, as were my international classmates. International House's location is excellent but the facilities could be improved.
I've just completed six weeks intensive Spanish beginners class and it has been a great experience. The teaching is very good and Barcelona is a fine city to tour round and view. All the staff here are really helpful. Saludos!
Hard work but completely worth it. The teachers could not have been more supportive. I would recommend it to anyone considering a career in teaching English.
I called 3 times to get an electronic invoice for the exam I did with them, there's no way ... First they tell me they'll call me, then they give me all my information telling me to send it to me and after 5 days I have not received anything. When I did the exam, all the staff showed an impeccable attitude professionally speaking, maybe even forced, if the exam starts at quarter and second up or second down. Administratively I have to say that the professionalism they showed has fallen well low. A pity because making an invoice is something quick and simple ...
I was studying the CELTA course and they were really amazing. The classes had great teachers and I got a lot of practical experience . Any problems you may have during the course they are really supportive and will help you the best they can.
I have taken the four weeks CELTA course last September, it is a super intensive course, for a month I was totally immersed, my life was CELTA!! Even though it has been a great experience, I have learnt how to teach English language in a pleasant and communicative way. The teachers and the staff at IH are very friendly and helpful. The school is well equipped and has a nice atmosphere. Moreover, most of us found a job after the course. Certainly, it was the right choice.
I took a 4 week CELTA course in July and I can safely say it was the most enriching experience of my life. Having done a lot of reading about the course beforehand I had all the reasons to believe that I was in for something emotionally and mentally draining. However very few people online mention the amount of support you receive from your tutors and the incredible bond you share with your fellow coursemates which makes the hard work and all the nights spent overthinking your lesson plan absolutely worth it. IH welcomed all of us trainees providing a safe and convivial platform where we felt empowered to embrace the challenge with enthusiasm and a great sense of collaboration. I feel very lucky to have been able to rely on this amazing community and I highly recommend anyone take a course with this school.
Excellent CELTA course- staff are very supportive, patient, knowledgeable and generous with their time. Very well organised program and a great location too!
The course far exceeded my expectations. I have learned useful and effective tools for teaching and additionally I have improved my speaking by being 100% in contact with English during the 4 weeks of the course. I am currently applying the methodology to the Occupational Hazards classes in English and the tools are downright useful, they make the classes much more collaborative and fun. It is the best investment I have made in a long time.
I want to say thank you very much to all the people who work in the school: to my teachers, to the reception girls and to Rosario, who always helps me a lot! I miss IH and Barcelona ... Now I work as a teacher of Spanish and English. And most importantly, I passed the DELE B2 exam last year. Barcelona is a very special city for me. I hope to return to Barcelona and IH very soon :)
