I ve been here three weeks and I can honestly say that IAFT is definitely a great school. The mentors are very experienced and they re always willing to help out. The education is very hands on and in a span of three weeks, I learned more about film than I did in one semester in college.

It's really went downhill from what I've understood. The equipment they show in their promo videos for the filmmaking course isn't what is actually used at the school. Air Conditioning doesn't work in the student breakroom, students aren't able to get adequate internet access to use for research and study purposes. Recommend looking at other film schools, especially if you're VA where they charge almost twice the normal tuition vs a local student.
As someone who had close to no knowledge about film when I first got to IAFT, I am happy to state that I have learned a lot and feel confident that I will be able to apply the the skills I have acquired after I have left the school. As well as that I can honestly state that IAFT is good learning environment with educators who are learned in the field and work hard to pass on as much of their knowledge in the limited time span.
Having the time of my life! The mentors are very keen yet approachable and encouraging, the staff and admin are very accommodating and the overall curriculum is brilliant!
The International Academy of Film and Television was the very first acting school I went to.. and I think I've been totally spoiled in that regard. ALEX MURPHY is an incredible mentor- he really listens, understands, and most of all, he really does care about his students! His teaching style has helped me grow immensely both as an actor and as a person.
I originally thought I'd try one session and "see how it went." That was the tip of the iceberg- I was hooked and learned so much that I stuck with it, and now 7 months later, I find that I'm still learning by leaps and bounds every week. ALEX MURPHY is honest with each of his students and tells them exactly what they need to know to move forward with their work.
I realize that in the grand scheme of things I am still very much a beginner and have lots to learn, but thanks to Alex's class, I now have a safe place to learn, make mistakes (c'mon we all make them), and enjoy the process of acting. I also have a family of incredibly talented and supportive actors who I regularly see at auditions locally, and classes. His past students have accomplished so much in Film/TV yet remain so humble and real.
If you're interested in auditioning well, being honest in your acting, knowing how to market yourself, and ultimately booking the job, IAFT will help get you there. If not, then why are you reading this? :)
It is one of the most remarkable film schools in the Philippines, everything you want to learn about filmmaking is here. At the same time, the school gives you the freedom and opportunity to enhance your creativity and visual foresight by applying what you have learned from class up to the actual filmmaking projects whether it'd be screenwriting, producing, cinematography visual effects, acting and directing.
The Best. Even if it's not what you're gonna be, it's gonna be what you're gonna get if your heart's in the right place. The diverse community of mentors, fellow students, and alumni you'll find here are simply wonderful and will not fail to give you a roller-coaster ride throughout your time here and after. Ever since I came here, I have learned so much about the various skills necessary and then some, to the merit of our many talented mentors who make studying here a truly unique experience.
IAFT not only brings out the best out of film makers but it also serves as a stepping stone towards the real life after school, it gives us a first hand experience on how to avoid the Dont's and to be able to make the Do's. In short, IAFT is what film makers, acting students would dream of.
IAFT is one of the best film school in the world. The staff are friendly and can be trusted. The mentors are well versed on their subjects and really express their desire for us to be the best. The security guards are strict but ultimately they're friendly and are considerate. Overall, if you want to study film / acting or animation, IAFT will bring out the best in you without wasting your time. I am glad I found out about this school and didn't waste my time studying film in another school which would've just taught me to be the craft table manager.
It is my best learning experience at all. It is the best film School in the philippines. that provides and teaches the student a hollywood classic films excellent!!
