Personalized service and the staff very attentive ...
Personalized service and the staff very attentive to the needs of the guests. Small lunch excellent.
Personalized service and the staff very attentive to the needs of the guests. Small lunch excellent.
the location is very good and staffs are nice, but the room is so tiny.. (not enough space to put my luggages)
Good location. Too xpensive for the level of room and service. We are paying 250 per night when nearby you can find very good hotel and saving up to 100 per night. For 250 they don t even give complementary bottle of water. Bathroom is very small. Bed quality is on average, I have seen much better. No amenities at all. Normal breakfast, but plate very often almost empty, for 2 fried egged I waited 30 minutes. Honestly we should pay much less.
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the metro, 28 and 15 to go to Belem. The rooms are not very spacious, but clean and complete with everything. Excellent welcome from the staff. Ana speaks Italian which never hurts.
excellent service and location, excellent breakfast, small room (unless you pay for a larger) but very well furnished, great linens, nice shower, fridge. highly recommend!
Excellent service, wonderful decor, extraordinary comfort!
The location is perfect, just across the beautiful square from Rossio, with everything you need around and close by, restaurants, bars, shops, culture, etc.
Excellent hotel at a great price!
Ratio 10
Hotel above expectations ...
this hotel should be awarded for world smallest room size. Rooms size is as good as an almirah.
Beware, They will penlize for using coffee machine.
Rooms are on the smaller side by North American standards, but they're really nice. What's nicer is the staff. Incredibly helpful and always cheerful. Will definitely stay here again.
In a difficult time, of my Life, the International Design Hotel, was Wonderful. A hotel, Quiet, Joyful and Fun, with an Excellent Decoration, that rejoices, anyone, from the rug: "I want to meet you." The professionals, are Marvelous. As soon as I entered the second day of my stay, immediately a very attentive professional, commented on what I had chosen the day before to prepare the "Express". The rooms are intimate, and well appointed. At the door, when we do not want to be disturbed, put it if: "Get lost" Wonderful. Welcome willing. Impeccable cleanliness. I will return, and I strongly advise you to stop by this Friendly Hotel. Thank you very much EVERYONE.
Great location, avant-garde decor and professionalism.
TRAVELER BEWARE!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!
We checked into the internacional Design Hotel only to be disappointed after spending a lot of extra money requesting a Rossio Square view. We were directed to a fourth floor attic like room with window facing another building. See my photos for their supposed square view. No solution other than another room with a similar view of a nearby store was proposed. The manager on staff was unwilling to do anything else so we have to turn on our international roaming so the general manager can call us at 11am at their convenience.
We waited for the call all day and never got one. When we returned to the hotel to speak with the general manager, we got an arrogant, unapologetic, interrupting individual who showed us his one attempt to call us when we were waiting in the lobby for him. Probably just put it in his phone to make it seem like he was trying. So from 11am to 5:30pm, manager had not acknowledged our situation. He was quick to say we were constantly mistaken, that he has years and years of hospitality experience (irrelevant in this situation especially considering how rude he was) and how we were aggressive to his staff (whom we apologized to but never had him apologize to us genuinely). He did not offer anything and was extremely hostile. As a local guide and traveller, I have never come across such terrible behavior before. The attitude was very much that they did "not care about bad reviews". Use that as a caution not to stay here because if you are that one person having an issue, tough luck because they won't mind your one poor review.
I cannot recommend this hotel at all. In fact, bathrooms are old, hotel has zero amenities or nearby reasonably priced parking, restaurant is mediocre at best and the breakfast buffet was regularly running out of items. For the hefty price tag per night, I'd say look elsewhere and don't waste your money here especially considering the staff will do nothing to help you out. Read some other reviews as well, you will find similar themes of the hostile and terrible general management of this hotel.
STAY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!
This hotel was AMAZING. Location was incredible. The staff was fun and knowledgeable. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous European spread. Very cheeky, swank place. LOVED it.
Beautiful hotel, each floor with a decoration pattern, fragrant and noisy background. Kind staff, great breakfast. Perfect location.
Best breakfast I have had this year and that includes other 5 star places in and out of portugal
Great hotel with a great location. All means of public transport as well as sightseeing leave from within 100m of this place. Very lively places around at night as well.
Staff available and ready to provide any information and help, very good breakfast with attentive dining room staff.
Centrally located structure close to all points of interest located in the center on foot.
A few meters from public transport to reach other areas of the city.
Large and comfortable rooms.
We stayed in a fantastic corner room with balconies overlooking both Rossio Square and the hustle and bustle of Rua Augusta. Our floor had the Zen Experience theme which had the loveliest smell!
The room itself is spacious and luxurious with a separate corner fitted with a sofa, the mini bar and a Nespresso coffee machine.
The bathroom and amenities were classy and the jetted bathtub filled with bubbles was an absolute treat!
Modern environment with a beautiful style. Centralissimo
Excellent location. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful young staff. Cute decor--maybe too cute for some. Fine shower and air conditioning. BUT: hilariously small rooms (check the website for dimensions), esp. by North American standards, and North Americans clearly are the target clientele. Terrible lighting. And tiny little toiletries. So: 'way overpriced, by a third, and especially regrettable in a city and country that badly need tourist dollars/euros/pounds.
Amazing hotel right in the center of Lisbon! Got upgraded via Expedia to the breakfast and it was the best hotel breakfast spread I ve ever seen. Fresh eggs ( not runny),plus a wide assortment of fresh fruits and veggies, and patries. Plus free mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice! The room was clean and the staff checked on us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
The hotel located at the heart of Lisbon's downtown. Rooms are cozy small and comfortably warm.
The fragrant sprinkles were so terrible that it was not the worst for the guests.
Very beautiful facade and a very creative and modern interior! Breakfast can be improved. The very friendly staffs. I would go back
The rooms are nice and the staff are extremely helpful. It's in a perfect location and has lots of cool things to see nearby
Good location.
Service and friendliness at breakfast can be improved.
'Design' should also be functional, unfortunately it was missing too often.
Overall for the price too little ...
Great service, clean rooms and a nice, centrally located and modern hotel. Fantastic breakfast in a cool restaurant! High quality L'Occitane products in the bathroom, and the rooms are quiet at night, even with the windows open.
Great hotel, nice staff, small room but still good
Excellent location and very good staff! We enjoy it very much!
Excellent in both service and rooms. Ideal location. The excellent restaurant, an explosion of flavors and aromas.
Great / fantastic location. Friendly and efficient staff training hard. The "design" concept is over-done. The attempt to make this place unique creates unnecessary visual noise that takes away from the experience. Each floor has its own theme that comes with distinct smell...can be a bit annoying when you are coming back after a day outside. This is a solid 3 star option. I would still consider the place if I came back as the location cannot be any better.
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Absolutely perfect location, super friendly and helpful staff, great size rooms, everything you need in rooms. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend. All transport links are available on the doorstep (the aerobus drops off and picks up from the square outside the hotel).
Simple and very expensive, no charme for the high price.
Spacious room, clean clean. Rich breakfast, cute and prompt staff at whatever you ask!
Great location, perfect hotel, great breakfast, efficient and friendly staff
A small but very clean and stylish hotel. Above all, it was fun to take a walk around the center within walking distance.
Lovely hotel in the center of old Lisbon. Beautiful location with shops all around. The hotel has a lovely garden seating area, cute dining, cozy rooms, and helpful staff.
It is somewhat like a motel exterior but not bad for 2-3 nights. Accessibility is the highest level.
GREAT central location, surprisingly quiet rooms (the windows block out the outside noise VERY well), WONDERFULLY HELPFUL staff, great artsy and 'cute' decour, although our bathroom fixtures could use some DIY repair and fine-tuning.
Very well placed
Perfect
The hotel is closed. money
I was debited anyway. Check in was not possible
Perfect kitchen, bar, position and space and comfort room
Stayed here for four nights, staff were friendly and rooms were very clean.
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel in 4 years. The staff are attentive, cheerful and helpful--mostly. Some need better training.
The room we had was small. The bathroom was small too. There was only one hook to hang anything in the bathroom. There is a derelict building right in front of the hotel. This has been tarted up since our 2015 visit, so it doesn't look so off-putting anymore. The mattress was not that great. There was a good-sized TV with many channels, and the aircon, showers etc worked ok. There was a safe and a Nespresso machine in the room. There is free WiFi--although free WiFi is now standard in most hotels around the world.
The shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and soap had a hint of lovely herbal smells. The soap appeared to contain crushed lemon grass. The entire hotel had a gentle soothing herbal scent hanging in the air all the time. But don't get too excited; all that was in 2015. None of those delights anymore. We noticed that the balcony has deteriorated quite a bit. The putty has partially fallen off some of the glazings and the metal window frames were rusty enough to be ugly.
The hotel is in a good location, but there are many other hotels around here to pick and choose from.
It's about 150 metres from the Rossio Metro Station on the Green Line (Verde). Consequently, you could reach it in about 35 minutes from the airport for just 1.50 euros. Take the Red Line (Vermelha) from the airport and change to the Green Line at Alameda. Going back to the airport is just as quick and easy.
There is a railway station, also called Rossio, which is about 250 metres away. You can take trains from here to Sintra and Queluz. These are much-visited sites.
The Santa Justa Elevator is 150 metres away, and a nice slow 550-metre walk down Rua Augusta will take you to the beautiful Praca do Comercio through the Rua Augusta Arch.
Walk 100 metres from hotel to Praca da Figueira and catch the 15E Tram to the Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower, Discoveries Monument etc etc. You can also take the 759 bus from here to the Tile Museum.
The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, but the hotel itself has a restaurant called Bastardo. In my opinion it has gone downhill compared to 2015. The furniture is a mish mash of plastic and old wooden tables and chairs, which I found unappealing.
Overall, it's a hotel with small rooms, is in a good location, needs investment (e.g. the coffee machines in the restaurant keep breaking down every few minutes) and requires some improved operating procedures. I always emphasise the emphasis of this maxim: Caveat Emptor.
Nice hotel in the center!
Just want to say the staff are so helpful and friendly!
I would like to recommend administering more attention to detail, no horns, for footwear, a set of thread... and a bit to refresh and repair )
The Breakfast is good.
In General 4 *justify!
I am living in Switzerland but my family is from Lisbon: This is my statement for you if you are looking for a great hotel in the city best area central... and the people who work here know their job... you will feel in good hands. The restaurant is also great. You do not have to be a hotel guest to book a table in the Restaurant (excellent view, great dishes).
Very well located, exquisite treatment and personalized attention. A jewel
Very practical hotel. Perfect location for visiting Lisbon on foot.
Hotel remodeled, Small rooms.
The bathroom separated by a glass sliding door very uncomfortable and noisy. Comfortable beds
Unbeatable location ... a good breakfast and a restaurant of the category ... very careful and quality cuisine.
Very friendly staff
They do not have parking or agreement with the public parking of Plaza de Figueira which is 15 meters away, although if they had it before. The parking is advertised within its services under availability at 15 euros per day. Having no agreement costs 35 euros a day. Serious error under my point of view. Very friendly staff and great location, but if you go with a car I do not recommend it
All very renovated. The receptionist, a young black guy, very friendly explains everything in detail, advises you places to go and offers if you want to ask him anything. The room a bit fair in size but everything else perfect. The taxi that will pick you up at the airport is also perfect and luxurious.
Hotel is located in the City Center of Lisbon. The most (nearly all) points of interest can be reached on foot. The Staff is always very attentive, polite and helpful! Absolutely great!! Hotel is very modern, clean and well maintained. More
Did not stay there. But the receptionists were very helpful in printing important documents. For that a big compliment.
This hotel is located in the center of Lisboa. Very friendly staffs.
It was right in the center of Lisbon, right on Hoshi station and the staff were friendly.
The concept of the floor is different design hotel, bathroom accessories are good, and capsule nespresso is also provided.
The International Design Hotel surprised us very positively. We got there at 10am, did the check-in. A lady then explained to us for 10 minutes what was where and which line we should take. She also responded to our wishes and gave a few tips. It was really great. In the evening at 5 p.m. we were able to go straight to the room where our luggage was already there. Was great. The room faced the inner courtyard and was great. There was even a bathtub. When we came back to the hotel after dinner, the bed was turned down, there was chocolate on it and there were some pasteis de nata on the table, which was really great ... Even the towels were new. Top.
There were also a few vouchers for the bar.
Breakfast was delicious, varied and there was a great view of the Rossio square. The staff was super friendly. From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.,
The luggage would also be stored on the day of departure.
A shortcoming give it. Both in the room and in the toilets of the restaurant, the doors are equipped with a milky glass so that you can guess what is going on behind them. In the room it was a bit strange for us as a fresh couple when you can see and hear what the other is doing in the toilet ... And in the public toilet you can see if someone is sitting on the bowl. I do not like that.
All in all a great hotel and the location is much better than the others.
Gladly again and a huge thank you to the super friendly staff.
Family boutique hotel and a warm and courteous service should be noted by the principal Liliana and responsible for the dining room Diego Restaurant excellent good breakfasts excellent menu clean rooms and excellent location in the center of Lisbon near Rossio Square.
Boutique hotel with great interiors.
Good excellent location situated right smack in the middle of central. Easy to maneuvere around town area and places of interest. Excellent service given by the counter staffs (ie. Joana, Ricardo..) .
And not forgetting the view is good from the balcony in the rooms.
One plus point is also Restaurant Bastardo located in the hotel itself. They served awesome food which is a must try in my opinion.
Thumbs up!
5/5 stars
Great location - although you'll have to travel for the best restaurants and bars - this really is like staying on Leicester Square.
The hotel's small, sweet and very clean, with plenty of interesting design touches. Our room wasn't huge or massively luxurious but included a Nespresso machine, a mini-bath (I really hate it when hotel rooms don't have baths) and a balcony with a beautiful views over Rossio. Each floor has it's own design concept with zen, urban, tribe and pop - we had zen, which meant an enormous fluffy bed and a calm colour scheme.
Special points go to the breakfast - not just for the delicious, fresh food (including mini pastel de nadas, mini fruit and canapes) but for the very reasonable timings - 7-11am.
Central and cute. My room, beatiful and cozy, with a balcony that overlooked Rue d'Augusta and in front of the beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. Not a bad welcome in Lisbon.
Lovely, unique hotel. Incredibly characterful place with lots of artwork and individual style. Couldn't be more conveniently located, just off the main square and just down from the castle. The rooms had a coffee maker, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, iron etc. The buffet breakfast was superb. The staff were really polite and helpful.
hotel in the city center, two steps on foot and you are everywhere, despite this it is quiet and there are no annoying noises.
the hotel is nice and original, cozy and clean rooms, bathroom not huge but spacious and functional.
Rich and varied breakfast, courteous and helpful staff
The best location to travel.
Friendly staff.
Breakfast was tidy and delicious.
Great location, close to both nightlife and places to see.
Clean, well done bathroom, with bidet. Comfortable bed.
Very design, purple color floors with various designs.
Breakfast room overlooking the square.
Easy to reach from the airport, red and then green lines.
Five minutes from tram 28E.
Great location. Beautiful architecture. A fantastic concept. Eat, sleep and enjoy.
Very good to visit Lisbon. Beautiful decoration of the rooms. Friendly welcome. In the heart of the city
Central location in the center of the city and the perfect starting point for every city trip. Nice staff, clean rooms and nice breakfast buffet.
Terrible! I didn t stay! I paid in good faith for a room at this hotel via a booking agent they use, in January, for a June stay, and after travelling for 24 hours tired and needing a room they told me I didn t have a one! Apparently due to some miscommunication with their agent, they cancelled my booking due to no fault of mine. Consumers beware!!!
I have been 2 nights on vacation ..
The hotel is great..very clean, excellent room, very comfortable.
I want to highlight the quality, cordiality and professionalism of the reception staff.
We also had breakfast, with very good and well presented breakfasts and menus.
I do not give it 5 stars because the attention of the cafeteria staff lacked experience, with the EXCEPTION of a short but very active waitress, for her my thanks, who was the only one who seemed to have experience in the field.
A pity that happens!
Special greetings for the girls at Reception who gave us all kinds of tourist information ... very nice !!
PS: Do not forget to ask where the parking of Plaza RESTAURADORES is, if you go by car, the cheapest, 23 for a full day.
Absolutely worth the money. Happy staff, great service, good breakfast, welcome drink on the house, etc...
Superb car original: an old building very well renovated and really design. Custom floors, beautiful rooms very well equipped. A very friendly and very professional welcome. And an excellent and also original restaurant Bastardo.
Very clean room albeit small with very professional staff. In the heart of historical lisbon
