Intermountain Humane Society Review

Love this rescue, and all the wonderful ladies that work there! Me and my husband got the opportunity to adopt Miss Sadie a little over a month ago and couldn't of had a better experiance! They made the adoption process so easy, and aloud us a whole week to make sure our two babies got along well! I would recommend this rescue to anybody: amazing staff, and super affordable adoptions! Thank you again Intermountain, we couldn't imagine life without our Sadie baby!

While we are happy to have rescued our pet, there was a lot that we weren't told about regarding her health.

We took her to the same vet used by the IHS and he was concerned with their lack of follow up and disclosure.

Because of a misunderstanding they are denying my application over a miscommunication. I do understand they are all volunteers but Sandy is the most rude person I ever met and she should not be working at a place like that...

The Intermountain Human Society will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks to the way they run I found my best friend. I know this sounds like a typical response, perhaps over the top, but as a result of the best friend that I adopted from them my life has changed in nothing but amazing ways. I loved the process of adopting through them. I have worked as a Veterinary Technician for 10+ years and as a result I have worked with many animal rescues. Unfortunately many of them are either way too strict with the adoption process, or way too relaxed. Intermountain Human Society has found that perfect middle ground. They are making sure that the pets they are re-homing will have the perfect forever home while they don't scare off potential quality adopters at the same time.

The inside of their facility was very impressive and I have known many people that have found their best friends, that they never knew they needed, as a result of IMHS. I will never to be able to thank IMHS and the amazing people that run it enough for how they have enriched my life. They helped me find a dog that matched my lifestyle and here we are 4 years later and we do absolutely everything together. The Intermountain Humane Society is a staple of our community and I would adopt from them again without hesitation.

Caring place, animals get love and attention in preparation for their forever home.

I have adopted two cats here and the staff is always friendly and informative. You can tell it is important to them to place their animals in homes that are a good match. Thus, they listen well to you as you express your interests and needs, then work to find the animal that is the best fit.

I went to the newly remodeled IMHS thrift store a week ago and the transformation is amazing! I spent (I think) 2 hours there and came home with a lot of nearly new stuff! I'll be back!

Got my best bud at IMHS. The staff and volunteers really care about the animals and I was pleased to see that they review applications thoroughly to ensure the animals in their care are going to a good home and to match the right animal with the right people. They do a lot to help animals in need in our community and beyond.

I have adopted a dog and cat here and really appreciate what they do for the animals and community. My children have also volunteered walking and taking care of the animals which has allowed them to see what it is like to volunteer. Help support this great and very important part of our community!

I love this place. I go there to volunteer every week. The people are friendly and nice and the animals always find good homes.

I am often really impressed with IMHS. They work very hard to get cats and dogs placed in loving homes and go beyond normal job descriptions to do what it takes for these animals. They are so good at finding homes they often take on animals that come from other shelters that have a harder time getting people to adopt. It's a credit to the people of this region as well as IMHS volunteers and staff that so many animals find forever-homes through this organization.

Do what you can to support IMHS, through thrift store, vehicle and aluminum can donations, or spending time as a volunteer. They will appreciate your gift.
