Ingo Money is a scam operation. Half the people who gave a 5 star rating with NO writeup/review actually work at Ingo Money. In fact Drew Edwards who gave Ingo a 5 star is the CEO of the company!! nathalia guarin is another employee of Ingo Money. Do they think people are stupid?? Must be getting ready to go out of business soon.

This company is a scam. They have the SAME complaint from multiple customers and they do not address the issue. The close accounts without explanation and it is impossible to get a HUMAN on the phone. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau. This is inexcusable.

These people closed my account after trying to cash a check into my PayPal account. Cant believe PayPal associates their selves with them. Their customer service is awful, cant give me a specific reason why they wont cash my check or closed my account. After reading the reviews, I'm not sure why they are still a company. they suck pretty bad.

Well I'm an army veteran and my checking account was closed last year. I was using the ingo money app to cash my retirement check from Verizon. Been cashing it for months now with no problem at all. But when I logged in yesterday to access my account I was told by a popup that my account had been closed because I'm a high risk for their criteria. I contacted customer support and ask them why my account had been closed. They said it was due to suspicious activity. That still doesn't answer my question on exactly the problem is. Doesn't make any since to me I would just like to know, what suspicious activity. Show me. Please.

Worst banking system ever! They are partnered with PayPal and they do not live up to their promises. Why does Paypal continue to partner with bad company after bad company? Makes no sense. Get your stuff together paypal!

I've used ingo money for about four years and it worked. Recently I made the poor choice of submitting a copy of the check i was cashing. Yes, I was wrong, yet i didn't think it was that serious since it was legit. in a nutshell the check was approved and cashed on there side, but denied the transfer to my account. Now Ingo money as stolen my money and holding it hostage for what I don't know. If it cleared obviously the check isn't a fake. Now i have to hear a lawyer because the insurance company wont issue another check and they won't give me the money since it was a photo of a check. All this drama for nothing. I need a lawyer, law enforcement and the BBB. crazy!

I spent over 10 hours on the phone with them and was unable to cash a legitimate check for my non profit organization simply because I put the phone number on the check as well. Your management and customer service team suck.and thanks to you all a family in need is going with out meals right now

NEVER USE IF CARD OFFERS!!--Tried to insert via mobile check app on card issuers website. Ingo deined the transaction but has VERIFIED the funds with the check company, now I cant get the check cashed anywhere because the funds have already been verified. Now have to wait 7 days to have check voided and have new check sent to me via mail, AWFUL. I am warning you please dont use this company for large checks you need access to asap. God bless!

Dont waste your time with this company. I tried to use this service when my direct deposit was deactivated and I received a paper check. I received 3 payroll checks, I work for the government. So as we ALL know, government checks are as good as they come. This service only processed the smallest check for $114, the 2 larger checks were declined. The same signer and the same dates just different amounts. I tried several times and the reason for the decline kept changing. I finally called and someone told me she would update the verification contact info so that the funds could be verified and I should try to upload the check again. 4 times it was denied and in my opinion the only real reason is because the check was over $1000. A pure waste of time and Ingo Money if you guys are not going to cash checks over $1000, do us all a favor and get out of the check processing business!!!! Ingo is a NOGO

Waited on hold for one hour to speak to an agent- 10 days of waiting for my check to clear- it s still not there, was told it won t be deposited in my account until the exact MINUTE 10 days has been reached- Seriously. An hour on hold? Horrendous horrendous company. Will never use again. Now let s see if my check is deposited at EXACTLY 3:40 pm.

On August 28, 2020, I purchased a $50 Western Union money order with the intention of paying a bill by mail. I changed my mind and wanted to keep the funds for myself to deposit to my GreenDot card. I saw an offer from GreenDot to try Ingo for check cashing. I downloaded the app and followed the instructions. I took a photo of the front of the money order and uploaded it. I then signed the back, took a photo of the back, and uploaded it. Ingo employees indicated it was accepted and then instructed me to write VOID across the front, take a photo, and upload it. I did that. Then, without explanation, I was told the money order would not be accepted.

I called customer service and the agent investigated and embarrassingly told me that my money order was not accepted because it was made out to myself. He said he did not understand why they accepted it at first. Having worked at a bank previously, I can understand why such a money order would be rejected, but INGO SHOULD HAVE REJECTED IT BEFORE THEY TOLD ME TO VOID IT. A human being had to look at this and approve it. Now this money order is useless to me and I lost $50 due to Ingo's employee's negligence. I can return it to Western Union, but they will charge me $15 just to process it and I refuse to pay for Ingo's mistake.

I suspect I am not the only victim of Ingo's employees' negligence. If other people have experienced similar issues with Ingo app, we may need to file a class action lawsuit to stop this practice. In fact, I happen to work in the legal field and will contact a really good class action law firm I've worked with before.

I recieved an error message after trying to upload a payroll check to my NetSpend card, they took 3 days and 2 emails to respond in the first place, then, upon telling me I present a risk to the company, they told me my account was closed but they couldn't tell me what risk and they cannot re-open my account.

I'm reading all of these reviews and wondering what everyone could be doing so wrong. I was introduced to Ingo through Paypal which is what I use to handle finances for my small business. I have not had any issues that were not my own fault. The first time I used Ingo I had an issue and although I was annoyed at first because the Live Chat link on their site does not work, I just clicked on their phone number and called them. (I come from a generation where we used to use phones for PHONE calls.) I was greeted by a cust. serv. rep. in less than 3 minutes. And although she sounded like she was talking with a mouthful of marshmallows, she was friendly and helpful and my entire phone call lated less than 5 minutes. The worst part of the call was the nearly 3 minutes on hold bc there is no music or anything just a voice that repeats the same phrase, every 5 seconds, in the same annoying voice, over and over again. So I give them 3 stars for my quick and painless customer service experience thus far. They lost 1 star bc the live chat link on the site does not work and another just because I am still new and maybe I just got lucky to reach a HUMAN by telephone and have my entire issue resolve in less than 5 minuts..

The worst company I have ever had to deal with. I attempted to load a check onto my adp card, which uses ingo. I went through the process and wrote VOID on the check. They then claim my card has a restriction and the funds cannot be deposited. So I contact my card issuer and they send a new card with no restrictions. Now ingo claims the card is not in their system. They tell me to use the chat feature, and the chat person says the card is not on file and to contact my card issuer. My card issuer says the card is on file and is valid for check load through ingo. It's been a month now of ingo holding my check hostage, as I cannot cash it with VOID written on it, and I can't have a new check issued since that one was technically processed. It's not enough that they charge outrageous fees for instant transfer, at this point they are stealing my money. Avoid this company at all costs!

Don't use this company unless you can afford their...

Don't use this company unless you can afford their fees for cashing your check.

Pros: You can get your money instantaneously if you pass the verification of identity. Don't have to go to a physical bank, wait in line to deposit your check.

Cons: Length of time between when you can get your money (10 days); Fees charged to get money instantaneously; Pick and choose when to charge you 2%/5%.

Moral of the story is - I won't be using them. Two weeks ago, I deposit a payroll check, they charge me $7.35. Last week I deposit a check, this time it was $36.36. I email them to ask why such a discrepancy, and they state they charge 2% for a pre-printed signature, 5% for a handwritten signature. Makes zero sense to me. You would think a handwritten signature would carry more weight and mean more than a pre-printed signature.

Worst service ever!!!!!!!!! Will not cash my check because the don't want to "assume" the risk. They even verified that the check was good. Makes no because of them I will be discontinuing my services with Netspend. I will not let them handle my money any longer.

These people have to be stealing money from checks hardworking ppl upload. how is it that my check is approved and all i need to do is upload a pic of my check with VOID on the front and all of a sudden i get a notification saying it timed out after i position the camera to take the pic of check. SCAM FR AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NO LIVE PERSON.. I LIVE IN ATLANTA AND I WILL BE DRIVING TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN ALPHARETTA. THIEVES

No pattern to what checks they will and will not cash. I had been cashing my paycheck for almost a year and now they've denied my last 3 for a reason they refuse to tell me. Plus their fees have almost doubled since last year. I would strongly recommend not using this company.

Sad that i am not able to give it no stars. I use a Netspend card and have been trying for 2 months to use the mobile check app. Everytime i call Netspend they go over everything and say my card is in working order wih no holds. They refer me to Ingo. I have been hung up on about 6 times. I have tried the chat option on the web only to be told i have no Netspend card and they can't help me. I have loaded lots of money on this card and even used the mobile check app up until a couple of months ago and now suddenly i don't exist and they keep screwing me over.

What a joke! Was depositing a check. Followed directions and took pictures of the front and back. Sent a notice approved and to write void on front of check and send a picture. Again followed directions and was then sent an account closed notice. So now I have a check that cannot be cashed elsewhere and after many many attempts to contact someone have had no luck!

Well I didn t get notified about my check going through and then it timed out...still can t scan it...oh yeah and it s for my Alzheimer s Awareness Charity Fundraiser...so thanks for that

I honestly would only write a 1 star review anywhere if it was absolutely awful

I was #8 on the waiting list on the phone...last time I heard anything I was #3 but that was at least 17 minutes ago and haven t heard an update since then...57 minutes total so far

Like I understand how frustrating customer service can be but this is just baffling...

This is a scam company. You have been warned! Do not write void or mobile check only because no other bank will cash it, and then you are stuck with a useless check. Pay attention it's called Ingo money never to reach your hands...

I bought a Netspend card at Walmart because I am a university student who does not have a bank account. All of my former jobs have been small odd jobs that were not paid for in checks. Naturally, I never needed a card as I always had cash. However, after my first semester at university, I got my first real checks. Refund checks from the school because of extra funds from my financial aid. I am also getting a job this week. But, I must state something rather disturbing and worrisome. I have never been given a clear answer as to what I should do with problems regarding my account and the whereabouts of my personal information. Netspend was pretty straightforward. I bought the card about a month ago not realizing it was connected with Ingo Money Service. Set up was fairly easy and the people at Netspend were very helpful at first. But, then came the time to cash a check with the mobile check load. I took the initial pictures and everything was ok for about three minutes. I was excited because the amount on these checks was much higher than I had expected. My plan was to invest half in something while using the other to buy gifts for my family for the holidays. Well. That plan fell through and I was unable to do that. But, then I thought I could at least invest the majority of it now and just use a little for book fees. For two weeks, I ve been trying to make phone calls, emails, and everything else to establish communication. At first, they were helpful saying my account had been closed but they would reopen it within 48 hours. Everything is supposedly done in 48 hours. This is a lie. Anyways. I have continued to try and make phone calls and send emails. Every time I do this, I get vague answers or, the latest and greatest response was After conducting a review of the registration information and check image you provided us, we are not able to fully meet the necessary processes that comply with our standard security and regulatory requirements and as a result, cannot activate your Ingo Money account.

I had asked what I can do to reopen my account and the above was their joke of a response. I gave them my full name and he address, my social security number, and my phone number. I gave all of this and they demand even more and say I do not exist. I have $8.50 on the card that I can t use. Granted, it s not a lot. But it s been stollen. I can t use my card or move the funds. This week, I start my job. Next week, I have university again. I have no money. I have no way to access my money. I m at a loss on what to do. Ingo has stollen money from me. Despite it being only a little, it still feels insulting and humiliating to have been stollen from so easily. If they had stollen the money off of my checks , I d have called my uncle. He s a lawyer and I d have sued Ingo for all of their money and the money they stole from myself and others. This infringement and total disrespect to privacy has humiliated me and made me worried about what s happening with my personal information. Ingo money service is a negative 1000 stars. They owe the reviewers their money back. But, even then, they cannot give back the time wasted or take back the disrespect and humiliation they gave in exchange for their services.

My daughter got a letter from a collection agency saying she used Ingo to cash a check from a company in London returned check fee, it was dated a year ago apparently this is a scam company and I m not sure how they got her information, she was a minor last year by the way. Regions bank cashed it? This is crazy! Asked the collector to send me the returned check so we can get it straight.

The absolute WORST option to use for any banking/m...

The absolute WORST option to use for any banking/money need. I don't believe I've EVER left a one star (should be ZERO stars but you're forced to leave at least one in order to post!) Google reveiw before, but I am so angry right now I wanted to warn other people. I fell into trying to use Ingo money and their "easy" app for check cashing via another lame entity, Paypal. I wanted to see if there was an option to deposit money (specifically a check) into my Paypal account. I wanted to use my Paypal Mastercard to pay my bills this month. So Paypal claimed that, yes, they now offer an easy way to deposit checks into one's Paypal account. However when you proceed, you see that you're directed to a place called Ingo Money. ????? There was no alert that you'd be leaving Paypal-land, or that they had some sort of partnership. So, I downloaded the Ingo app, and attempted to take pics of front and back of check (just as you'd do on the normal apps of some banks) and they clearly state that they cash ALL types of checks such as payroll, personal, etc...wel, my check was a payment from an ebay buyer and the check was a legit, completely pre-printed check from Bank of America, for $1309. (Ingo money claims you can cash checks with a value up to $5000 as long as you don't go over $10,000 a month btw, which I have not seeing as how this was my first experieince with them) I literally tried over 12 times and each attempt was met with a a vague response and a denial. One attempt seemed to indicate they only accept personal checks that contain a pre-printed address on them. This check DID have that. Other responses just gave a code and suggested contacting their customer service. I did that....or at least tried to many, many times that day and the next day too. They never allow you to speak to a human. Never. Sometimes it's not an option....you can only press numbers 1 & 2 and neither results in an option for a human. Additionally, their suppossed "live chat" is non existent. If you go to their site on Google, you see they claim to be open or offer "support" "24 hours a day" every single day of the week. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
Oh, and IF you miraculously do happen to be approved for a check cashing, you'll be paying (unlike if you use your bank) a lot. You can wait about 10 business days for it to go through, which they claim is free, but if you need your check money now, be prepared to pay over 4% for that privilege. Before each attempt of mine was denied, I saw that they were charging me $63 to cash a normal check!!!
I've now wasted two days JUST TRYING TO CONTACT THESE MORONS. How I wish they'd go out of business or be shut down by the feds for incompetence or criminal activity resulting in jail time. There's no way this company should be allowed to function. Period. Look at ALL the bad reviews all over the internet from a variety of sources.
What good is a bank-type service that doesn't allow one to contact their customer service? Banking and money is such a sensitive topic and we all want to know our money and deposits and transactions are safe and that help is available if we run into a problem. That's just reasonable; it's common sense, right? Save yourself the wasted time and guaranteed frustration and use another, ANY OTHER, option!

So I look up the number and I call the number provided on the email that was sent to me that said my check couldn't be processed.. so I call the number and doesnt even ring. So I looked on an old email of a check that was cashed and the number provided on that email was different. So I so I called that number and and it actually went to the company so I'm going to post a picture of the number that I called that day. Hopefully this will help

Was told to upload a 3rd picture of my check with void written on it. Did what they asked and then my check was denied so now I have a check with VOID written on it that I can't cash. Tried to email and didn't get a response back in their own 24 hour response time. Tried to chat and the chat link on the website doesn't work and cannot get a hold of a representative on the phone.

My opinion is that this is a scam this is terrible that PayPal is associated with this company.Tried to deposit a check to my PayPal account took the free fee option 10day hold and it was denied and a list of Photo resolution did not match my account which it does the bottom line is I just didn t want to cash my check it s a scam and PayPal uses them Call customer service and was hung up on been with PayPal for almost 19 years now never an overdraft or anything like that I have excellent credit 790 Fico score The customer service lady was talking about risk if I just paid him the $14 and some thing I think they want to deposit my check right away this is a scam I don t know why PayPal is even associated with the scam artist this is my opinion.

I tried cashing a check 3 days ago. When it prompted me to write void on the check, I did and the app crashed. Now I have a check with void written on it and they are still unwilling to cash it. Would not recommend this company to anyone and advise Money Network to stop using them before a lawsuit arises against them.

The customer service number is an automated message that prompts you to email customer service, who in result will email you back stating that you have to call customer service. Aside from the circle of wasted time, they don't read your email message body & only go off your subject line. This is a company that handles MONEY. Scary...
