I appreciated the support from pre-to-post book launch. Indigo Team was led by a great production manager Bobby D. who guided me through the process and immediately helped to rectify any problems, including identifying the right folks within the team to assist me. When I wanted to switch editors, they took care of it. When I wanted a different person for marketing, they obliged. No publication company is perfect and you will still need to do lots of marketing on your own, but I have found the team at Indigo willing to go the extra mile to make their authors happy. The partners showed an interest in my book and we are in the works on discussing my second book as well. There s a reason they are growing - quality of service and professionalism. Keep up the great work!

As a new author I was undecided as to whether to self publish or go down the long road of finding a publisher to take a chance on a newcomer. I finally decided every new author needs a rejection slip to remain humble! So when Indigo River was recommended to me I called them. After a talk with Georgette Green at Indigo, who encouraged me to send it in and let them take a look, I did so. About a week and a half later I received a call offering to publish my book! From Day 1 I was kept in the loop regarding edits, how the process worked and more. An illustrator was found and we were on our way ~ and when the time came the layout people were top notch experts. Now my book, Pippin And The Magic Castle, is widely distributed to major retailers, in four businesses in my home town, and multiple copies will be in my library. Book signings are coming up as well. It s taken a while but when I got frustrated or impatient, Bobby Dunaway was right there, offering support and words of encouragement. As Georgette reminded me this isn t a sprint, it s a marathon, and Indigo will be in it with you. This is a reputable, highly thought of company and I was never ever pressured to put in $$$. So a word to new authors, it s not an overnight thing but with the right people to guide you, you will make it! Thanks, Indigo family for being there with me. Pippin thanks you too!

Be aware that this is a vanity press, not a traditional publisher.

They make everything sound official on their web page and when you talk to them on the phone, but near the end, they ask you to pay $8,000. They lie to authors and tell them they have to pay that money to retain the rights to their own work, and that traditional publishers will keep your rights and not give you the option to buy them. A real publisher will print your book with zero charge to you, and the author will still own all the rights.

UPDATE: The publisher's response to my review implies that I am bitter because my book wasn't accepted. That is also a lie. My book was in the process of getting approved for publication. When they started asking for money, I told them I was no longer interested.
