Parking is BS. You have to pay $8 but there is no one checking to see that people park stupid and take up 2 spaces. Limiting parking. There should be someone monitoring and writing out tickets for stupid parking.
The state fair was not what I expected was really let down was overran by food vendors and carnival workers everywhere. Thankfully it was $2 discount day because I would never pay full price for this place.
The state fair is delicious. Become an online member and you get tickets for $9 each.
Large venue, flexible enough for just about any event.
I would like to suggest a new food for the fair. How about bacon flavored popcorn.

This is by far the most disorganized fair I've ever been too. My local fair is heaven compared to this one. The parking organization was practically non-existent. People in orange vests meant to direct where someone should park, were standing around doing nothing. Practically got into a car accident trying to find a place to park, because the employees had no idea what they were doing. The fair itself was just like any other fair, nothing new compared to any other one. You'd have more fun hosting a pig rodeo in your living room.
Moving wheel chair parking and making it VIP. Bad bad idea. Then to top it off, moving wheel chair rental even further from the wheel chair parking. Food and drink prices are even more ridiculous. Out of control. I'm done. This was my last year.

Facility was clean, parking is reasonable for Indy, and the space was well-suited for the event I attended there (a food expo).
This is the worst experience I've ever had. The traffic and parking are an unimaginable nightmare. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Indiana State fair, I always enjoy taking the kiddo's see the animals and eat tons of fried food, wish there were more unique food venders
No handicapped parking left early in the day at fair, very disappointing. Please ensure more parking later in week for people who might have a little harder time than others.
The state fair is always fun! The have great junk food crapes and deep fried candy bars and so much more. The animals and venues were awesome I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good summer afternoon.

The event center is a mixed bag at best. The facilities are fine and they have some great events. However, entering and parking is a nightmare. They increased the price of parking by 60% last year and service got noticibly worse. Best avoid the fairgrounds unless you must go to one of the events.
Fair comes every year and we love it. Well , it s a fair so expect the unexpected. Plan before hand especially with little ones. Bring a little spending money for food & tickets. Water bottles , there is a place to get free water because the drinks are a little high to keep rebuying.

Disappointed, few vendors unless you want cheap sunglasses and over priced clothing. Need usable vending, bike lifts, accessories, moto vlog set ups. Venue parking and admission price is up again. I wont be back.

I love the fair grounds, lots to do and see when events are going on. The state fair is everything you want: fried food, buttered corn, and lots of grilled meat. Facilities are good from what I've seen. Parking is atrocious however. Plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early to prepare for traffic and parking trouble.

Home show was nice, but it seemed like the same stuff over and over. Last year seemed more diversified.
Before entering the State Fair, you and your property will be illegally searched. No signage or warning. Odd. I visit the State Fair grounds four time a year along with another 75,000 people during the Indy 1500 and have never had an incident. The security supervisor that stated he did not care what about the 2nd amendment needs to rethink his chosen profession. The City police and County Sheriff I spoke with were very understanding of our Constitutional Rights. Good men.
For the most part the facilities are very nice. It's a bit of a guessing game whether parking will be free or not for any given event but the grounds are well run.
It's a fun show we always enjoy. We get idea for enhancing our house and yard.
Fitness and Wellness expo was misleading. It's a health and wellness expo for the elderly.
It was a blast from food to animals to rides to the musical acts
I was disappointed that the inside-out grilled cheese sandwich was not available at The Milk Barn today. I did try their newest specialty instead, but was disappointed. Of course, the chocolate shake was delicious as always.
It's the midway point for the state fair. Its pricey but okay on 2$ Tuesdays if you dont mind the lines

Parking can be a little expensive, maybe even a little far to walk. Great place to see expos and events.
