Nice exhibition of own collection and great Basquiat exhibition

Nice exhibition of own collection and great Basquiat exhibition
A museum with original exhibitions to see regularly.
Surprising and captivating, to see if passing through with 2 hours free
Review of the exhibitions and alliance between works of recognized artists and young graduates of the fine arts.
Very nice museum. The contemporary art exhibition is very interesting
Beware of scam. As many ads as there is nothing to see, and for an expensive entry. Do not waste your time, go your way ...
I was there for a small concert and the place is very good for this kind of events.
The best contemporary art museum I have been in a very long time.
Very nice museum.
Variable satisfaction depending on the artists exhibited. ..
The year dedicated to Patrice Ch reau was
Exceptional! (I've been there 3 times!)
One of the best museums (nationally) of modern and contemporary art! As much for its permanent exhibition as for the temporary exhibitions in a place that lends itself particularly well to immersion and discovery!
An exceptional collection, temporary exhibitions, a magnificent place. At each visit, the desire to return.
Successful marriage between the classical period for the architectural setting and the modern vision for the pictorial display of the masterpieces of plastic works.
To make absolutely baskia and Picasso collection very beautiful with large formats
Mr. Lambert makes fun of us! circulate nothing to see!
Do not be discouraged by the uninteresting works of non-artists and crooks like Buren who are in the beginning. The rest of the Expo is full of immersive and elaborate creations, which pose real questions about the place of art in today's world. I particularly appreciated the works of Francesco Vezzoli. The places and spaces of the museum are sometimes as rich as the works themselves
Very sharp! A collection of contemporary art in a very beautiful space but reserved for the enlightened amateurs because very minimalist.
A very nice and original place beautiful exposure to advise
It's good
Thank you for having made a film about MARCELINE loridans ivens.
What a superb place. You have to appreciate minimal art, conceptual art, land art which represent the essence of the collection. Jean-Michel Basquiat,, Sol LeWitt, Robert Ryman, Lawrence Weiner, Nan Goldin, Christian Boltanski, or the man of the famous columns of the Palais Royal in Paris I name Daniel Buren, The collector Lambert has always had the art of daring. See also the focus on various movements of the twentieth century.
Very beautiful (and vast) museum. Several temporary exhibitions in parallel.
Even if you only appreciate Basquiat moderately the guided tour is worth the cost / blow ...
Not to be missed and also for the restaurant Violette.
Very beautiful exhibition of beautiful photos on Africa to publicize
I have a lot of trouble with contemporary art and it's really contemporary
Nice place for art lovers and people to relax and unwind.
Very nice Ellsworth Kelly exhibition.
In these large rooms, the works presented breathe.
Do not forget to go upstairs to see the resolutely figurative works of Claire Tabouret which invite us to a disturbing face to face.
Museum of contemporary art housing the permanent collection of Yvon Lambert plus a major exhibition every six months. A must see if you are a lover of contemporary art.
A beautiful museum dedicated to contemporary art
The always surprising Lambert collection
A museum that makes children love art
Bravo!
It is contemporary art must love ... there are things that surprise me in common sense. Really nice and others less.
A very nice place especially the restaurant opposite mixing culture and gastronomy an excellent idea
Papal prestige
Provencal land
A festival time
Mazarine in the hospital ...
A relaxing contemporary museum of arts with plenty of space to just enjoy the environment. Wasn t many people during our visit which was great as it allowed us to truely enjoy the surrounds. The restaurant La Violette was closing so we didn t manage to try but I ve been advised (by the locals) it s a must try. Good facilities to cater for all walks of life.
Contemporary art yes, but accessible! and with nice temporary exhibitions like the one on Combas recently.
Extraordinary workshops for children, children will come back with pleasure.
An essential step in Avignon that opens our eyes and mind, every time we spend there.
Avignon's only contemporary art museum, perfect places to take out this culture
A large collection and high level exhibitions. A must see if you love contemporary art!
The art collection was great! Avoid the uptight cafe right up front. This is where the idea of cafe service came to die...
The place is magic! The exhibitions are very interesting!
This private collection of modern art (everything is said) hosted gracefully by the city of Avignon will delight young and old around major conceptual challenges ... The concrete block borrowed from a post-Soviet symbolism neon red whose lascivious pose on the floor sheds light on the creative delirium of Panamanian artist Emilio Teprendeporuncono, this jubilant stroll will change your life forever.
A lovely modern art collection with a nice permanent collection. We saw a really interesting exhibitions by Vik Muniz while we were there. Absolutely worth the 10 euro entrance fee.
my son is at the workshop on Tuesday night and he is very satisfied
Beautiful places to stop for a coffee.
On the other hand, concerning the works, I let myself be seduced by the captivating title of the exhibition "Basquiat Remix" with the presence of paintings by Matisse and Picasso. 3 interesting paintings and for the rest we wonder if it's not a joke. I did not even dare to do more than a room in the permanent exhibition.
No explanation, no possibility to project oneself among these works, nothingness.
Remarkable architectural restoration of the place, but the unprofessional welcome and the poor artistic choices when the works on display suggest that Gallerist and museum curator are very different professions. It is a pity and very disappointing.
Each time very interesting installations very well presented. The place itself is very nice.
An important collection! The exhibition paths bring together famous artists, emerging artists and pedagogical laboratory spaces. Places like this are rare.
I went there for a school trip and it's a very nice place. The guide we had was very interesting.
Not possible to present still today works like plastic bottles on the floor, and line of neon in the blur ... interesting permanent works, which I had already seen.
Simply amazing gallery. Well curated, beautifully hung and clear, informative introductions and captions (by a French standards!). The space is breathtaking, the 10 feels really fair as an entrance point compared to most other galleries we have visited. We have spent two months touring the art of South of France and many, many towns and galleries have had Matisse and Picasso exhibitions. This Lamberts show on Basquiat and his influences had the strongest works by these painters out of anywhere else we visited. Such a beautiful experience!
Where the proposed contemporary art draws us into vast reflections, to be discovered, without hesitation ...
super interesting museum, each piece tells a story.
Beautiful hotel, collection and staging of contemporary art very appreciated
Collection and museography very nice. Temporary exhibitions are always of high quality and despite a low effort on prices (especially for students and young people), the collection is not stingy for all that.
This is one of my favorite museums. I like everything: the location, the permanent collection, the temporary exhibitions. It s both peaceful and inventive
Free for Avignon students! thank you for everything
