I love the people at PLS on Franklin & Washington Street. No matter who helps me they are always very nice and help me get in and out fast. Like Halee, when I m at her window our conversations last longer than our business. She s very nice and has a great attitude, just perfect for this type of work where I m sure all of her customers aren t the best to have to deal with. No matter what time I come in wether it s 10:00am or 3:00am she s always happy and personable. I hope they get paid as well as they do their job! Other PLS s don t compare. I hate to say that because I don t want everyone to start coming here and back it up lol but if anyone can handle it it s this place... Halee and her girls are holding it down 4real!

This organization is a joke. They are not serving the citizens of the state, rather their own agenda.

I called and was told someone was on vacation and to give everything a week to be updated on my checklist. Weeks later nothing has been updated. My emails go unanswered. My money is gone and I have no Indiana license and I started the process back in October. It is so frustrating when no one will even tell you what else could be the hold up when you have sent everything. I sent receipts and everything.

Waiting on my licensure via the Behavioral Health Board. Filled out my application and had everything turned in. They said they did not receive my score report, which they had a month prior. Had to call and have the score report reset three times because they didn't want to look through the emails to find it. Still haven't received my licensure. I'm a transfer from Kentucky. So my application has been finished since May and now it's almost July.

They are unwilling to help anyone, and will not provide any information. I have submitted a application 6 weeks ago and they haven t even gotten to my application yet. I will be filing a formal complaint for their uncooperation.

Was told that they had not received my transcripts, even through I received a confirmation email three weeks prior. After calling multiple times and finally getting someone to look further into it, they found my transcripts. It took another two weeks for my application to be processed, and nobody ever called, emailed, faxed, or notified me that my application had been approved. I had to check the website every day to see if the status of my application had been changed. That was one year ago...... one of my newest coworkers is currently in the same boat and has been waiting almost six weeks for them to review her application. I understand that this is a busy time of year for this agency, but employees who are rude to new grads who just spent 6+ years in school and are eager to begin their career is unacceptable.

Dealing with the state board of nursing has been one of the worst experiences I have ever witnessed. It actually feels like systems are put into place to make sure young aspiring nurses fail. This whole process will take more than 200$ and 2 months. If someone in the right position actually cared about helping another human, this could easily have been a better experience.

There is a woman by the name of Becky who is very rude. She is not helpful and extremely condescending. Trying to find out information about the status of your licensing application is a stressful time and Becky is not understanding and should not be the first person who answers the phone when you call this office.

It's ridiculous that it has taken two entire months so far and I still have lot received any denial or approval for my endorsement license. I moved here because a hurricane destroyed my town, and I spent the last bit of money I had to do it. Now I cant even get a job because it takes a ridiculous amount of time to read an application? People complain about there not being enough nurses but there are so many people with valid licenses that are sitting in this state unemployed because of this agency.

If you ever go before this board specifically the (Behavioral Health board), do not show up black or African American, it will be hell to pay. You guilty when you walk through the door.

If I could give less stars I would. I have never been spoken to so condescending & disrespectful from a business. I by accident clicked something in error when renewing my dental hygiene license. They requested documentation like a copy of my ID & birth certificate to fix it. After submitting this I waited & never heard anything back. It was less than a week before my license expired so I called them. The lady I spoke to was very rude & basically kept repeating "we'll get to it in the order in which it was received"... when I explained I could lose my job since I wouldn't be able to work the next week she repeated again the same thing stating that they have lots of documents to check & basically I'm SOL. No remorse, not helpful, rude, condescending... no compassion or will to help anyone.

I have been waiting over a month for license now. Literally everyone here is useless as rocks. No one can give you a straight answer has to how long you have to wait. as far as I m concerned they seem to be doing everything but their job.

Useless. Refused to give even a rough timeline for licensure process. That is vitally important information. There is no point in speaking with these people if they have no useful information to give.

I recently graduated this past May and me obtaining my license has been such a hassle. The process is completely rigged. The agency has processed the money order I sent but not my documents attached to the money order. I have waited a total of 4 weeks now and still no license. I was told they are processing the first week of May and it s almost July. The department needs help really bad. I have only spoken to one young lady who showed some empathy her name is Dana. Everyone else seems as though they are annoyed we are calling.

Quick turn around time. Very responsive on the phone.

I was very impressed. Went in to just submit for a license, expecting it to take 6wks or more to process. The rep asked if i had five minutes and she returned with my license. Awesome!

I called and received the information I needed within 5 minutes. I have been in the office also and found everyone to be very helpful.

I have been dealing with this office for 25 years and have always received excellent service. They do a great job!

HORRIBLE! Absolutely terrible experience! People working here are completely incompetent and rude. I had to submit my application 4 times and call every step of the way to make sure they were actually doing their job and it still took 2 months to get licensed. They constantly say they have not received things or are processing things and will do absolutely nothing with your application, it will sit there for weeks if you do not call every other day. Truly sad and disappointing that after all of the negative reviews the management does not bother to make any staff changes. When your employees are literally just there to collect a paycheck instead of helping clients and performing their job you have a SERIOUS issue. This agency is compromising the livelihoods of professionals in Indiana and is an embarrassment to the government that employs them. Please take these reviews seriously and make the necessary changes!

If there was an option to give no star as a rating I most certainly would. They re terribly slow, ppl have already completed their studies, why do they have to go through hell and high water to get their certifications.

If I could give negative stars I would. Husband took and passed the state exam to be licensed in Indiana as a home inspector. At the testing center he was told congratulations your passed, they will mail out your license. This obviously didn't happen, as I called two weeks afterwards and they said they emailed saying they needed more documentation. Email was in spam folder for whatever reason. They needed the actual blue water mark score sheet and some other legal documents. Well I email them the legal documents and never heard a response back from them. I ended up having to call a week later, only for them to FINALLY check their email and retrieve the documentation that I sent them. I mailed the score sheet to them, and of course now by this point I am calling everyday to check the status to make sure they are doing their due diligence. I call and they said they are going to finally submit the legal documentation to the board today, after they had it sitting on their desk for a week. Then proceed to tell me that they don't just mail out licenses that I will have to request it. This is new information as no one told me this the 4-5 times that I called and spoke with them on the phone. Their excuse, oh she doesn't work in this department so she wouldn't know. Excuse me if she doesn't then why is she answering the phone and giving out false information. So now its the waiting game for the board to review these documents. I will be calling again tomorrow, and the day after that so forth and so on. It's like having to hold a childs hand to make sure that they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Their jobs.

If I could give this place a negative I would. The staff is very rude/condescending and seem irritated because people call to check on the status of their license ...something we worked hard for. We pay for this agency to send our documentation thru the licensing process and get unprofessional inadequate service in return. I dread calling this place. It's been over 12 weeks and no response from the licensing board and every time I call to check status I get different answers and it's always someone elses fault or there were so many applications the board couldnt get thru them all. After 3 months, 3 board reviews, and no response for licensure is beyond pathetic ... it's egregious...and noone is held accountable....this should be against the law. I guarantee it didnt take 3 months to process the application fee. Leadership isn't any better, I've contacted a supervisor and a director and no response. They dont care. And the same lackluster staff will still be employed. This place needs to just get rid of everyone, including leadership, and start from scratch...and implement higher standards. I don't even know what I feel anymore, just numb, with disbelief that after all the work and dedication to get my license this was the reward.

So, I was infuriated after finding that my temporary permit for LMHC licensure had expired after 6 months; my understanding was that this lasted as long as the application was good for. Then I realized I had just assumed this. On the licensure website there was a link for consumer complaints so I made one. I also put a complaint in a google review. And then I sent an email to the address listed with their contact information. I was so worried; I might have lost a job over this. And I felt like I had been lying now for weeks to people, applying for jobs and asking for work, saying I had this licensure and I didn t. This is a pretty serious thing to lie about.

Luckily, after a great deal of time had passed, I was able to get scheduled on the agenda of the board meeting to request an extension. I was already worried I would have to do this; I had heard about someone who had a temporary LMHC-A permit and my understanding was that you could always request another one if absolutely necessary; however, again, this window opened after 6 months not 12. So there I was at the board meeting. I was ready to go home when they said no, that was how they had always done things. Luckily for me there had to be an attorney present I guess. They checked over the legal jargon, again and again. I thought, well, I guess I can accept if they are saying it was just implied. However, the fact that this was not specifically stated- and because of the way things were actually stated- this temporary permit was respected for another 6 months.

Looking back, I truly wish I had been scheduled already and taken the test within the 6 month window. However, as things ended up playing out, I was able to allow myself more time to study. This was probably a necessity because, in the end, I found out that 40-45% of test takers of this test do not pass the first time. I am scheduled for about a month and a half from now and have almost completed all of the simulations on a site I ve really loved studying from.

Overall I found, after this learning experience, that it does pay to complain. It does pay to speak up. It s better because even if nothing changes, you will at least feel better after getting it out.

I have called several times with questions regarding my licensure, and the people have been extremely knowledgeable without having to put me on hold or look anything up. I also very much appreciated that I could submit the paperwork for certain parts of my licensure before other parts were in place to move the process along faster. People need to realize that this kind of thing always takes a long time, regardless of the state or location. Sure, I wish things were done sooner, but I think that the wait time has been quite reasonable.

Ive been calling their office for about 20 mins. Everytime I pick pharmacy board it will not transfer me to anyone it hangs up on me even tried to call from a different phone and still does it! Not very happy. I paid these people almost two months ago for my license and I still havent heard anything back....

No wonder there is nursing shortage ~ these are the MOST INCOMPETENT individuals with whom I have tried to work. I have been a nurse in IN for 25yrs and I am embarrassed of those representing our nursing board. DO YOUR JOB!!
