I ve been business banking with Independent Bank for seven years and the customer service at Poplar near Clark Tower, Poplar near East High, and Union have always provided excellent service. Depositing checks, getting cashiers checks, and free notary service have all been a benefit to my company. A good local professional bank!

$15 "convenience fee" to pay online is ridiculous....
$15 "convenience fee" to pay online is ridiculous. Essentially penalizing people for paying in a method that is quicker and more secure doesn't make a lot of sense for a financial institution. If you have a choice to get auto-financing elsewhere, I'd recommend to do so.

I usually don t write reviews, but after seeing some of these, I feel the need to share my experience. I have been with Independent Bank for 22 years, ever since the bank was established in Memphis. I have had numerous encounters with the bank since then (including several additional accounts), and have been extremely pleased with every experience. The customer service has always been excellent and I have no idea where all of these negative reviews are coming from!
I most often deal directly with Timico, at the Tower-Main branch, and she is amazing! From general questions to needing assistance with much larger, or unexpected issues, she immediately responds and takes care of whatever it is that I need, and always with impeccable customer service.
After reading some of these other reviews, you would think that in 22 years, I would have come across a few negative experiences, but I have not. Not even close. I feel very safe and confident with my financial business being through Independent Bank.

As a small business owner I m so glad that I was referred to Independent Bank, from the moment I walked through the door and spoke with Mr. Jeff K. and his branch staff I was treated with the utmost importance. This bank has met all of my business banking needs so much so I decided to give them my personal banking needs as well. The staff at all of the locations that I frequent the most have noticed my banking patterns and make sure my needs are met consistently.
As a request and or recommendation I would like to see smart ATMs throughout the city for those times when I can t make the bank for cash or check deposits after hours!!
