The Indian Maritime University is headquartered at Chennai and the new HQ building is built at 300 acres land allotted to IMU at Semmancherry which lies between East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road (Rajiv Gandhi Salai). The IMU has its regional campuses at Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Cochin. IMU presently offers Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate Diploma and Post Graduate Degree courses in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Ship Building & Repair, Maritime Management, Doctoral Programmes and Post Sea Courses.

Coz m studying here in first year nautical science branch ;) loving it... Though some things are done little late here but nice place and faculties

worst university no university owned books , no placements no system to add weitage of practicals and theory 50% passing, boys filled with arrers upto to neck

is hotel mandatory for MBA student or can resise outside also

Not yet got admission being passed the IMU CET exam so... There is a IMU CET exam for to be admin in the college

A name doesn't make a university big and if it wants to big and best then working people must think big and should leave there narrow thinking especially about girls.

Lovely atmos, little week in academicside being government college. But memories build life

A government University for Marine studies offering various courses for different aspects of the shipping industry. It offers pre-sea courses as well as post-sea courses too. A very known name for students those who want to pursue their career in Nautical Science. Infrastructure is good and fees is low as compared to private universities and colleges. Although, placement stats are not as good as other private colleges but the placement stats are improving. I have completed my Diploma in Nautical Science in 2017 from this college and I found a good academic and hostel life here, which will be memorable to me for my lifetime

Spread over 300 acres of sprawling area.Having tall white HQ block with Buckingham canal passing by makes it even more beautiful. Also having academic block and marine engineering hostel for B.Tech as a part of imu chennai campus semmencherry extension.

B.Sc nautical science or B.Tech Marine engineering which is best one for joining. job opportunity. fees structure. cut off mark.

Indian maritime university hq is located at uthandi . Btech programme of the IMU is being held here. All the imu campuses hq is located here. It is around 300 acre of land in which the hq building is being located and also btech classes are also in this building . This campus is having a vast area of playgrounds,and many other facilities are also there.

Building is very Super and the University Compound is Very Clean.

The ambiance is too good.... but the place is so remote

Away from the city and located in the Ecr highway. The institution shapes futures Mariners and students in the logistics and supply chain industry. Though located quite far from the city it provides its students with tranquility and a good atmosphere to be in. There is hardly any noise and traffic. The weather seems to be better here, though summer can be a problem.

Is it compulsory to give IMU CET entrance exam...is it possible to get addmission without IMU CET... plzz reply

I am selected in BSc maritime science in Mumbai campus imu, can anyone tell me the difference between beech in marine engineering and bc in maritime science and also is it good to study maritime science
