Impact community is not a very friendly place to visit. Impact Community was very rude to me and disrespectful. I am a working resident of Franklin County and I am unable to get assistance. I had a note from my physician saying that I could benefit from an air conditioning unit and they refused me. I fell just right below the income guidelines and they still refused me. I came in one day and asked if he had any more tickets for me to see a worker and the security guard said no I do not have any more tickets. As I was standing there, a black lady come in to Impact community and he handed her a number. I asked, "I thought you said you did not have anymore tickets" and he said "you are not the right person". "Is it because I'm white?" And he looked at me up and down and said "that's one reason."
Are you f****** serious.

I think Impact is needed in the community but I am extremely intimidated by this staff
I feel judged due to my income level which is caused by disability. I here positive things about this agency and was assisted but felt like like a burden when I leave. I did get an appointment for the second time in 8 years.

Sometimes we must try more than once to be in the count for that particular day. But it is worth it!

I would especially like to Thank Ms LaShone and Ms Wanda for their attentiveness in providing me with pertinent information and assistance.

I am a United States Air Force (service connected) Disabled Veteran, who is very satisfied with the Service at IMPACT. ~USAFDAV

I believe that Impact is just another government community organization that's a waste of taxpayers money. They leisurely walk around with nothing to do and keep you waiting on them until they are ready to do a little work for the day. They are unprofessional to the people who come there for service. Impact should be monitored for being useless and wasteful.

They were little slow and running behind while I was there but I didn't wait long and rhey were helpful making sure that I had everything I needed. I had a few things missing and they had computers I could use to print what I still needed.

I have seeked help from Impacta Community Action in a very critical time due to Covid And it has been about two months since I put in my application... and one month since I ve been approved and promised that my electric account was taken care of. I called back in today because the electric company is saying that they did not take care of the promised amount on my account and now I m up for disconnection when I was told that it was taken care of! It s very frustrating that innocent people are seeking help due to this disaster and they are being told like myself, that they are being helped when no one s really doing anything! My son homeschools and pretty soon we won t have power!

First they do have a somewhat of a parking lot. Usually they only take 30 people a day. I've had to b there at 3-4 n the morning and wait til they open at 8am. If u want n there that's what u have to do. They'll b 50 or more people there sometimes. U not 1of the 30 u have to go back next day. The bright side is u can do it online now too. Love it!!

Workforce development program is a joke as far as I'm concerned. I attended a workforce opportunity day on the 14th of December and after stating that I have a 24 year old conviction, they gave me the paper work any way to complete my drug test, which I passed. Only to go to the impact office for the assessment test to be turned away for have a felony conviction. I just told them this is why I stopped looking for jobs and putting in applications for this reason alone even with a Bachelor's and Associate's degree it's tough. I just know now that it is a lifelong hustle/struggle to stay ahead in this state of Ohio when you have a felony even if it is 24 years old. Seriously considering a move out of this state but won't change me being a Buckeye!

When applying for HEAP/ PIPP arrive early, maybe around 6 in the morning...they only see the first 25 people. Go through the back doors, you can wait inside to be seen as they don't actually open until 7. Great help!

The best place to get help with utilities, education, back to work programs and so many opportunities occur at the Bryson Building.
and now they've moved and I'm going to miss the old building. But everything must change, including us.

They got me on the PIPP plan and got my electric back on. But the lady who was signing me needs some customer service training. She needs to learn some professional lessons. And the inside reeked of marijuana.

A man named Mr. Mathis, was so nice & very helpful during my visit to get on Pipp Plus. This man has a kindness & much respect for others. I will always remember the way he made me feel he was doing all he could to help me. GOD, bless Mr. Mathis & Impact for all.

This is a great place to go to get assistance with gas and electric especially if you are in disconnection notice. Just keep in mind sometimes you have to get there as early as 3 a.m. depending on what programs they have currently going on.

These people are absolutely horrible, they could care less about people and can't wait for a reason to turn you away like they get enjoyment out of turning away the people that really need help and o yeah stand outside for 3-5 hrs in the cold. I've been here many times and it's the same thing every time. They need to get rid of them all or teach them about customer service.

The service has moved to a better location. They were covid-19 compliant. Plenty of people to help with the process. Computers were available to self start your services, help for those not computer savvy was available. I would recommend going early a line seems to always be present. Time frame was good. I appreciated not having to wait for hours.

Impact can be a great resource for struggling families I also have free produce giveaways and a great Referral Services also go to sign up for firefighter for kids if you're in need of toys during the holiday season however generally the lines are long and you must make sure that you have all the proof documents required for any of their programs and calling them on the phone to make an appointment is next to Impossible but it's worth the work in the effort if you are needy family

Loved it that they changed it to where you don't have to get there by 5:00am and sit outside untill they opened to be seen and the process inside was so much easier and faster than before, I was in and out in no time for the pipp plus program.
