Great attention to refugees. It's have been a pleasure to receive helpful attention in that place.

Mixed feelings about IRCO. I should say that the ESL teachers are excellent according to testimonials from other students I have talked to, friends that have taken classes there and myself as a learner. Nice people there volunteering, the staff of the International Language Bank is very professional, the front desk assistants are very polite and helpful. On the downside, however, there is some problem going on with the work of some of its workers, probably and hopefully it's not really 'some' workers because I can't tell about others as far as I am concerned, but I do speak about one of them. It is not only my opinion, but my experience, my relatives's and others that have told me the same. We recommend that more attention is paid to their performance and more or better supervision is made because there are so many people who need help starting off a new life in this great country and depend on IRCO for that. I really don't want to say names that can affect a persons job because I am not in a position to do that and I think people deserve second chances, but please, if you want to provide the great service youre known for, do more constant supervision or apply surveys to clients to know how well your staff is working. Your support is very appreciated by many.

Snooty receptionists (yes there were a couple). My brother & I went to see if they needed volunteers to help, and we were treated as though we had turned up in an ICE center and declared ourselves to be illegal immigrants. A rather rude experience - this coming from a person who has goodwill towards the organization.

The volunteers and teachers here do an amazing job with very little resources helping immigrants and refugees learn English and get job/culture skills. Portland is lucky to have so many refugees and immigrants, helps make this city much more interesting and friendly.

A great place for immigrants and refugees to find resources in the community

As an immigrant I have tons to thank this place for. They offer a wide variety of free classes and enrollments to help you understand how things work in this country (everything from credit card management, English classes, work training, etc). People are very attentive and they will try to help you out as much as they can.

Good place to start new life for immigrants and refugees.

I have called and left a message for someone to give me a call. i am a single mother of 3, i was diagnosed with covid, and multnomah county heath department appointment Sabah Gerges to help me with rent assistance during this time, when sabah called me to speak to me she was extremely rude and made me feel bad for trying to still take care of my children (i dont have a choice ) while i am sick, we began to text in regards to what information she needed from me in order to submit me for rent assistance,i emailed her everything she asked me for when she asked me for it so she could have it first thing this morning to submit for the open listings for rental assistance. she proceeded at 8.35am this morning to text me and i unfortanatly didn't notice asking me for a copy of my ID, (which she had already in her email) , when i didn't see the text she proceeded to text me with "hurry up". then followed with "never mind i found it". i than replied with a response in regards to her being unprofessional towards me and asked her to please be respectful when ive only ever been nice to her and thanked her, which then she proceeded to threatened me by saying "she didn't need to turn the application for my rent assistance in or get up that early to help me. keep in mind i have all of this in text correspondence and it looks very poorly on your organization having someone be so cruel and awful towards someone and play with their home being paid for during a time of crisis. i then had to ask her multiple times to tell me who she worked for and she had finally told me multnomah county which they directed me to here based off her email. she then proceeded to text me about how if im going to contact her manager to just do so , when i asked her multiple times to just confirm if she did submit my application for rent assistance like she was supposed to be doing and she finally replied that she did. i am very upset that being a covid victum and my family suffering that a organization would have someone like this working for them and i want to be contacted impudently before i take legal action against her and this company. and i can supply whoever needs the text messages with them. this looks VERY BAD ON YOUR ORGANIZATION.

I am so upset to find out that funds are being used to pay bills for people who waste their money...example...
Family who is under investigation for child abuse...family pays low income rent. Family uses their money for expensive toys and eating out a lot. Made comments they feel they deserve to have bills paid by system. Did not pay cell phone bill, has four I-phones and only two adults. Each phone cost over 800.00. Blew phone bill money on more toys and had phone bill payed by IRCO.
Is there not someone overlooking these funds more?

I wanted to get translated to my some paper and they told me he is not going to be until the next day or the weekend after but after I explained how much I needed they really do it for me the same day care awesome people there

Who ever answered the phone at 9:50 today 1/09/20, is just rude hanging up on people. Learn some customer service and people skills. This is a place to help people and all you do is be rude. Then she puts puts me to voicemail. Wow.

There is so much support and so many activities you can do here. I love this place and coming with friends. They offer volunteering opportunities for people who want to get involved in their community and don't know how to.

Mange many programs to new refugees, youth, women and seniors.

I'm very dissapointed with front desk staff, especially the lady there with curly hair. She's always angry and never want to answer all the questions, doesn't gives enought information regarding case workers if you're looking to someone in urgent need's!! Please avoid her if you have a chance!! Updates: I came for help to help me pay rent, I had a very difficult situation. I met with a worker, his name is Vasily, I told him everything and he took all the necessary information and promised that they would help me cover the rent this month. I was very glad, but during the whole week no one paid anything and he didn t even answer calls and messages and he was never at the office. I was very upset I didn t know what to do !! I had to borrow money from relatives, now I don t know what I will give. I just want to tell you that do not trust the workers in IRCO, from my very sad experience.

IRCO is a shelter to the homeless, a father to the fatherless, gives hope to the hopeless, take you from nowhere to somewhere. IRCO will never neglect you because of your race or color. Come to IRCO and the difference.

This place is really unorganized! I would not suggest this place to anyone. There is a lady that works there, I m guessing she s supposed to be in charge of the new hiring packets... or something! But you can never get a hold of her! So if you have some important things to take care of you are out of luck because she s never available and she never answers her phone or emails! I try asking the front desk if there s anyone else who could help me and they said no?! There really slow at processing paperwork and making sure you get paid!

A good place to get information for starting a new life in the US.

This community center offers a wide variety of activities. I participate in Kendo with Portland Kendo Club. Facilities are clean and generally well maintained.

Was trying to get help for dv at this place but they probably heard the voices of my enemies and follow their directions , because NO founds to help me in my need. I'm a refugee needed like a place to stay I became homeless recently and they sent me to sleep on the streets and also a fat wore helped me that day with the translation,
